They never called me back. I spoke to them and told them what I needed and the plumber never called me back to give me a quote or anything. I called them again and still no one returned the call. I assume they were not interested.

Plumber workmen arrived on time. Cleared line using power eel all the way to street main -- 90 feet. Advised me of the obstructing fiberous paper materials that caused the clog. Within one day the line was again obstructed by a tenent using the same objectional material. Mertz plumbing returned the next morning to again clear the line and used a sewer camera to inspect the line. This second call and work was done without charge as they have a limited time guarentee on their work. They also do not charge for travel time within their area (even though this building is located outside stated area). Most pleasent experience with any plumber we have had occasion to use in the past 30 years. Highest rating plus.

Everything went extremely well. I would highly recommend them. They gave the best estimate (good prices). I also liked that they were on time and very professional. Other plumbers came to my home that lacked professionalism, so I am grateful this company worked out well. They also were very courteous of our home and made sure everything was clean and didn't leave a mess. This was the best plumbing experience I have ever had.

Once again, very pleased with this company. Matt is prompt and professional, and the office staff is also very good. The guys actually doing the work are also very good and are in constant contact with the company owner. I had to have a section of sewer pipe replaced from under my basement floor. This required jackhammering the floor, excavating the old pipe, laying in new pipe, and tying it back in with the existing cast iron and pvc. The job was then inspected by the county health department, passed,covered in a bed of gravel, and then a layer of concrete was poured. (All materials needed to be hand bucketed in or out of the basement) Overall, the did a very good job keeping the basement as clean as possible, plastic was put up during the dusty part, and the floor was hosed off as they wrapped up. (Note there was wet concrete at this point so that's about the best they could do) They were very neat out in the yard where they mixed the concrete. When any issues or questions did arise, they were dealt with promptly and with no fuss. Finally, and as I expect, the crews are very pleasant to be around and have in one's home, there was no way this was not going to be a messy and laborious job, but they got it done, on-time, in-budget, with no stress. Also want to add that since this was the first multi day and not in and out kind of job I've had done by this company I was impressed by the logistics of the operation, if they needed people or equipment there was never an issue in getting it.

My toilet overflowed all in the basement, I called my regular plumber who was out of town. I was unable to use my only other toilet upstairs because as soon as I flushed upstairs it would come up downstairs. I called Matt Mertz and spoke to Elsie. She said they had an opening the next day. I asked her to keep me in mind if anything opened up. She called later and JIm and Jake came over. I told them when this happeded before the plumber always snaked to toilet. They looked around the basement and found a cleanout that my plumber never used. They snaked in there and the clog was gone. They were very professional and very good at finding the problem. They are definitely my new plumbers and next time I will not tell them to remove the toilet to snake the problem

Called to have the guts of two toilets replaced. They were able to come out on the day I wanted. They were supposed to arrive at 8, but called to say they had an emergency call and would be there by 8:30. The company associate came and replaced all the parts needed. I didn't give excellent ratings because I thought the price charged was high ($90 for service call, plus another $90 for parts). I was able to use a coupon from their website for $15 off, but I still thought the price was excessive for a one hour job, but maybe that is standard (I didn't compare prices with any other companies). Also, I had to go clean the floors in each bathroom after they left because even though they wiped up the dirty water, the floors were still very dirty.

I woke up to a total blocked sewer drain! Thank God for Matt Mertz!! I called and talked to Lisa in the office, she was very helpful. Hunter was able to come out within the hour. He took a snake and unclogged my sewer then took a camera and made sure it was totally clear. Was I impressed! He was very professional, knowledgeable and put me at ease with my problem. I would highly recommend Matt Mertz Plumbing to everyone.

After serviceman looked I needed a new faucet which he supplied. a new faucet was installed with new drain assemblies. Very satisfied with work and quick resolution of problem. Kitchen was clean after work performed.

In a word, wonderfully. They did the initial rough work in December, and in January a friend and I started the finish work, starting up from the joists. Of course, as with any project of this type, there were the inevitable intermediate steps and complications (e.g., after roughing in the drain for the shower, they had to come out again after the subfloor was in), which required the plumbers to come out for several relatively short trips. Each time, they came out as soon as they could, and finished quickly. They were very helpful and professional, and I will definitely use them again.

They came right on time, told me they couldn't identify the brand of faucets, charged me $95 and left. They could have told me of a way to fix the shower faucet in particular; while it was a difficult replacement, there actually turns out to be a pretty easy fix they could have mentioned. As experts, I expect them to know about the products and solutions out there. While I'm disappointed with trip #2, I'll probably give them another try because of how well the first one went.

This is the second time that Matt Mertz Plumbing has responded to a significant plumbing issue in my house. They do an outstanding job and really do "save the day." I recommend them without hesitation.

Matt Mertz and his team were very professional. A live employee answered my phone call after working hours (7:30 pm) and scheduled an appointment immediately. They even bumped up our service to a Saturday instead of the following Monday due to our immediate needs. They came when they said they would, finished the work in less than an hour, cleaned up after themselves and did excellent work. I couldn't be more pleased.

The operator named Lisa is very nice and professional. I tried Matt Mertz Plumbing two times in my two houses. They did wonderful jobs on both times. The plumber come on time and they alway try to call us at least 15 minitues earlier. They also did the job perfectly. I will definately call Matt Mertz Plumbing again.

Work was requested during a heavy time around the Thanksgiving holiday. Work was performed within one day of call and during the time frame estimated by the scheduling office. Workers were pleasant and proficient in the work they undertook. They cleaned up after the work was completed.

Had a problem with sewer line clogging. In the past I had unclogged . Usually happened in the middle of winter so I was usually out digging and unclogging in the cold weather. This time, at thanksgiving my wife and son convinced me to try a professional service so I called mr rooter. They came out the next day and unclogged the backup but in doing so they broke off their power snake in my sewer line, charged me 95.00 and left it. I went onto angies list an called the first plumber on the list who was fairly local. That was Matt Mertz plumbing. He came out that evening, accessed the situation and gave me a verbal and later a written estimate when he got back to his office that evening.My sewer line runs under 30 ft of concrete patio. His assessment was to dig up the first half of the patio to get to the cable and attachment that Mr rooter's personnel left in my sewer pipe. his estimate of approx 2500.00 was understandable because it would not be easy to dig up the patio to get to the line. Once open he would use a camera to access the rest of the line under the patio to determine if extra cost would be involved to repair line under the rest of the patio. His workers came out on teh day of the agreed service date and promptly got to working on the sewer line project.This was the middle of december so the weather was also no day at the . His employees were very courteous and professional as they went about their business ll the while not interrupting service to the house( we only have one bathroonm so it was necessary for my wife and I to be able to use the facilities to get ready for our work days. Once the first half of the pipe was extracted Matt used a camera to inspect the rest of the line which not only was damaged by the power snake that mr rooter's employee used but also showed that the terracotta pipe had roots growing into it. I received an estimate from Matt to install a pvc liner down through the rest of the pipe. Although was unprepared to throw another 2500.00 at the project I decided it was the best thing to do. If I hadn't I imagine they would have been out later to have to dig up the rest of patio. Decided it was best to do the work now instead of having the patio dug up again. Matts team performed the rest of the work all the while keeping the jobsite as clean as possible under the circumstances and they even re concreted the patio when they were finished and removed all of the concrete that they had cut out of the patio originally. Patio looks almost like new again, has two new clean outs as required by code and we have a lifetime guarantee of the work performed by Matt and his crew. Very satisfied with the work performed and extremely satisfied with the crew that performed the work. He;s got a young crew but they worked hard, especially under the weather conditions that they had to work in and they were very professional about their business. I would not hesitate to suggest to some one else to give Matt Mertz plumbing a call when they need plumbing services

The response time was good. However, the replaced toilet did not work correctly and the reapirman had to be called again. The chain on the second toilet broke but I managed to make a stop gap fix.

I wanted to install a gas cooktop in a remodelled kitchen with minimal disruption (and cost), though the kitchen wasn't plumbed for gas stove / oven. Matt Mertz personally came out to provide an estimate, walked me through the details, and provided his bid in writing a few days after his visit. After I scheduled an appointment, his guys showed on time, did a thorough & clean install, and tested all the installed components. They even reminded me of the Angie's List coupon (which I had forgotten to look up) and applied to the final bill. I've used Matt Mertz several times in the past for plumbing emergencies -- they were terrific and very responsive each and every time.

Plumber and assistant could not find a leak in plumbing but confirmed that water damage was caused by faulty washing machine. Company was prompt in responding and the cost was reasonable given the amount of time spent.

The basement toilet backed up at 10 PM in the evening. I called them at 6:30 AM the next morning, and by 8:00 AM two plumbers showed up. By 9:00 AM my little nightmare was over. They were very nice, and very respectful of my home. They took care to lay down a protective covering and snaked the drain all the way out to the public sewage. Based on this single experience - I would highly recommended Matt Mertz plumbing.

A few hours after I installed a carbon monoxide monitor in my house, it rang. I called EMT's to see if I had carbon monoxide in my home. The checked and said I did not, but that they could smell a faint sewer smell that could be a source of methane gas, which would also make the monitor go off, and that I should have a plumber come and check that out. I looked on Angie's List, and called Matt Mertz from there. Two very young men came to my house, one of whom I think was still a teen. They did a video inspection of a piece of pipe underneath my furnace, saw a bit of standing water and told me I had a "belly" in the pipe underneath my furnace. They said it had to be replaced, and priced it at over $3000.00, because as they said, while they were there, they'd just go ahead and replace some more parts of pipes. I thought to myself that these young men, who have never had to manage a household budget, thought they could decide for me that they should just go ahead and replace some other pipes, because they were there and could, did not know how to bid out a job. There was no way I would just replace pipe because they wanted to. They also handled video cable that was being put into and pulled out a sewer line with their bare hands. I mentioned they might want to use gloves for that and they declined. I believed them when they said I needed that pipe underneath the furnace replaced and so had 2 other companies come and give me bids for that. Neither of them video'd the area again. They both gave me quotes for doing different things, instead of just replacing the pipe under my furnace, and so I could not compare their prices. In the meantime I contacted a furnace company about the best way to handle removing the cement floor underneath my furnace to get to the pipes for repair, and was told that for about $600.00 they could come and hang my furnace from the rafters temporarily and then put it back once the floor was replaced. More cost. I went to one more plumber, who wanted to see for himself, when Matt Mertz wouldn't share the video they did, what was going on underneath the furnace, so I had to pay for another video of the pipes under the furnace. On this second video, there as NO problem with the pipes under the furnace. This plumber determined there must have been a broken house trap that was letting sewer gas in and determined it was at the back wall or just outside the house. So Matt Mertz would have charged me over $3000.00 to do a repair that wasn't needed and then I would have still had to fix the real plumbing problem with the house.

They did a great job! They were promt, very professional and organized. Both of the guys wore shoe protection and they used a drop cloth to put parts on so that they did not make any mess. They even took the trash with them.
