I called for an estimate on a replacement door. I also need other work done but needed to replace the door as soon as possible. The man who returned the call said they would not even come to give an estimate for just a replacement door. My house is only 2 miles away from them!!!!!! Business must be good!!!!!

I needed to replace my entry door of my condo because it failed after less than 10 years. This was due to the poor installation of the original door which lacked any flashing to prevent water from getting in between the exterior wall and the door jamb. Jerry and his son Jessie showed up on time and began their work of removing and re-framing the door opening and installing a beautiful Harvey door with a composite jamb. I now have a door with curb appeal. They were easy to work, cleaned up after themselves and were true craftsmen. They also repaired my patio door which was so poorly installed that you could grab the door frame and move it around. The hinges actually lacked the appropriate number of screws. Jerry fixed all of this. At some point I will replace this door as well and will call Jerry to do the work. I look forward to having Jerry and his sons do more work for me in the future.

Jerry was very nice and reliable. They were efficient and worked quickly. We were pleased with the results.

Two contractors were great. They were able to come out and see the screen in porch quickly and provided a spot on estimate. As work was conducted there were a few areas that they ran into specifically around some water damaged area. They fixed this without increasing the overall cost. The remodel went very well and the quality of the screened in porch is top notch. I would hire two contractors in the future and recommend others do as well

two guys was not the cheapest bid , but the extra money was well spent. Jerry told me things that I did not know and the other contractors did not even mention. He took care of the permit and cleaned up after the job was done. The job came out better than expected and I would not hesitate to use him again.

Gentlemen Carpenters ! Jerry and his son , Jessie are true craftsmen. We needed multiple exterior doors replaced on our historic home. We had almost given up on having the doors replaced after several contractors looked at the job and just walked away shaking their heads ... " they wouldn't even touch them." ..Then we found Gerry on Angie's list. Our good fortune !! The job required a high level of skill and experience with the odd slanting doors needing customization after a special order, 6" door jams, installation in steel and stone frames, topped off with the delicate removal/ and replacement of 19th c. period trim work. We are so pleased with the end result... the doors look and function beautifully. And if that were not enough, Gerry shared some history on how the historic trim would have been constructed; we were thrilled with this insight... We were so impressed, we have already re-engaged them. Would highly recommend and will certainly be using again ....

Mr. B and his son were very pleasant and easy get along with. They worked hard and were punctual. They worked on the job continuously (i.e. they weren't doing other jobs at the same time) so completed it in good order. They suggested improvements and didn't ask for more money at the end for extra work they performed. They cleaned up after they finished the job. They were nice to our pesky dog, who watched them all day every day.

Very arrogant. Wanted him to come look at an entrance door that I installed in my daughter's home. It is an older home and I wasn't satisfied the way it looked. He kept telling me it would cost $800.00 to install the door. I told him I would pay him to come look at the door and go from there. He would have none of that and was very arrogant that I tried to save my daughter some money as she is a single mom. Would not recommend this contractor.

This was a large difficult job. There was one area that the window frame had rotted and a wall had to be replaced. This job and the rest of the work was done expertly and professionally by the owner and his son. They started exactly on time and worked through until the job was done. They showed up everyday on time and were always quiet and professional. They used the best products and their work was top quality. I am sure we could have gotten better prices but for a price/value standpoint they were worth every cent.

Jerry, the contractor, was on time for both the appraisal meet and on the day of installation. Since this is a very old house it requires custom orders for most replacements or repairs but with Jerry's experience along with the assistance of his son was able to modify the wall opening to accept a standard door while maintaining the original exterior appearance. This "experience" saved me hundreds of dollars and shortened the order time by weeks. The job took about eight hours to complete mainly because of the non standard old house dimensions and there were a few surprises along the way. For example my foundation blocking was made by the original builder and interferred with the new door sill but the problems were solved with ingenuity and the job was completed as promised in one day.

The project went very well. I wanted a small deck built in my back yard. I obtained a building permit, called Digsafe then searched Angie's list for contractors that specialized in decks. I did not want to deal with a general contractor or large company. I selected 3 small contracting companies and called for quotes. One contractor did not respond, the other 2 came out and gave quotes. I selected Two Contractors because the quote was cheaper, and from talking to Jerry he obviously had personally built many decks, and they were a small operation that would stay on my job until it was done. The job took about 10 days. It would have been less it not for all of the rain. The deck came out great. They cleaned up everyday and at the end of the job.

The experience was pleasant and professional from start to finish, including a detailed and accurate estimate, punctual start and finish times, and easy collaboration to make decisions throughout the project. The finished product meets my needs and expectations. It adds to the appearance of my house.

All the work completed was superior. He was very professional and personable. All construction debris was cleaned up. He showed up when he said he would. He listened to our ideas and designed such beautiful detail above our front door. Jerry even picked up the door at Home Depot for us, which we felt was going above and beyond. We would recommend him without hesitation, and we even told Jerry we would be willing to talk to any of his potential customers. Matt, who did our siding, added detail around our windows and we couldn't be more pleased. We already have our next project planned and we look forward to working with Jerry again. It was absolutely a pleasure to get to know Jerry, and the work completed was priced reasonably and worth every penny.

Very nice man - came to look at work fairly promptly but then didn't get back to me with estimate till almost 2 weeks later! I had already hired someone else to do the work. His estimate was very high.

Two Contractors came out and did but before they would do an estimate they advised me of some possible issues. They did take some measurements and just advised me that I should take care of some issue before they could price it out. At least they were honest and willing to spend at least 30 minutes explaining to me various facets of the project. Very professional and knowledgeable.

We had to have our old back porch that ran almost the entire length of the house removed and rebuilt from scratch. We contacted Jerry and Matt based on the reviews that we read on Angle's List. They came out to the house right away, and within a few days we had our drawings and written estimate in hand and were ready to get started. Our experience was great from beginning to end. Jerry and Matt are extremely professional and skilled and handled the entire job to our highest expectations. They were always accessible and answered any questions we had on a daily basis. The job took as long as they had estimated from the start and there were no surprises along the way. They built our new porch/deck exactly to our specifications. Our completed screened porch and open deck is beautiful and has made the whole house look better than it has in years! We highly recommend the services of "Two Contractors" and would not hesitate to call on them again.

I have a contract for them to do some work on my house, but they haven’t started the work yet. I would definitely recommend them. Matt who is the contractor I have been working with in their company knows what he is talking about. I have had a lot of other people who have tried to come and give me a sales pitch. However, Matt has been really frank about the job and he was kind of saying that he would consider not taking the job if he felt like it wasn’t the right fit. So, he is really honest and fair about what needs to be done as well as how much work needs to be done. I think it’s possible for somebody to give me a low bid and do a cheap and junky job. Matt was pretty frank and told me that it would require more once I do this part of the project. He has been really fair about the full scope of the work necessary. I also feel like he is charging a reasonable price considering that. He has done a great job with his punctuality and he is quite professional as well. I would use his services again.

As with all the times Two Contractors works on our house the work is done professionally, promptly and at a very reasonable price.

To misquote a bit of Star Wars dialog, these are the carpenters you have been looking for. They arrived on time to give a quote, and were able to meet our (admittedly flexible) schedule. The work was done just the way we wanted, it looked great to us and, more importantly, was approved by the building inspector. They seem to understand older houses and give good explanations. I can think of no way to improve their performance. If I were casting new carpenters for This Old House, I would pick these two.

I have used their services twice in the past 3 months and have had excellent results both times. I will use them in the future and I highly recommend Two Contractors.

This was by far the BEST experience I have had with contractors in the State of Rhode Island.

The job was very well done. TWO CONTRACTORS have done a number of jobs for me in different types of work (siding, windows, doors, a deck) and their work is always exceptional.

Two Contractors proved to be dependable, fair, honest, punctual, and knowledgeable. When they came to my home to give me an estimate, we walked around the house together with Matt and Jerry asking specific questions about what I wanted done and they also made several helpful design suggestions. They gave me several different options regarding specific siding products that I could use on my home. After narrowing down my choices, Two Contractors gave me specific, detailed, written estimates for each of my product choices. Once I made my choice, Two Contractors began the job on the date specified and stayed on the job until it was completed. Along the way, Matt and Jerry always took time to answer my questions and address my concerns about the project. Even after the siding job was completed, Matt and Jerry have stopped by the house when they are in the area just to make sure everything is fine and that I don't have any concerns or questions. When they replaced my 20 windows a year earlier, the entire job was completed in one day! Amazing! I will definitely hire Two Contractors to do future projects at my house and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for honest, reliable, professional, knowledgeable contractors.

As with every other project done by TWO CONTRACTORS, this latest project went extremely well. It was done exactly as I wanted it done, within the estimated time frame and to a very high standard of workmanship. I can recommend TWO CONTRACTORS wholeheartedly.
