Description of Work: Job started late January, 2014. I was not informed or made aware of how much dust to expect (knew it would be, but not to the extent it was). Took 1 week to work and left. Muddy hand prints on walls and outside on siding, hole in carpeting in middle of room, job not complete. They were to move water heater to install WaterGuard behind water heater. They did not remove water heater, hacked the carpeting around water heater, and left gaping hole behind water heater. Started calling to find out when going to complete, and fix carpeting. Told service manager problems, he denied work behind water heater wasn't complete, and finally told me harshly that they were not going to do anything about the carpeting. Tried for the next 2 months to get this resolved. Last heard from them was going to check schedule to fix behind water heater and would call. They never called. On July 10, 2015 the basement flooded from the hole behind the water heater. Called them re their warranty. They were too busy to come and look at it till 7/28/2015. Basement flooded 2 more times during that time. Called to explain needed them now. They couldn't do it. Carpeting ruined. They came on 7/28/2015 and said they were unprepared to fix hole, needed someone else to fix. They came back 8/5/2015. Their employee couldn't believe that it was in the condition it was. He said that the service manager had noted in their records that the hole behind the water heater had been fixed. He moved the water heater, completed the WaterGuard, and apologized for the carpeting being ripped to pieces. This was a terrible experience to go through to get my basement waterproofed. The system is doing the job now, but dealing with their service manager was exhausting and fruitless to say the least. They obviously don't want to take responsibility for their mistakes and/or make restitution for damages. Hindsight made me check with the BBB, and found their reputation was anything but stellar. I've learned my lesson.

Description of Work: Installed 3 wall anchors in basement wall to reinforce bowing. I was pleasantly surprised the yard was left in good shape. Could hardly see where they dug to install the braces. Also cleaned basement work area very well.

Description of Work: I was project managing for a client who had mold remediation in the basement and then we called Bakers to help fix the water issues.They were great. Even after he job was done..my client was not satisfied with he look of some minor things outside the house. They were prompt in returning to fix the issue to satisfaction. I would recommend this company to anyone with water issues inter basement.

Description of Work: They did a basement waterproofing project including waterproofing a crawl space and placing sump pumps in the crawl space and the basement. They also completed a French drain. My husband and I were satisfied with the work. However, we had had the work scheduled for June, and realized that we needed more extensive repairs. We could not get a return phone call from a Salesperson for over a week and ended up having to cancel our original appointment and delaying the job for over a month! Frustrating!!

 + -1 moreThe representative arrived in September for an estimate and was excellent. He looked at our walls, took some pictures, and evaluated the layout and structure of the house to see what would have to be done. He explained all of the options well, from the cheapest to the most expensive and even recommended the cheapest options for us since he didn't really think the more expensive options would be necessary for our situation. The work was scheduled for October since we had a finished basement and part of it would have to be "unfinished" for the work to be completed. The work took 2 days to complete. Two workers arrived for the job and were a little late both days. They listened to my concerns (mainly to watch a sewer line that ran right in the path of the trench they had to dig for the indoor French Drain). Throughout the job, they were careful to avoid damage to this line. The work requires jackhammering and is very dusty by nature. Fair warning was given for this with the estimate. Overall, the workers did the job as proposed and it was satisfactory. The main issue we had was with the BrightWall installation, which was a little sloppy, particularly the caulking along the WaterGuard. This was one of the last things they did and it was late in the day, so it seemed like they just wanted to hurry up and get done. I was a little disappointed that there was never any type of follow-up phone call or mailing to see if we were satisfied with the work.
Description of Work: Baker's installed WaterGuard (indoor French Drain) in basement and garage and installed BrightWall Vapor Barrier on the walls of the basement for a semi-finished look. They also installed a Sump Pump in the floor of the garage to pump out any incoming water.

 + -1 moreThey could have done a better job. They didn't do anything detailed oriented and they were not very clean. It was the typical Friday rush job. It didn't meet my expectations. -Updated: 11/02/09: They did the minimum amount of work. They used cheap supplies and I feel like I wasted my money.
Description of Work: I had a downspout problem and they came in to work on it. -Update 11/02/09: They put in a window well in for us as well.

 + -1 moreTHE WORKERS WERE ON TIME. THEY CLEANED UP WELL AFTER THEMSELVES. THE WORK WAS FAIR. I REQUESTED THAT THEY CONSIDER THAT WE WOULD BE DOING A RADON SYSTEM WHEN BIDDING ON THE JOB. WHEN THE RADON PEOPLE CAME, WE WERE TOLD THE WATERPROOFING JOB WAS COUNTERPRODUCTIVE TO THE RADON SYSTEM.
Description of Work: WE HAD INTERIOR FRENCH DRAINS DONE IN OUR BASEMENT.
