Our story almost perfectly mirrors the report from December 9, 2008 - Eric came to the house, mis-estimated the time, size and cost of the job, was serviced by the same crew (Jeff, Arliss and Larry) and basically the same result, with a bonus damaged china cabinet that no-one on the crew pointed out and was discovered after the fact. We fed the crew lunch and gave a generous tip on top of it. To his credit, Eric sent out another crew the following day to finish the move but only agreed to "split the difference" cost-wise, which leaves us with a two car garage filled with items which should be in the house. Other problems included playing creative-mover accounting with the billing (everything rounds up in their world) and not hooking up the icemaker or reinstalling the freezer drawer properly. The mis-estimate can be chalked up to lack of experience or trying to run too tight of a shop, that's almost excuseable and Eric did make partial amends. The concealed damage to the china cabinet is flat-out dishonesty - there is no way someone from the team could not have seen this damage while unwrapping the cabinet and reassembling it. For me that is the far greater offense, and should give potential customers pause. Allegedly this is being worked on via a local furniture repair service, but the damage has already been done (to a $3000+ cabinet). I was referred to this company by both extended family and a trusted friend. Didn't use my Angieslist account, which had expired in October. What a mistake.

It was not a good experience, partially because I had the flu but also because the lead mover was just an unhappy and rather belligerent person. I felt as if I were putting them out to move me, and I was demanding. Since i hadn't moved in years and years, I was unsure of procedure and asked several questions and was unprepared with some wrapping (mirrors, etc). I was treated as if I were an idiot and as if everyone should know the answers. Yet I don't move everyday. In the end, I had to ask friends to help me move out stuff that was left behind in the basement, the garages and the attic. I don't know why it was left behind, it just was.

Eric got back to me punctually with an estimate and Chris and Larry arrived at the appointed time and were very careful wih my possessions. I was very pleased with their professionalism and service and would recommend them highly.

The owner of the company, Eric, came to our house to do the walk through and estimate. He was a little concerned about fitting all of our belongings into one truck and recommended that we move all of our art and what boxes we could on our own, in advance of the move. We moved over our entire kitchen, all of our art, and all the boxes from the dining room and living room. On the day of the move, the crew (Jeff, Arlis and Larry) arrived an hour late and the lead, Jeff, was arrogant and disrespectful from the start. They audibly complained about the job from the beginning to end and did not complete the job. The moving truck was not full when it pulled away from our Phoenxiville house; we had to return the following day with a 14' truck to complete the job ourselves. No boxes were removed from our attic, mattresses were moved, but no bed frames. Large items, including the treadmill and refrigerator, were moved to the new house, but left in the garage for us to carry in to the house. The move ran $350 over the original quote, took more than 12 hours and was left incomplete. Jeff offered to return the next day to complete the job, needless to say, we preferred to complete the work ourselves than spend more time with this group of men.

They were straight forward and honest. They even told us what they didn't want to be responsible for packing and moving. The price that was quoted was reasonable. We will be using them in the future.

This is the second time we've used Eric's and we have recommended them to friends and family who have used them. They are reasonably priced, professional, show up on time. This time they finished earlier than expected and our final cost was lower. The best thing is that nothing is ever a problem. Unexpected additions to the move? No problem. Need an appliance or piece of furniture moved to an outbuilding or a neighbor's house? No problem. Raining? No problem. We have had extremely skilled, friendly, pleasant and helpful folks from Eric's each time we've used them. Eric himself is accommodating and responsive. I hate to move, but I know that if I call Eric's, the movers, at least, are one thing I don't have to worry about. On my most recent move, I needed to postpone the date for personal reasons and they were able to re-schedule me immediately for the weekend I wanted. The first time we used them, we had things that hadn't yet been packed and one of the crew willingly helped us tape boxes while the truck was being loaded. Both times we were able to schedule the move easily, even on short notice. This is an extremely easy company to work with on all fronts. As long as they're around, I'll never need to call anyone else.

They were punctual, professional, and able to do the whole job over the span of 2 days. Their cost estimate was very close to what was finally paid.

It was a good job!

When I met the trucks in Baltimore the leader seemed a little tightly wound, but was eager to get started. We had to work out a last minute charge due to the elevator that I had failed to mention in the estimate. Again I felt the leader was a little edgy, almost like he was too eager for me to be a difficult customer that was ready to confront him. I agreed to the extra charge of $600 and I stayed most of the day with them while they unloaded. Again, the leader insisted that my belongings would not fit in the two storage units I had reserved and that I should make alternate arrangements to have two large units. Again I abided with this seemingly reasonable request once I checked volume of his trucks against that of the large storage unit. Around three pm (we started at 9am) I had to go back to work so I tipped the six guys and left with instructions to lock up. I have just been to the storage and I must say that it would have been much easier to break apart cheap "Bed Bath and Beyond" book shelving units so that the last remaining articles did not look like they were thrown into place before slamming the storage room door. Additionally the boxes with books were placed on the top of softer boxes. Some items where laying on their sides, upside down and all my garment boxes had to be replaced because other items where placed on top of them, rendering them useless. Once again, the owner of a business cares while those working for him do not share the same level of professionalism.

The owner, Eric, came and gave us an estimate. He was very professional and made it clear what to expect (such as, the hourly rate includes travel time and lunch break). They fit us into their schedule with relatively short notice. On the actual move date, the movers were more than an hour late, having gotten lost on the way. Everything went smoothly after that. They were very careful with the furniture. They took breaks, but they were reasonable breaks, especially during a hot summer day. The move took an hour longer than expected, so the cost was higher than the original estimate, but still very reasonable. Considering the horror stories I hear from acquaintances about other moving companies, this was a good experience. I have recommended this company to others.

From start to finish, they were a pleasure to work with. They arrived on time, and the movers did an excellent job. They took care to wipe their feet, and were very careful of our walls when moving the furniture. The job was completed quickly. At the other end, my friend commented about the nice job they did, and how they made sure She was happy with the placement of the furniture before they left. The cost includes a three hour minimum and charge for gas. Does not include additional insurance which I elected not to buy.

The two-man team showed up on time, were prompt, courteous, and careful with the furniture and also very game about putting together the crib for which there were no directions. It was a great experience. I would definitely use them again.
