Bob showed up on the date scheduled- Called me at the office and stated that it was a computer chip problem and he doesn't have any parts for the machine. He suggested calling the original installer. He also said that he doesn't work or sell these type of machines. A subsequent call to the manufacture revealed that it wasn't the chip but some malfunctioning switches. My question to Bob was if you don?t know anything about the machines to begin with, why did you come to my house and charge me a service call of 100.00. Very disappointed in S&G. However, on Bobs behalf I must admit he was willing to sell me a new system for $1600.00

THIS CUSTOMER CALLED US AND HAD A 2 YEAR OLD SOFTENER. THE COMPANY THAT INSTALLED IN WAS NOT ABLE TO REPAIR IT AFTER 3 VISITS. THE CUSTOMER TOLD US THE WRONG NAME OF THE MANUFACTURER SO WE HAD NO IDEA WHAT EQUIPMENT HE HAD. I TOLD HIM THAT I DID NOT RECOGNIZE THE NAME AND WE MAY OR MAY NOT BE ABLE TO SERVICE IT, UNTIL WE KNOW WHAT IT IS. WHEN BOB CALLED TO SCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT, HE ALSO STATED THAT WE WOULD NOT KNOW IF WE COULD REPAIR THE UNIT OR NOT WITHOUT KNOWING THE MAKE OR MODEL. THIS WAS OK WITH THE CUSTOMER SINCE THE OTHER COMPANY COULD NOT FIX IT. THE CUSTOMER WANTED US TO COME OUT ANYWAY & SEE WHAT WE COULD DO TO HELP HIM. WHEN BOB WENT TO THE SITE, HE HAD NOT SEEN THAT MAKE OF UNIT BEFORE, & NO MANUAL WAS AVAILABLE TO IDENTIFY IT. HE RAN IT THROUGH OUR STANDARD DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES AND IDENTIFIED THAT IT WAS NOT REFILLING THE BRINE TANK AUTOMATICALLY BUT WOULD WORK MANUALLY. HE TOLD THE CUSTOMER THAT IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL OR ELECTRONIC PROBLEM AND SINCE IT WAS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD, HE SHOULD CALL THE MANUFACTURER AND SEE IF THE PARTS WOULD BE UNDER WARRANTY. HE SPENT OVER 1/2 HOUR TRYING TO HELP THE CUSTOMER & WHEN HE TOLD HIM WHAT HE FOUND, THE MAN SAID THAT WAS MUCH MORE INFORMATION THAN THE INSTALLING COMPANY COULD FIND OUT, THANKED HIM AND SAID TO LEAVE A BILL. BOB DID NOT RECOMMEND REPLACING THE UNIT, BUT NEW UNIT PRICES CAME UP IN CONVERSATION. WE PROVIDED FULL DISCLOSURE 2 TIMES PRIOR TO GOING TO THE HOME, THAT WE MAY OR MAY NOT BE ABLE TO SERVICE OR HAVE PARTS FOR THE UNIT. WE PROVIDED AN ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS OF THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THE MICRO SWITCH IS ELECTRICAL. WITHOUT OUR DIAGNOSIS, THE MANUFACTURER MAY NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO HELP THIS CUSTOMER. WE DID MUCH MORE THEN THE COMPANY THAT INSTALLED THE SYSTEM DID, ACCORDING TO THE CUSTOMER. AFTER ALL OF THIS, THE CUSTOMER MADE A NOTE ON HIS INVOICE THAT HE POSTED COMMENTS ON YOUR SITE. OUR COMPANY HAS BEEN IN THE WATER TREATMENT BUSINESS SINCE 1959 AND WE ALWAYS TRY TO BE FAIR AND HONEST WITH OUR CUSTOMERS. THE COMMENTS MADE BY THIS CUSTOMER ARE UNFAIR AND TOTALLY INACCURATE. I REQUEST THAT THE CUSTOMERS COMMENTS BE REMOVED FROM YOUR SITE SINCE THEY DO NOT FAIRLY REPRESENT THE WORK OF OUR COMPANY.
