Everything went as planned

While trying to clean a drain in the bathroom sink, I cracked the drainpipe. I called Matt that morning. He responded within the hour and was at my house later that afternoon. After replacing the drainpipe, Matt repaired two leaking toilets. He was very professional and left both bathrooms very clean. If I have any future plumbing to be done, I will not hesitate to use Matt Mertz Plumbing.

Matt came out to unfreeze the pipes on a Sunday morning, which resulted in a $250 service call. When he opened up the area where our water main line the pipes unfroze and he did not need to perform any service beyond that. He was friendly, professional and prompt, but I thought $250 for a service call, even on a Sunday, was a little excessive. I would use him again during the week for a project, but in the future I will inquire about costs prior to having a plumber come out on the weekend -- it was my fault.

I was very satisfied with the service.

Between two houses (Mother and Daughter), Matt has done numerous jobs for us on several occasions. He always answers the phone right away, says when he can come, calls beforehand, comes when he says he will come, is courteous, is fast, and does excellent work. His prices seem more than reasonable. You really can't ask for anything more in a plumber. He even cleaned under my Mother's washing machine, which had been leaking oil. (This was the problem in the first place -- our valves needed to be replaced in order for us to get a new washing machine installed.) We have tried many plumbers over the years -- but we finally feel as if we have found a good one.

I purchased a State water from my local hardware store a year an a half ago. Matt did a great job on the installation of the water heater. My tank was still under warranty from State and I had a faulty gas valve that had to be replaced. I called Matt and he came the next day and put the new part on my hot water tank. Matt is very trustworthy and honest, and his work is excellent. Safety is a big concern with Matt, he does the job right the first time. I did learn one lesson from this experience, the next time I need a hot water tank I will buy it directly from Matt and not the hardware store !!!

He was clean, showed up on time and did a great job. His pricing was reasonable and the quality of his work was good.

Matt was awesome. He is extremely knowledgable and skilled, very personable and explains everything clearly and professionally. He knows what he is doing and does not gouge the customer (which I really, really appreciated after having worked with multiple other plumbers). From the first interaction until the job was done, he was responsive, on time, diligent and trustworthy. I gave his inofrmation to everyone in my family!

The job went well. He was very prompt. He was here when he said he would be. The price was worth the job he did. He came and diagnosed the problem. He told me what I needed. He came back and got the job done.In 2 days the air was up and running again.

Matt was very punctual and responsive. He did an excellent job and we liked his professionalism towards us and the job at hand. We have hired him a few other times for various other jobs. We highly recommend this plumber and plan to use him in the future for future projects.

Matt came when he said he would after having to reschedule us a few hours later than planned because of an interim emergency. He was extremely polite and informative, making rapid adjustments where necessary and answering all of our concerns. He worked quickly and efficiently and I am delighted to have found someone so competent since I know that a house of this age will someday present us with another need for Matt's services.

I traced a leak in the basement/garage up to the main bathroom faucet. Not being familiar with the type of faucet we have, I decided to get some help. We joined Angie's list and Matt was one of three in the list that came up. We called Matt (who answered the call personally) and based on the flow rate of the leak, it required prompt attention. At the time of the call he said he was just finishing another job and said he would be by our house in half an hour. When he got to our house he took appart the faucet and tried fixing the area that was leaking to no avail, determined thet there was a crack in the assembly, which he replaced with a matching assembly he happened to have with him. Leak is fixed.

We purchased a stove at Lowes, but they never informed us that the installers would not touch the existing gas line. The men showed up and literally left the stove in the kitchen. There was no warning, so we had this stove sitting in the middle of the kitchen. We called Matt and explained we would like him to come over and help us out. The existing line needed capped and checked for leaks. Matt usually does his scheduling on Sunday, so he was booked for the week. He was nice enough to shoot over to our house within the hour to help us install the stove. He was extremely professional, as usual, and did many extra things to help us out. We offered to pay him some extra cash, but he did it to be nice. He capped the gas line, checked for leaks, helped me move the new stove in place, and take the old one to the curb. I would say he went well beyond his responsibilities. Matt is hungry to be the best and exceeds our expectations every time he does work at our house. I feel extremely comfortable having him at the house and doing his job. He fit us in because he knew we were in a jam and gave us a great price for the work that was completed. Great job Matt, keep up the great work.

Matt answered my call immediately and came out to give us a ballpark estimate right away. He is extremely busy and works with a small crew, but he scheduled us in quickly. The work was done professionally and totaled out at the low end of his estimate. He was very clean and efficient.

Matt was right on time, actually early. I talked to him on the phone 3 times and he was extremely professional. He came over and started to get to work right away. I can tell he wanted to get going and moved the entire time he was in the house. He wants to get things done and is extremely motivated to get the work done and done right. He moved through the upstairs toilets quickly and admitted it went faster than expected. He did not try to gobble up time doing something stupid and try to cost me more money. I talked to him during the work and he was an interesting guy that wants to earn an honest dollar. He made his way to the first level and got started on the sink and faucet. We got 6 bids on the job and he was right in the middle, but one person said it would take 6 hours to do the pedestal sink, Matt had that done in about an hour. I was so impressed with how he took phone calls and would work at the same time. I never felt like one second was wasted. He finished in the kitchen and finished the last toilet in the basement. Before I knew it he was done and early. I liked him loads as a person, the work was done exactly as described if not better, and he tried to save us some money. We had this one drain that was clogged, he jumped right up stairs at the end to fix it. He takes his work seriously and I will have him back to he house with any plumbing concern. I finally got someone that I can trust and use without worry. I hate to put all this information on here, because I do not want him to get too busy incase I need him :). Matt is a great guy, you cannot go wrong using him.

The experience was excellent. He was running late, and hee kept me informed every hour. It was great. He came in the evening to do it. He did quality work. His prices were reasonable. They were responsive to my phone call when I called them to come out.

Work was done professionally and efficiently. He finished sooner than I expected.

Matt responded to our initial call very quickly and scheduled a time to review the work to be done. He arrived promptly to evaluate the state of our bathroom remodel, and told us the hourly rate up front. He described what work would need to be done, and we established how much we would be comfortable doing ourselves and how much we wanted him to do. The work was performed about 2 weeks after the initial review. Again, Matt and his colleague arrived on time and went straight to work. I believe they were complete in about 6 hours. Although they had a lot of equipment, everything was cleaned up perfectly when they were done.

He is a very professional young man. He comes in a decent time frame. He doesn't leave a mess when he leaves. He is very knowledgeable and knows what he is doing.

Matt did a great job and has done work for us in the past. He is very honest and helps explain what is needed to remedy the problem.

Left a message and got a call back the same day. They came out the very next day and did fast and fantastic work. Very professional and helpful. Did extra work on a bathroom sink that he didn't even charge us for. Awesome in every way! Strongly recommend!! From 12/09/05, I was delighted that the gentleman I spoke to took time to talk through ideas for me to try with the tub. He said that he hated for me to pay for him to come out and tell me the same things that he was telling me over the phone. Very refreshing attitude!
