They were responsive. They were here when they said they were going to be here, and they were on budget. I wasn't here when they did the work itself. The work has held up as expected; it looks great. I would recommend them.

Joe is the son, and Stewart is the father. When Joe was here, he quoted me $300. Then, it went to $400. That's the only problem I had. At that point, I just told them to get it done. It was a tough day, and he did it by hand. He did a good job. It didn't coalesce properly, so he redid half of the driveway again with no additional charge. He was very prompt. Everything was fine except for the mistake in the first quote.

I contact J Scott Paving and George Scott was able to come out the next day, survey the job, and provide an estimate. We agreed on the work and George and his crew came out about four weeks later. The crew arrived on time and ready was go. We left for work and when I returned, everything was cleaned up. You couldn't tell anyone had large equipment on the street. The place was spotless and the driveway was beautiful. They even removed a free standing basketball hoop that had been on the driveway since we moved in in 2001. I am extremely pleased with George and his team and would recommend him enthusiastically to anyone needed this type of work. He was professional and easy to work with. He followed up that night to see if we were pleased with the work.

We agreed to go with them, but they haven?t got back to us and it has been four weeks. His quote was a little higher, but he was going to use a thicker sub grade and fill. He broke down his estimate. He seemed attentive to details and pretty professional. He did get back to us. We liked the detail of his estimate and he seemed to be very assuring. He seemed organized.

I contacted J. Scott via the Angie's List portal to request an estimate. Within 48 hours, George Scott called me to set up the estimate and came out the same day. Since nobody was home, he left the estimate in the mailbox for our review. George was very professional and prompt, but we elected to go with another provider on Angie's List based on good reviews and a more competitive price.

It was difficult to reach estimator by telephone to schedule service. One aspect of service, edging driveway prior to applying seal coat was never performed in spite of the fact that it was discussed and promised during estimate. The actual quality of the job was satisfactory -- however, it was not flawless.

They provided a prompt and detailed quote and performed the work when promised and professionally. Everything was left clean and neat. He even came back the next day to verify that we were happy and to ask if we had any further questions. Excellent!!

It was an excellent experience from start to finish. George is responsive, delivered the estimate when promised, did the work in a high quality manner when promised and responded to questions after completion responsively.

Project went well from start to finish. The foreman was very nice and would stop what he was doing to come talk to me to address any questions or concerns whenever I came out. The finished product was beautiful. What a difference from the old drive!

This was a good job. John came out to estimate and gave a price that was right in the middle, and he walked the site explaining how he planned to pave and where he had to dig out the old blacktop (a little) and where he'd pave over the old asphalt--which was most of the job. He helped me think through how the edge should be finished and saved me some $$ here, although I had to work with my gardener to work out low-cost driveway edging method. The concrete contractor was in and out in a day, as was the competent asphalt crew.

Our call for an estimate was returned promptly and John stopped by to give an estimate at the time he had told us he would. He was comprehensive and detail oriented in describing the work he would perform, and explained the material he would be using in sealing and patching the driveway (oil-based as opposed to water-based sealant). His price was not the lowest, but very reasonable. We also asked him of an estimate to reseal the chimney joints and vents on our roof, as he also does some roofing. This was a small job, but this was not an issue. After we told him that would like him to do the job he came on the day and time he specified and did the job thoroughly and very professionally. Our driveway looks much better than the last time we got it sealed. He ended-up having to patch some of the cracks with asphalt instead of a standard filler, but did not charge more for this since he had given us an estimate that did not account for this. Overall a very smooth process with quality work having been done. Would definitely use him again and would certainly recommend him to others.
