Avoid this company at all costs! On Feb. 21, 2023 York performed specified work that was recommended by our Auditor Dustin (great salesman). Attic insulation, hall bath exhaust fan, and new water heater/heat pump were installed. Upon completion 6 hours later, bath exhaust fans never shuts off (will come on, and stay on for hours), the water heater was installed by one individual that took the full 6 hours to install (should have taken no longer then 2 hours tops) In the end we were left with 2 scratches on our newly installed floor (<2yrs old), one of which is 14” long because the workers failed to bring a dolly for the half full 40 gallon water tank that was not completely emptied before removal, the cold water pipe was sticking out 10” from the base close to the floor, possibly causing a trip hazard, flood, or both, (see pictures), our front door alarm came up missing from the final air flow check, 2 nail pops, and a small crack in our ceiling We were told that we would have hot water in one hour after completion. Eight hours later, still no hot water. The water heater was never programmed! I had to program it myself. The next day I contacted Noah (owner of the company) with our concerns. Noah seems to think a water pipe sticking out 10” from the water heaters base is normal. After addressing my concerns, he finally agreed to send someone out to reroute the cold water pipe, and repair the 14” scratch. One week later the pipe was rerouted and workers tried to repair the gash in my floor to no avail. When workers left we were told that Noah would contact us concerning the gash in the floor because it was too deep and unrepairable. After waiting for one week my husband had to call Noah to find out what was happening with the floor, only to be told that (I) his wife had scratched it and covered it up. WOW! Then why did they try to repair it the last time out? We keep 4 area rugs down to protect our floors. At one point a worker had approached me to ask “Mam where did we scratch your floor?” (I had answered that, I knew nothing about a scratch) while being diverted by another worker stating “No, no that was done on prior job site”. Hearing that I did not feel the need to check my floor at that point. Upon going downstairs to get something, I noticed that the small area rug that had been doubled back all day was now laid out flat with cardboard placed on top, while the second rug was doubled back with cardboard on the floor, to remove the ½ full water heater with no dolly. I noticed puddles of water on the floor so I grabbed a towel to wipe up the water. At that point one of the workers told me that was their job and persisted on me giving him the towel. Moving forward York Home Performance and its owners refuse to take responsibility for their workers negligence. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Next Stop BBB!
