Don Farr Moving and Storage

A good experience. The estimator was accurate and the move was exactly as expected. The moving crew arrived on time, they were careful and quick and finished the job in the estimated time, They were careful with my belongings. Even though this was a short move, they were very good!

Damaged EVERY PIECE of my furniture and walls....does not return phone calls or emails.....and one piece went missing..Do yourself a favor and choose another company.

This was the smoothest and best move Ever!! Will, Baby and Marco really are best!! I ve seen not so great reviews on line about Don Farr but I would like express my gratitude to them for the outstanding customer service I received. Showed up earlier and got it done like it was nothing!! I would never use another company for move! I feel blessed to have used their services!! THANK YOU DON FARR!!

The Booking Agent described the packing, the truck, the insurance and obtained the date for our move. A truck arrived 4 hours late. No call to inform us. The truck had a different name than Don Farr. The crew of four had no ID and were dressed in sweat pants or ragged jeans. $6,000 damage to our hardwood .furniture. The 3 movers were very young, untrained by observation and interview of one. dolly is now missing. No inventory done. Claims Department has not responded for over one month. No verbal or telephone communication allowed to try to resolve.

Don Farr moving was the absolute worst service i have ever experienced. Not only were the movers completely inefficient, they managed to damage every piece of wooden furniture i own. they left things shrink wrapped, furniture was not placed where it was supposed to be, half of the furniture was not put together, there were items left outside and not discovered until the next day, they left garbage in our home, they did not put items in the proper rooms even though the boxes were all labelled and color coded, they damaged our home in multiple places, they took privileges with items already placed in the home and moved them on top of clean laundry and breakable items, it took them 3 hours to remove a washer/dryer/and upright freezer from our basement, i still cannot find 2 shelves for my book cases, not a one of them was able to explain the contracts that needed signing, they moved things they were specifically told not to move, they paid no attention to whether items needed to remain in an upright position (boxes were found upside down and sideways), they dropped things and banged things around (piano included) they also did not bring the mattress covers, nor did they wrap the furniture appropriately (and it should have stayed wrapped until it was carried to the appropriate room/position. The best part is it took 13 hours for them to destroy everything, past the estimated 10 hours of planned destruction. We have moved before with items placed where they were to go, and ready for living, within 8 hours. After 13 hours, my husband and i had to take furniture apart to move it to where it needed to go so that we could even get to our bed; which was also put practically in the middle of the room. Now i have to plea with them to get a refund for their ineptitude. I also had to take an extra day off of work to fix their mess.

3 men were lighthearted and friendly & seemed to work well with each other. The were professional and took care moving my belongings

I have used Don Farr several times for local and long-distance moves. They recently moved my sister from a large house to a two bedroom apartment, very professional and easy move.

This is the second time they have taken a partial load to Florida for us. The flexibility of their schedule accommodate ours was a deal sealer for us. Nicest people to work with...starting with the front-line office staff. Nell Hartley Sewickley and Winter Park, Fl.

The crew was really mean to each other. One guy kept crying out in pain. They were OK with me, but I could not wait for it to be over.

Our experience with Don Farr was beyond awful. While packing our items, one guy dropped my husbands award from work and told us that we could probably super glue it. Then the movers took our brand new cabinet shoe bins and turned them upside down and slid them across the truck. The guys were to re-pack some items from our storage unit and as I was watching them load the truck they were about to put a busted up box in the truck. I mentioned to them that it needed repacked and they told me that it had a lid! I simply stated that they were my dishes and needed repacked! They weren't too happy. We moved over 1300 miles away and paid over $12,000 to have the moving truck arrive a day later then we were told, with a lot of our items busted and multiple things missing. We purchased the insurance, which is a scam in itself. We were missing our family's tent, my husbands dolly and his compressor only to be told that they can't replace the items because there was no notation of them missing upon delivery...like when you are getting all of your belongings off of a truck and putting them in each room that you are to remember every single item you have at that exact moment. They broke our wedding champagne glass, as stated they broke my husbands award, two of our children's bikes, our ping pong table, two brand new shoe bins came out busted, they broke our cordless phone by throwing it into a box. For every single item that Don Farr damaged/busted there response was, no notation was made by you at the time of delivery in order to substantiate the damage. That is complete LIE! Your worker broke my husbands award and told us to super glue it. YOUR delivery guy brought out our busted ping pong table, two broken shoe bins (that SHOULD HAVE been wrapped up like the rest of our furniture!), our baby gate that no longer opened or closed, etc. That is a lie that there was no notation when he told us he would write that in his paper work. I sent you photos of the damage and WE CALLED the day of delivery to tell you about the broken items. You are a scam, you are thieves, you do not deserve to be in business. Stay away from this company. You will be sorry that you used them.

They just made my life and move so much easier. All of the movers were nice and never skipped a beat.

I'm all for Senior citizens working, but not in Jobs where they are required to lift heavy furniture. Nothing against the two gentlemen that moved us, but I believe they were not fit for the Job.

The 6 young men that came to our home worked very hard. However, they did not come across as being very well trained despite their great effort. We had items dropped, scratched, and dented. Despite trying to knock our price down by moving all boxes and bins by ourselves....plus 98% of our basement, the entire contents of our backyard shed and our yard and porch furniture...the final price was only $200 less than the original estimate. We did have many steps in our home and we give ample credit to these young men for their hard work but overall we were disappointed in both the outcome and value for the money. Someone made a good deal of money from our local move but we don't think much went to these workers. Management needs to step it up. We would not recommend this service to others.

What a nightmare! There wasn't enough guys, they damaged new hardwood floors and furniture and lost boxes and bed hardware. They broke crystal and dishes in boxes that were labelled "Fragile". They put a large hole in the drywall of our old house and we had to compensate the buyers $350. They got their truck stuck in our driveway for 2 days. We spent nearly $5000 on this move (not including all the damages and lost boxes) and never received an apology or any compensation. DO NOT hire Don Farr Moving and Storage.
