Ben was the best consult by far. He was the only vendor who recommended lower an existing privacy fence that had been in place was was installed 1-2 feet off the ground in some areas. Others recommended we just place wire on the bottom portion. He also gave advice on the gate sizes and recommended we do two 3 foot gates vs one 4 foot gate, as with all the trees in the back we will probably need removal equipment in there at some point. Another fence company had sold us on the matte black. Ben let us know it was really hard to keep clean- great to know. He was prompt with returning calls and kept to his appointments. We made a lot of changes and he was understanding. Our install was done much more quickly that we expected, thanks to his product recommendation. He even did some temp fencing so the yard was secure for the dog before install. On day of install he was there with another employee and helped do the work. Highest price of all of our quotes, but we are very happy with the work and recommend him!

He did a great job. The removal was completed the day before the install of the new fence. He and one other worker did all the install from 7am-5pm in one day, and it looks amazing. Ben was really responsive throughout the whole process and took the time to answer questions and explain options. His price was also very competitive with other companies we got estimates from, and he offered much more personalized service than some of the larger fencing companies. Very happy with the work he did.

They initially came out for an estimate, and gave me a written estimate. They asked for a deposit up front, which was unusual in my experience. I agreed, and they did the job while I was at work. I wasn't at home for the repairs, and I'm not sure how long they were here to do the work. A month went by, and I noticed that a section of the fence they'd repaired was loose. I made two phone calls to have them come out and look at the section. They told me that their work was guaranteed for two years. I received a voicemail later, while I was at work. He told me that there was a post that was rotted, and drew up another estimate for $300. He also told me that this would be considered a service call and that I needed to pay for this with a credit card. I feel that he should have told me about the rotted post during the first time he came out to make the repairs. I do not feel that I should have to pay for the service call, as I was not given any communication or warning that he was going to come out, and I wasn't given the choice to have him come out.

From our first contact, Ben was a pleasure to work with. We set up a consultation shortly after I contacted him, and he was thorough and explained everything to my husband and I, and based on our needs, he recommended repairing our fence by replacing the panels in between the posts, rather than tearing everything down and putting up a new fence. He came out a few weeks later to replace our fence, which was done quickly and efficiently. We were very satisfied with the work, and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to have their fence replaced, repaired, or any combination thereof.

I had originally hired Ben to move a small section of my fence so I could move my shed. Ben was the only contractor I could find that would do a small job. He did a great job removing and reinstalling the fence. The job I did with my shed was not great. Basically, I needed someone to fix my mess-up. This was last fall. Ben looked it over and assured me the pad for the shed would be fine through the winter, and was hassle-free about calling him in the spring to fix the base. I called Ben in the spring. He was very straight forward about the price, the work, and scheduling. I will hire Backyard Medic the next time I need work done, and highly recommend the company.

Ben did a wonderful job installing a gate on our fence. He came out soon after being called, and completed the work quickly, despite it being so cold out. He made sure everything was up to code (because we have a pool, there were certain requirements regarding the gate). He even gave us a discount when he heard we were installing the gate to give a disabled family member better access into the house. It was a tough job, as Ben had to drill through concrete in order to place the posts, then fill the holes. It was so cold the hose line was frozen, so they had to come in the house for water to mix the cement. The young man working with him was so courteous, he would never enter without knocking, and was very careful to keep the house clean as he went back and forth for water. We will definitely be calling Backyard Medic for any future fencing needs!

I could not say enough about Ben and Backyard Medic for the entire process. I sent a message on Friday 3/4/2016, got a response the same day and spoke with Ben that night. He set up an estimate for the next day 3/5/2016. He arrived promptly, listened to my issues and genuinely seemed to care about my concerns. He gave me 2 options (replace or repair). He was honest with his thoughts and I chose to repair. I gave him a deposit and he said he would be our the following week. He called me and left a message on 3/7/2016 that he would be out the next day. He arrived promptly on 3/8/2016, explained what he was going to do and how long it was going to take. I went back to work inside and went out to see how he was doing a short while later and he was finishing up. There were no over charges and he did exactly what he said he would do. I could not be happier with his professionalism, punctuality and workmanship. I would DEFINITELY use Barkyard Medic again!!

Contractor drove a long way for free estimate, listened to envisioned simple fence, gave comprehensive estimate same-day. After consulting another contractor (who didn't listen and gave higher estimate for fence we didn't want), we chose Backyard Medic. Work was completed on-time, on-budget. An issue with an unexpected rocky section was explained and professionally mitigated. When I returned home from work on the second day, I found that my backyard was fenced with EXACTLY the fence that I had envisioned. Couldn't be happier.

Ben's job was perfect. He handles the scheduling himself, so you tend to get his voicemail, but he always calls back in a timely manner. I needed to move a shed on my property and the fence was in the way. I only needed about 20 feet of the fence removed so I could move the shed, then have the fence re-installed. No fence company wanted to do it because it was a small job. Ben took down part of the fence, put up a temporary fence (for the dog) and later re-installed the old fence. He did a great job with no damage. You would never know part of the fence was re-installed. Plus he didn't mind me hanging around to talk. I will definitely use Backyard Medic again.

I called Ben at the Backyard Medic a week ago (10/29/15) and left a voicemail. He returned my call within the afternoon and we scheduled a meeting for Saturday (10/31/15). Ben was right on time and super nice, helpful, and said he could be done the job by Friday (11/6/15). While appalled at the work of my previous contractor, Ben was willing to take over the job and finish it. He just finished a day early (about two hours ago on 11/5/15) and his work looks amazing. My fence looks stunning thanks to his careful, experienced work. His work is 100% professional. My backyard now looks infinitely better and both my wife and I are utterly overjoyed with his work. Ben/Backyard Medic was prompt, fair, and everything he promised he delivered on 10-fold. Everything was smooth and easy. Honestly and truly, I could not give the Backyard Medic a more enthusiastic and more positive review. If you are looking for a contractor to help with your yard, look no further than Ben and the Backyard Medic.

Everything went great. Ben came over on a Saturday morning to take a look at my yard. He listened to my ideas, we discussed the possibilities, and he was able to come up with an estimate within a few minutes. He was able to do the work within two weeks of receiving my signed agreement and check, as he'd said at the time of the estimate. He and his helper were able to do all the work in less than a day and a half. I couldn't be happier with the fence, and I'd recommend him to anyone.

Backyard Medic called ahead, as requested. He provided all materials for the job. He arrived early and prepared, and worked quickly to make sure I could make another appointment I had scheduled for that morning. All work done was excellent. The sites were left clean. The services were expensive, probably due to the fact that he had about an hour of travel time each way. In my experience, you get the quality of work that you pay for. Do not expect a "bargain" price from this provider. If you want high quality, dependable work done right the first time, this service provider is for you.

The owner, Ben Witlin, immediately responded to my initial phone call and scheduled an appointment for an estimate. He did this on a Saturday at my convenience. He arrived timely and spent time answering all of my questions and provided information and very thorough quotes for the work. When the work began, Mr. Witlin was on site at the time promised. At the end of each day, he called me with a progress report. He was on site and on time every day of the 3 day job. The work was completed in the estimated time. The fence looked beautiful and was level all the way around a very uneven yard. All debris was removed. Mr. Witlin was a pleasure to work with and his work was excellent. I had received quotes from other companies and his was right in the middle. I would highly recommend Backyard Medic.

He came on time and travelled about 40 miles. He did everything in approximately 3 hours. He was very neat and methodical and I was very pleased with his work. We are senior citizens and it is hard to find someonet to do simple minor chores. I am very satisfied.

He returns phone messages in a timely manner and sets an appointment to come out within the week. He calls before arriving and is pleasant to deal. He is always helpful. I had a heavy metal chair up against the fence gate prior to his coming so the fence could not open. He offered to move it for me in the middle of a snow storm when his work was done. He does a quality job at a very reasonable price. I only wish there were more like him for my other home repairs.
