The customer service is lovely and I'm confident on their technical capabilities, but the rate just doesn' t add up. $1,850 for a 2 hour installation of a $375 water heater is simply unreasonable. It' s a free country and I wouldn't be bothered that the ask for what they ask, if not for the fact that they wouldn't give me a quote or price range before coming out. It leads me to presume that they know that people don' t want to waste another day without hot water, and that's kind of preying on people' s situation, and that's not cool. I know, they are not the only ones, lots of people work that way. They seem to have preestablished package prices for the jobs and could have easily told me that, or, at least, a range. We would have avoided the wasted time and the $29 service fee. After the technician left (nice guy, by the way), I ran to Home Depot, called their installation services and, after 5 questions I had a quote and a same-day appointment with an installation package of $850. I know that HD beats down their contractors, and I donâ t like that, thatâ s why I tried them first. I get it that they have 40 years of experience. I just canâ t justify $1,000 gap. A Water Heater replacement is really not rocket surgery and worth a labor rate of $700/h. All I mean by this review is that I wish they were upfront with the pricing because these are not market rates.

I hired Marshall Services to install a new shower door in a rental. After being told what type of shower doors to buy, and the place to buy them, it appeared that the day of the install, it would not fit well and 2 small tiles needed to be replaced. I provided the tiles but they asked for an extra $275 for the tiles arguing that they were losing money on the job and that was the price. Now, with the old shower doors dismantled, and the tenants waiting for the new shower doors to be installed, what could I say? The doors are not even leveled right. Nice people to deal with, but not trustworthy and definitively will try to take advantage of you, in the nicest, most polite fashion. Stay away!

Our hot water heater unexpectedly went - and they immediately responded to our call and replaced our water heater the next day. Very courteous, professional and reasonably priced. Our service provider (Josh) was knowledgeable and took the time to answer all our questions. We were very happy with their service!

They were great with customer service but never on time and very expensive.

My well pump failed unexpectedly. Marshall's sent someone to review the situation the same day. They provided me with option and the pros/cons of each option. They were back the very next day to install everything. A couple of weeks later, I had a question, they had a tech call me back to answer my questions promptly. Great service. John has proven himself to be a great problem solver. The phone staff are polite, upbeat and helpful - exactly what you need when you have a plumbing emergency. Thanks Marshall Services.

Arrived on them, and completed work on time

The plumber was on time and very helpful and courteous He made sure to treat our home with respect at all time. His name was Josh and throw young was very knowledgeable I would recommend him to anyone.

The workmen arrived within only an hour or so after I was contacted through the Home Adviser reference. They then went out of their way to install a new water heater in a very tight space, even swapping out the original replacement for another one that worked better. I recommend these workers without hesitation. . . .The only problem I have is that I thought the price was a bit steep.

Rip off. $254 for 3 minute job and they tried to tell me I needed a new toilet and tried to charge me $1500 for one. Despicable.

The serviceman was extremely knowledgeable and helped me make an important decision. I highly recommend this company.

My heat pump fan lost control, it kept on even the thermostat was set "off", other than that heating and cooling work. I searched through home advisor and get a few matches pro. Marshall was the first one available and first diagnosis visit charge was reasonable. But when the technician visited, he called me saying that a few parts needed to be replaced so the total will cost $2200! The crazy number made me to go with another company for 2nd pinion. The new technician went there simply replacing the relay for $150. This is very honest review, just to warn the other customers like me.
