Everything went very well until after the installation. The consultation was great, they seemed to know exactly what I wanted for my pond. It was to be 11 foot by 16 foot, and 3 feet deep to support my koi. It was to have a bog garden, which led to a small creek, then to a waterfall back into the pond. They were very professional, and built a gorgeous pond with a bog garden and waterfall just like we wanted! My wife and I were thrilled with how it looked, we absolutely loved our pond! Now for the problems....Some of which still plague the pond to this day. It developed a leak somewhere by the next Spring, the one way check valve had stopped working completely...Allowing the bog garden to completely drain back into the pond when it was shut off, and along the back of the pond..The liner was cut too short and the pond would overflow there instead of the built in overflow that is in the skimmer box. They came out to take a look, and told me that there were too many plants in the bog garden (which they put in), and if they took some out and thinned them out... It would stop the leak. I told them to go ahead and do that...They also replaced the check valve with another one. The pond seemed fine for about another month, maybe two....And it then developed another leak, this time, we could run the pond for about two days and the level would be down to the point that the pump would be sucking air....They came out again after I called...Only this time it took them two to three weeks to get out to check it out. That then put my pond out of it's warranty coverage period. So...I would basically have to pay to have the leak fixed this time, or anything else for that matter. While they were here, they tried to talk me into dumping another $10,000.00 into the pond by enlarging the bog garden, putting in a bigger pump and skimmer, and upgrading my lighting to l.e.d. lighting. I was thinking to myself....I already spent a rather large amount of money having this pond built, and it's been nothing but problems already....Why in the world would I sink another small fortune into something that wasn't done right in the first place? So....Being the rather peaceful person that I tend to be....I just let it go and started calling other pond places to try to get the problems fixed right. I had two different pond professionals out to see the pond. Both of them told me that corners were cut and a few things were not done correctly. I have had the skimmer wier rebolted, extra rock work done, another check valve put in, the creek bed lowered because it was too shallow, a new fall rock put in (The old one was not done correctly and started sagging and leaning to the left really bad.) My pond still has a leak of about 4 inches of water lost overnight....The rock work the gardens edge did has caved in on the left side of the pond near the waterfall. I was told by the last two pond professionals that since the new bolts on the waterfall weir didn't fix the leak, that the pond needs a new liner put in. Since I am now in financial ruins, and have some very serious health issues that I am currently dealing with, I can't afford to have the pond fixed right....So, I guess I am now stuck with a pond that I will never be able to really enjoy. I later found out that the person who was in charge of installing my pond left the garden's edge on bad terms....Oddly enough...It wasn't very long after my pond was completed. I also found out that my pond is barely 20 inches deep, it's supposed to be 3 feet deep....They didn't ever seem to want to fix that from the beginning either after I said something about it. Don't get me wrong....Their work is beautiful upon completion, they are very nice and I enjoyed working with them....But I have been told by two other pond professionals that it wasn't done right....And since I am by no means a pond professional, I didn't know. Now I'm stuck with a pond that I can't use. Don't know why I waited so long to join Angie's list and write my review, but there you have my experience with The Garden's Edge.
