Kollinger Autobody not only did excellent work on my vehicle, they helped me navigate a traitorous insurance mine field that maximized my vehicles retained value.

The repairs were completed as explained and when promised. A perfect match with the original look. No follow-up service required. Not only was the exterior of the car repaired but they completely cleaned the car interior - service above and beyond what was expected.

Hired to repair the rear of my car after having been hit from behind. Beyond the delay in getting me scheduled, the work they did fixed the vehicle, but resulted in other damage to the vehicle.Scratches from their work, sub standard installment of a piece to the bumper is peeling and loose. After repeated phone calls and no response, I gave up. I was told Burt Kollinger would call me 3 different times and I never heard from him. In summary my experience was sub standard workmanship, and bad BAD, bad customer service.

Kollinger Auto Body was referred to us by our insurance company. We took our vehicle to them in early December and they indicated at that time that the repair work would take no more than 1 month. We got a rental car. Nearing the 1 month time period, Kollinger indicated that our vehicle was not finished. On our rental car, we had reached the limit on which our insurance would pay for its cost. Kollinger indicated that they would pay for our rental car until the work on our vehicle was finished by them. Over the next 3 months, we received varying accounts from Kollinger representatives as to when our vehicle would be completed. We also received varying accounts as to why it was taking so long (employee turnover, damaged replacement parts, they were working on several other cars, etc.) They finally finished our vehicle in April which was nearly 4 months later. Upon picking our vehicle, the tires were extremely low on air pressure and the Kollinger representative indicated that they had also needed to replace our battery (our vehicle is only 4 years old). The quality of the actual repair work that they did on our vehicle seems fine at this point.

MAJOR repairs needed to be made to the entire right side of my car, which was damaged in an accident. I was told it would take about 7 business days, but after disassembling the car, they found more extensive damage. On that 7th day, I received an email informing me of the extra damage, and saying that it would take longer to repair. No estimate of time for the extended job was given. I got my car back 3 weeks later (18 business days). Considering the damage, I was not surprised at the time it took. Plus, I think they were very busy at that time. However, communication regarding the return of my vehicle could have been a little better. I was the one initiating contact. The finish date kept getting pushed back, but George in the shop was great about promptly returning my e-mails. The quality of the work, though, was worth the wait. I cannot tell where the damage was, and the paint job is phenomenal. (I'm a very particular person, too.) George had indicated that quality of work was their highest priority. After driving my car for a week or so, I noticed two very minor items that needed to be adjusted. Kollinger did not hesitate to check them out and fix them quickly. (They were simple tweaks.) Kollinger helped arrange a rental car for me while they had my car, so dropping off and picking up was a breeze. The people there are not warm and fuzzy, but they are polite, professional and helpful. I would absolutely recommend them and go back if I need auto body work. I can't imagine getting better service and quality job than I got here.

Terrible. Had my car for THREE MONTHS to do a one week job. Always had excuses. Didn't honor original estimate.

The paint would not adhere properly to the new bumper that they provided and installed, and it took a few tries to get the paint to adhere. And then it peeled off again, a few months later. Was told that it was not their problem ... said we must have hit something .... no we did not. So in spite of Nationwides's guarantee, it is still the same way, with the paint peeled off of a small section. We used these folks for decades, starting in 1980 with excellent results .... but ever since Dad retired .... gone down hill from there. This was not the first time we had problems with them either ... they had trouble with the stripe on our truck, so without letting us know ... the price increased to over $1000, the threashold for our insurance company to charge us with the accident ... so we had to pay three years of higher premiums ... it would have cost us less if we had paid for the stripe ourselves but we were never advised of the increase until it was too late to do anything. Not that we even needed that stripe on a 1989 truck anyway! Second mess up was the deal breaker, for us.

I'm writing this review to highlight the honesty and professionalism I experienced when requesting a quote on the work mentioned above. Bert had a look at the vehicle and suggested that we not invest in the job given the age, mileage, and his general experience with this make and model of vehicle. I found this honest assessment to be most refreshing and worthy of mentioning on this web site. So if you are in the North Hills and considering some body work on your car, I would certainly recommend getting an estimate from Kollinger Auto Body!

Excellent professionalism, on-time, thorough, and will update status of vehicle throughout the entire repair process. Volvo certified repair and paint provider with attention to detail. Done right to your expectations or will gladly make it right. Amazing service both times I have trusted Kollinger with my vehicle.

They were prompt in their assessment of the damage, straight-forward in their processes, and easy to deal with. Their quality of work is superb and they finished the job ahead of the agreed-upon schedule.

My wife's van is over 12 years old, and has some rust bubbles. I took it in to see what it would cost, and they were very honest in stating the repair would be more than the van was worth.

They do high quality work. Their service staff is exceptional. They keep you updated on where your car is in the process of getting it fixed.

I was hit on the rear passenger side of my car and took my car to Kollingers's based on people I talked to and this website. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the repair. The car looks better than it did before the accident. The color match of the paint is very well done and was a concern of mine since the car is over seven yrs old. Only issue was the time for the repair took ~7.5 weeks but the staff kept me in the loop in most cases. There was an issue in getting the paint to adhere which added considerable time to the repair. I would have rather received the quality of work I got back vs. a shoddy job in a shorter period.

After estimate, they said they would contact me when the parts were in. After 1 week, I contacted them and they reminded me that they would call me when my parts were in. It turns out, my parts were in--No apology for not contacting me. Then they were booked four weeks in advance. I felt that if they were booked so far in advance, they could have scheduled me at the time of the estimate to speed things up. Work was very good, but slow. My accident was in February, and I didn't get my car back until May.

Excellent and attentive service from start to finish. My car came back looking better than it did before the accident.

The quality of the workmanship was good. The time that they estimated it would take to finish was right on. The accident was somebody else's fault, so my insurance paid for it. They were courteous and helpful people.

THIS IS A COMPANY WHICH TAKES PRIDE IN THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK. THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY, AND THE WORK IS ALWAYS EXPLAINED CAREFULLY DURING THE ESTIMATE AND UPON COMPLETION.

KOLLINGER AUTO BODY DID A GREAT JOB ON OUR REPAIRS. WE WOULD USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
