We were completely happy with the work done on our house by Green Stone Energy. From the first visit, which constituted a detailed review of what was needed, as well as cost estimates for each specific task. Dutch was very thorough and professional, noticing things that both of our audits had missed. At the same time, he gave us practical advice for prioritizing the tasks, so we were able to choose those that fit our budget and that would make the most difference in our energy consumption. Following our signing of the detailed contract for insulating the third floor, sealing the basement from air leaks, and weather-stripping the exterior doors, The work was scheduled expeditiously. The gentlemen who performed the work were professional. They protected the house from dirt and debris, worked diligently to get the job done, and cleaned up after the work was completed. Costs were very reasonable compared with the other bids we had received. We would highly recommend Green Stone Energy to anyone wanting to reduce their energy consumption.

Greenstone implemented recommendations resulting from a PECO energy audit. They are one of PECO's approved contractors. We interviewed others but they were the best choice because, unlike others, they did not pressure us to do to much and they made economical suggestions for low-cost energy saving that PECO had not made. |They performed the work in a fashion that was better than we expected. They showed up when promised and professionally did the work. |We would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

I found Green Stone Energy through the Pennsylvania EnergyWorks program after getting an energy audit and bidding out to multiple contractors for the recommended work. Green Stone immediately stood out from the pack with their responsiveness, professionalism, and attention to detail. I spoke with Dutch several times leading up to signing the contract. He was able to break out each line item of work separately with extremely detailed explanations of what exactly would be done for each, how it would be done, and how much it would cost. This allowed me to pick and choose which items to get done based on our spending priorities and our budget, with no sales pressure whatsoever. Dutch was always available to answer my questions (which were many!) very timely and thoroughly. While some of the work was done by Dutch and his team and others were sub-contracted out, there was a consistent high level of quality to each job. Dutch was there personally to oversee work being performed and made sure that any minor issues were resolved quickly and at no extra charge. Dutch and his team were extremely flexible throughout the process, coming back multiple times for touch ups and revising the scope of work all while complying with the requirements of the EnergyWorks program. I would definitely recommend Green Stone Energy for any home improvement/energy efficiency work. Dutch and his team are true professionals with a refreshingly strong focus on customer satisfaction. We are extremely happy with all the work that was performed and have already been enjoying the benefits of a lower electric bill each month!

It went OK. There is a lot of work to get all of your things out of their way in the basement. It probably took me time to more everything away from the walls then for them to shoot the spray foam along the joists. Prior to arriving to do the work the sales person informed me on the process of getting the insulation in the attic, which involved cutting small round wholes in the ceiling -- then blowing insulation in the attic, since you can't a human into the attic. Unfortunately, they did not cut small holes they made one big hole in the ceiling. That was unexpected. I guess you have to have someone in the house to manage those things. Unfortunately, I had to go to work to pay for the project. There was a great deal of dust, but they did prepare me for that and I cover everything as best I could. Hopefully this will address the draft in the old house. My only piece of advise is you need to factor in the cost of having the small or large holes they make is the ceiling fixed, which has driven up the cost of the project.

We could not be more happy with Green Stone Energy's performance from beginning to end. As soon as we received the referral from our neighbors we contacted Green Stone Energy and the owner Dutch got right back to us to set up an appointment. In the meantime my husband researched Green Stone Energy through the Better Business Bureau and found that they were highly rated so that gave us more comfort that aside from a great referral we were getting a ligament company. My husband and I both have very crazy work schedules and two small children and he was amazing at working around the times we had available for him to come out and give us a free estimate. We knew of a couple problem areas in our home that we wanted him to look at in the attic and around some windows and doors but Dutch took the time to walk through the whole house with us and educate us on what we thought we needed and didn't actually need and showed us other areas of concern that we had completely missed such as the fact that our bathroom fans were just venting into the insulation in our attic and the duct work of our heating system had been duct taped together. We thought we were going to need way more insulation removed from our attic from a roof leak we had and he assured us that it was only a few baffles that had to be taken out and replaced. He easily could have taken advantage of us and scared us with the potential of mold and mildew and we seriously wouldn't have known any better and would have done whatever he told us to do. Especially since we have small children in the house. After the initial walk through Dutch went on his way and we thought we would have to follow up with him but nope, within 2 business days, maybe less, we got a detailed estimate through email from him outling everything we spoke of with very reasonable pricing. The estimate was so detailed it even talked about what they were going to do before starting the work such as laying tarps, covering furniture down to how they would clean up after the work was completed. I found this very impressive because we have had several contractors do work on our home and the estimate we have always received has been one page with a sentence describing the work and then the price. As soon as my husband and I agreed upon the work to be completed, which was all of it, we signed the estimate and sent it right back over. Dutch was able to get us on the schedule on the days that were convenient for us and even was able to start the job an hour later then he normally would so I could get my daughter to school and be back in time to let them in. The job it self only took two days and the head foremen Jeff was very polite and respectful and did a great job! We were compltely satisfied with all the work that was completed and the way that they respected our house and left it in the same condition it was in before they arrived. And insulation if you don't know can be extremely messy and you would have never known they were here. When it came to payment my husband and I decided to pay by check the last day of the job but it was great to know that if we had needed to Green Stone Energy has financing options and accepts credit cards. We have already seen a reduction in our electric bill, way more then I anticipated too. It's amazing the energy loss you have when you don't even realize it. If it wasn't for our leaky roof I wouldn't have ever found Green Stone Energy but I'm so glad I did. They did a great job!

First, let me say that Meghan at Greenstone was nothing short of phenominal to work with. I set up this project through the Keystone Help/Energyworks Program. Part of this project included the work Greenstone did, and along with that work, I also had my heater replaced by another company, Boyertown Oil. Meghan actually called me while she was on vacation and gave me an overview of the entire process and how things would go with both the loan company, and with the project itself. She let me know what I could expect from whom in regards to paperwork, phone calls, etc. She was very punctual and informative throughout the entire process, and was very thorough in her explanations of any questions I had along the way. That said, Greenstone did an excellent job. I've witnessed several projects performed by contractors in my lifetime on both my home and on my parents home, and I've learned that you don't always get what you pay for. As such, I've basically taken the stance that I evaluate any work a contractor does, and compare it to the kind of work I would do if I were knowledgeable/capable of doing it myself. Because I'm a perfectionist, my standards, naturally, are very high. Greenstone did not dissapoint in that regard. When I first met with Dutch, we went through my entire house, and he pointed out things that could be done to help reduce my energy costs. He not only pointed out several improvements that could be made by his company, but also pointed out things I could do on my own accord (meaning he could have added those services in to his scope of work, but instead, let me know I could do it myself for a significantly lower cost). He took the time to explain why he was pointing them out, and what the end result of "resolving" anything he pointed out would be. I was very impressed by his professionalism, and gained a sense of him looking at my house as if it were his own, and as if it were his own money he'd be spending. That, I can say from experience, isn't something you find everyday. Dutch wrote up the estimate and gave me a final dollar amount, down to the penny. He told me when they would arrive to do the work, what they would do, how they would do it, and when they would be finished up. The day the work started - about an hour after the team frmo Greenstone arrived, Dutch came by to make sure things were going well, that his team hadn't run into any unforseen problems, and to double check if I had any questions or concerns. He did the same thing on the second day. Once his team was finished the job, they took the time to clean everything up and left my home exactly as it was before they arrived. I know this review may be a bit hard to believe, and it may come off as if I'm saying Greenstone is the best contractor ever. I can't say that with 100% certianty, though, simply because I haven't worked with all of the contractors in the home improvement business. However, I can say that they are the best I've worked with by far when it comes to their professionalism. After all was said and done, I didn't have the feeling that I was just taken for a ride. I didn't, and still don't, have buyers remorse. To use an analogy, I don't feel like I took my car to the mechanic for a check engine light only to be told the turn signal fluid needed replaced. Anyone with a bit of automotive knowledge knows there is no such thing as turn signal fluid. I wil ldo business with Greenstone again, once the loan for this project is paid off. The next project I will be working with Greenstone on will be replacing the windows in my house.

GreenStone is the best contractor I have ever work with. Dutch and his crew were very professional, easy to work with and took the time to go over what was listed on the audit, and together decide what the best way to get the job done. Very financially fiscal ( so your not just throwing money at something you really don't need). Any concerns that I had were addressed right away. BIG KUDDOS goes to Meghan who is Dutch's right-hand person. She was always very pleasant, accessible by emal or cell, even after hours. Just a pleasure to work with.
