They were very nice to work with and they had a high quality of work. We did, however, run into some problems with scheduling and coordinating with other contractors and completing the project on time.

In August 2007, we hired the Leghart Brothers to refinish our hardwood floors. We knew this would be a difficult job. Our house was built in the '40s, and the previous owners had laminate tiles that covered the hardwood floors instead of carpeting. The tiles seemed to be cemented to the hardwood with some sort of tar. When my parents bought the house in the '60s, they covered the floors with carpeting, because they couldn't get the tile up. In August of 2007, we decided to see if we could have the tile removed, and the hardwood floors refinished. We called several companies to ask for an estimate. When we called for the estimates, we explained about the tile, and all of the other companies informed us that they could not handle the tile removal. When we contacted the Leghart Brothers, they said they could handle the removal, and came to the house to provide an estimate. They provided a very reasonable estimate. I thought that they did not fully understand how difficult I thought the job would be, because since the floors were covered with carpet at the time of the estimate, the actual tile was not visible. The Leghart Brothers started the job at the beginning of October 2007. What was expected to take a week to complete turned to 3 weeks due to the difficulty of the tile removal. However, I appreciated their efforts to remove the tile. I think that the removal of the tile took about 1 week to complete. (I think, in the beginning, they had their doubts about being able to get the tile up. But, we wanted them to try. If they found that it wasn't feasible, we needed new carpeting anyway, and we would just recover with new carpeting.) They had to rent a special machine to actually take up the tile. Once removed, they proceeded in repairing/replacing sections where the wood was damaged. They sanded and refinished the hardwood, applying 2 coats of finishing. After all of their hard work, we had BEAUTIFUL hardwood floors. The actual cost was a little higher than the estimate, however, I had thought that the price would increase some due to the tile removal. The increase was not that much, and it was worth it.

They were very good. They came when they said they would. If there was a delay they would call ahead of time. They did the job in a short period of time and told us how to let the finish set. They gave good instructions. They cleaned up and they were good.

They promptly gave me a detailed and fairly competitive estimate. I have decided to go with another contractor that I liked just as well, and who had a lower estimate.

They were very fast and did good work. They kept their appointments and always came when they said they would. They were very reasonable and professional. The floors look great.

They were very responsive and gave us an estimate immediately. All of the other contractors that we had look at the floor did not call us back or give us an estimate after meeting with us. We scheduled to have the work done while we were away on vacation so it was not disruptive at all. There turned out to be a bit more work involved that was anticipated so the final price came out to be slightly higher than the initial estimate but the cost was still completely reasonable for the quality of work performed. The floors look great and are a perfect match to the stain on the rest of the hardwood in the house.

Exceptional job overall. They went beyond normal customer service and treated our house with great care and even offered to help move furniture back after the floor dried. The job was done as promised and the floors turned out great. This was all done on short notice. We could not be more pleased with the professional and courteous service.

They were the only company able to do the work in my time frame (month of May) prior to my moving into the house. Prompt and very reasonable estimate--- the most expensive part were the stair risers of course. Other companies couldn't even come out to give me an estimate for weeks. They completed the work over several days-- two for sanding, three for finishing (I left the floors natural, so staining wasn't required). The work went well-- I wasn't able to be home all the time, so I gave them the garage code, and they let themselves in and out without problems-- calling me to let me know when they'd be there. The work quality was pretty good-- they got all the areas around corners and molding with the edger, and cleaned up any scratches and gouges in the floors. I had no choice of finishing material (other than natural vs stain), and probably would have used a different brand-- but it looks great. The application of the finish was uneven on the stairs-- a drip here and there.

They did a terrific job and exceeded all of our expectations. The work was completed quickly and with very little dust. All of the work was done by Eric and his brother. To help with choosing a stain color, they applied samples to our two wood types, so we could see how it would look. I would highly recommend them to anyone, looking to have wood floors refinished.

Wonderful! As part of a flood restoration project, a new hardwood floor was installed in my dining room, ceramic tile floor installed in kitchen and other hardwood floors were repaired. The workers were punctual, professional,and friendly and the workmanship was excellent! From start to finish this job went well. Ceramic tile was laid out twice so I could decide which pattern I preferred. I was thrilled with all aspects of their work.

Great; they were actually covering the job for another company (subcontracted). But, I would call upon these guys again without hesitation. They were very good about following up with me, communicating on the progress of the job, etc. They worked one day for over 12 hours so the job would not go longer than anticipated. I did not ask them to put in that long day, they did it without being asked! They even helped my next door neighbor carry her groceries the extra 25 yards to her home! I felt comfortable having them in my home while I was not there, trusting them with a key, etc.
