Description of Work: John and his crew removed our wooden deck and built a 20'x30' blue-stone patio and steps. They also created an additional gravel parking spot off of the existing driveway and landscaped the surrounding areas and seeded. John was great to work with and very responsive. We are very happy with the work done and would gladly recommend him. He also stopped back to do touch up work when we requested. The job took about two weeks and cost about $20,000. We love our new outdoor space.

Description of Work: We had a signficant landscaping project at our house in Narragansett, RI that was required due to installation on a new septic system and renovations we were planning. John came to the house and spent 1-2 hours going over landscape design ideas including size of patio, types of shrubs, trees, etc. to consider. I am glad we took this approach as opposed to hiring a landscape designer followed by a contractor to do the work. John handled both the design and implementation which ended up being a more cost effective approach. After our discussion, John took more measurements. John got back to us less than one week later with a proposal. He then came out to discuss the proposal in more detail . this included a software program that allows him to imbed a photograph of our house and create the surrounding landscape. This gave us a great visual of what the work would look like ahead of time. Upon completing discussion we hired John to proceed with project. John and his crew were substantially on schedule. If I had any questions or need for updates I would email John and he would get back promptly the same evening by email. John had predicted a completion date and was within about 3-4 days of his original prediction. Again, there was a significant amount of work required. We made slight changes to the scope of work along the way. During these change discussion John would let me know if there was a likely impact to the budget. In spite of the changes John was able to stay on budget. He did a very good job communicating throughout the process. Quality of the work seems excellent. Of course we will know bettter next spring as we see the trees and shrubs come in but John has committed to coming back and replacing anything that did not survive the winter . The grass did come in extremely well. The patio work was outsourced by John. Quality seemed good except for a couple of loose pavers . John came back and took care of those. Most impressively, because it was unsolicited by me, after Hurricane Sandy John stopped back to our house to check on the shrubs and trees. He reset a few shrubs and raked out the stone parking area. Overall, I would rate the quality of design and implementation to be between excellent and good. Let's call it very good. I would rate the overall experience to be excellent and will use Greenskeeper again for other projects. I would highly recommend them to others.

Description of Work: Very responsible and very pleasant. We had just finished an addition on our home. So the front and backyards were a terrible mess after 6 months of construction. They did very nice work repairing the soil, transplanting the few bushes that were able to salvaged. Unfortunately it was very late in the season(June) to plant new grass. They returned twice during the summer to reseed and finally returned this month to redo the lawn. This was at no additional cost to us. I would wholeheartedly recommend them.

Description of Work: We had a privacy hedge of yews removed and replaced them with selection made by Greenskeeper for privacy, salt resistance and soil conditions. We now have 20 Chinese Junipers on raised, mulched beds, as well as half a dozen inkberry plants. In addition, grass had to be reseeded in front of some of the trees and plants. The design was asymmetrical and looks very natural by positioning trees in two rows on angles but within the 3 foot growth span. The trees were 8 feet tall when planted. John, the owner, also installed a blood good maple in center of front yard with mulching on a raised bed and a small cuteaf maple with grasses and gold cypress plants surrounding the small maple on a curvileaner extending from the junipers. We also had mulching placed on the garden beds surrounding the backyard patio, The workers were on time, worked diligently, and completed a lovely job with a lovely design. We would definately use Greenskeeper Inc again for prompt service, reliability and a nice selection and design. Their price was competitive than other bids I had. M Korr

Description of Work: Use them regularly to cut lawn and trim. Called due to a couple of trees being down from storm. Replanted 2 trees, and staked them. Responded immediately. Fixed last minute requests as well. Always a pleasure to do business with and I am not an easy one to please!

Description of Work: I last used Greenskeeper Company for landscaping about a week ago. They put in a new flower bed. They took out all the old landscaping and put in a new one. They also cut some hedges and old bushes and leaves.

Description of Work: Contractor expanded and rehabbed parking surface with stone. He reused some on site material and removed unwanted boulders.

Description of Work: Phase one, a drive way was installed with a circle of pavers to break up the blacktop. Phase two, a planting bed was created, plants installed and mulch applied to the entire bed.

Description of Work: We had a small boulder wall built along a slope of our yard in preparation for planing perennial garden beds.

Description of Work: We had Greenskeeper tear down and rebuild a retaining wall that was approximately 70 ft long and 5 ft high. The existing wall was rotted and falling apart. Machinery was brought in to tear down the old wall and the debris was hauled away the same day. The wall was rebuilt, it was back filled and the lawn was hydroseeded.

Description of Work: John has offered his services to Glocester Little League at cost (or N/C) for the past year (which he has not even billed us for yet). He weed sprayed and power raked 4 of our ballfields and hydroseeded one also. The quality is top notch.
