Matt Mertz Plumbing Trenchless Sewer Repair Expert

I have been using Matt for my plumbing needs for a couple of years now. I have been very happy with all of the work he has done for me. He has someone reply to my phone calls and emails within a couple of hours and he always personally gets back to me the same day. He schedules appointments quickly, is professional, and shows up when he says he will be there. More importantly, he's nice! I called him today to schedule an appointment to have a leak in my sink faucet/sprayer fixed. As usual, someone from his company got back to me right away and he called me later in the day. He put me on his scheudule for Wednesday, but gave me a tip for fixing it on my own and told me that if I wanted to try it and get back to him to let him know whether that worked, I might be able to save myself a service call. Well, don't you know that his tip worked! So, I fixed my problem in a few seconds, didn't have to take a half day off to stay home to keep an appointment, and didn't have to pay for a service call. I would say that was pretty nice of him. He could have said nothing and shown up to do the simple fix and charge a fee. I am going to continue to use Matt for all of my plumbing and I suggest you do too!

He fixed both of that. It's hard for me to actually say if his price was reasonable as I don't know how much these things cost.

He did all that I asked him to do and did a good job. I liked his services and will use the same in future.

Matt was on time, completed the job quickly and inexpensively. He did an excellent job cleaning up (room was cleaner after he was done than before he started). I couldn't be happier. I will definitely be using him again in the near future.

Matt was extremely responsive via email and phone. Additionally, he was friendly and helpful. We had a very tight budget and little familiarity with the challenge that we faced. Matt took time to answer our questions and worked with us to reduce the cost. While he recommended back filling the ditch with gravel to avoid sinkage, he agreed to use the dirt and take extra care to compact it. He also helped us by spreading gravel over the entire driveway, buying us some time until we can afford to replace the cement. We had several estimates done. We had quotes from $3800 to $12000. We chose to go with Matt Mertz Plumbing due to their overwhelmingly awesome ratings on Angie's list and because he made us feel comfortable and confident that he would do a great job and stand behind his work. Our experience was more than we'd hoped and the cost was even less than we'd anticipated. We will undoubtedly contact Matt Mertz and his team for any future plumbing related projects.

Matt went the extra mile for me and my family under a tight deadline, all complicated by a mistake made by a part manufacturer who sent us a faulty replacement. Matt overcame the situation and made sure that the new part was installed and the shower was working properly prior to the arrival of our out-of-town guests who, without Matt's help, would have been out of a shower!

We called on Memorial Day and they came the very next day. Matt showed us the problem and provided an estimate. He came back the very next day first thing to take care of everything. Very personable, fair, and professional. They were prompt, clearly knew what they were doing, completed the job in a quick and professional way. Excellent!

Outstanding!!!! Efficient, professional and cleans up everything even your own dust and dirt! The floor around my one toilet is now cleaner that it was before he removed and reset the john. I have never so pleased with a home service professional as I am with Mertz Plumbing.

Mr. Mertz's workers showed up around 8:45 a.m. on a Saturday. They checked for, and found, the gas leak. They explained what was to be done. They were gone by 9:05a.m. The final cost was slightly under the over-the-phone estimate that I was given. Everything seems to be working fine.

Mr. Mertz arrived punctually at 8:15am with his work crew. He had made arrangements for all the permits needed, checked out the underground utility locations and contacted a company that would properly drain and dispose of the septic tank overflow tank. Mr. Mertz and his crew removed the overflow tank which was buried about 10 feet down, carefully removing flowers that were planted around the area. When completing the tank removal, they replanted the flowers and neatly covered the area with soil. He carefully filled in the hole left by the tank so it was safe. His crew also rebuilt the part of a stone retaining wall that ran along the area they had worked on. Mr. Mertz also re-routed a drain pipe to properly re-direct rain water that had been spilling over from our house gutters in the same area, This required digging about a 30 foot trench and laying drainage pipe down. This corrected a drainage problem we had everytime it had rained. The drain works beautifully now. The work was done professionally and the price was very fair. He and his crew worked over 4 hours to complete these two jobs. They cleaned up completely when finished. They did an excellent job and I would hire them again.

Rather than charge me for a new disposal or even making me wait while the replacement part was fetched from a local store, Matt's company simply swapped it out from a disposal they had in supply on their truck. In other words, this oversight by my countertop contractor could have cost me hundreds of additional dollars or even hours of waiting -- but it didn't because Matt Mertz handled this in the most above-aboard, customer-friendly way imaginable. The actual work done by Matt's company is impeccable; but what really distinguishes them is their professionalism. I wish they did more than plumbing, so I could hire them for other aspects of my home.

All of the work was done quickly and professionally. Matt arrived when he said he would, got right to work, fixed the problem on the first try and cleaned up when he was finished. We've chosen not to have the estimated work done (post light piping) because we want to try an energy-efficient solar replacement, as some of our neighbors have done. If that doesn't work out, we'll go back to the gas and have Matt do the repair work.

I spoke directly to Matt on the phone, and it was agreed he would come about 10 days later. We bought the faucets, but he had said that if we needed advice or help to call back, to email, to send him photos on the email. He arrived on time, was agreeable and professional, moved from one job to the next efficiently, cleaned up, and was gone about three hours later. We had saved some time by opening the access panel and clearing out the closet where it was in advance, but the main thing was he kept working steadily and got finished in a decent amount of time. And we used the Angie's List coupon to save $25.

I called Matt Mertz Plumbing to take care of several small plumbing jobs that had to be taken care of. I noted that he was local and rated highly in Angie's List. I made a service appointment and he called just before arriving to let me know he was on the way. He was on time. He was very polite and thanked me for calling him for this work. I showed him the four jobs I wanted done and he went about the work quickly and efficiently. I was surprised and pleased at how reasonable the price was. Much better than some of the "big plumbing companies" I've called before because I had no other name. He thanked me again before he left. I am very pleased with the work and the price charged. Also, with Matt's promptness and attitude. I would call him again for any plumbing issue.

I called this company first thing in the morning. The receptionist listened to the problem and politely asked when I was available. I was able to schedule an appointment for the same day. The technician showed up right on time and fixed the problem quickly. The drain works perfectly now!

Called to inquire about job, was nice someone was available to answer my call. Matt returned my call promptly the next day to schedule the appointment, and was able to schedule a visit in only a few days. Showed up promptly and got to work on replacing the toilet. He had brought along an assistant, which helped out and saved some time by getting tools, unpackaging the new toilet, and helping with the installation. Matt had never seen this type of toilet before (newer style with "hidden" pipes and smooth sides), but was able to install without a problem despite a hard-to-access water connection. Also had him clean out drains, which I thought would take a long time, but he recognized some simple problems and had all the drains working again in no time. Both he and his assistant were personable and helpful in answering my questions. Price was fair for the amount of time spent on the job, a little less than 2 hrs, which I thought was a reasonable time to complete the work. Even carried out new toilet packaging to the curb for garbage pick-up. Would hire again!

The company responded to my call the same day and scheduled a mutually agreed upon time for the plumber to come and assess the situation. He came as scheduled, determined the needed parts etc., and returned when he stated he would to make the repairs. While on site, he also provided some very helpful suggestions to avoid the same problem in the future and to address some other issues that he noted in the basement. I was very pleased with the service, will recommend them to my friends and family, and will hire them again.

They were very responsive. They replaced the water heater and did a great job.

We initially contacted three different plumbers to get estimates for the work we needed done. Matt Mertz returned the call promptly. He scheduled an appointment for the next day to give us a free estimate. During the visit, Matt explained everything that was needed in detail. Matt's estimate was at least $1,000 less than one of the other companie's and $300 less than another company. Brian, Matt's associate, arrived on time to do the work. He was friendly and professional. Brian excavated the basement floor and the outside and replaced the sewer line. He came back the next day to pour the cement after the inspection. Brian returned once the cement was dried to install the new laundry tub. He also installed an outside hose valve for us a no extra cost. Brian did an outstanding job. He was very neat and was always cleaning up the area he was working around. I would definately use Mertz Plumbing again and would highly recommend them to anyone who was in need of plumbing work. Great job!!!!

Matt arrived on time, and immediately went to work. He diagnosed both problems very quickly and corrected them in a very professional manner. The price was very fair and the quality of his work is excellent. I will use him again for a hot water tank replacement in the future.

Matt showed up on time. He snaked the drain and unclogged it. He explained what the problem was. When he was done they cleaned up very nice. I called and they were there 40 minutes later. I do recomend this company. I have used a different company in the past but I will always use Matt mertz plumbing.

Got back in touch with me quickly after first contact, schedulded work soon and showed up on time, price was better than another estimate I got, and was professional in manner calling me "sir" and thanking me for the business. I highly recommend.

Matt showed up early and was very professional. We couldn't figure out why drain would clog over and over. He explained corrosion of an old pipe. He cleared the drain in no time and advised the pipe would have to be replaced in the future.
