Description of Work: They installed a whole new unit for us. They are pretty inexpensive and they adjust things pretty quickly within in reasonable time. Their prices are reasonable. The tech also gave us his personal cell phone number and said we could call him with any issues. We really liked them a lot.

Description of Work: They installed a new central air unit. Aside from being late in their appointment, they did a very professional job. They even clean the area they work on. On July 2 the unit had a water leak but when we called Mike, he drop by our house and fixed the problem that same day.

Description of Work: Installed high efficiency gas heater in my home. Ultimately, the unit had been downgraded a few points, disqualifying us from PGW rebate. They got the manufacturer and distributor to make us whole. Efficient workers who completed the job on schedule. They will call you before coming out to make sure you are there, but didn't say that. Luckily I was driving home from work to keep the appointment and picked up the call on my aoto's bluetooth.

Description of Work: I contacted them over a message board (in the early evening). They got back to me in a timely fashion. We were able to set up an appointment for the next day. They came prepared and fixed my gas heater when they said they would.

Description of Work: They did not fix the problem and tried to sell me on a new $9500.00 air conditioning system. I had someone else come in and did the replacement for $3600.00.

Description of Work: Air conditioner repair. Older system. We were afraid we would have to replace it, but Philadelphia Gas made it work like a new system. They cleaned the coil rather than a costly replacement another company suggested, and replaced some electronic parts that were not functioning properly and replaced coolant. Reasonable price for extent of repairs and time.

Description of Work: I didn't use their services because I had only called them as a second opinion. However, the guy I spoke to spent about 20 minutes on the phone with me telling me everything I ever wanted to know about air conditioning. It was extremely helpful and hard to come by these days.

HOWEVER, THE WORK WAS PRICEY, THE TECHNICIAN WAS GRUFF, AND I WASN'T ABLE TO GET A RESPONSE FROM A REPAIRMAN UNTIL THE FOURTH CALL TO THE COMPANY. IF TECHNICAL SKILL WAS ALL THAT MATTERED IN THIS WORLD I'D HAVE NO PROBLEM RECOMMENDING THEM. BUT I PAID TOO MUCH TO BE TREATED THAT WAY. B-/C+

 + -1 moreI COULDN'T HAVE BEEN HAPPIER WITH THE SERVICE. THEY RESPONDED TO MY CALL IMMEDIATELY AND SENT SOMEONE THAT VERY MORNING TO CHECK ON THE ISSUE. THE FACT THAT THEY DIDN'T TRY TO PUSH A NEW UNIT ON ME AT A COST OF $4500, BUT LISTENED TO THE SPECIFICS OF MY SITUATION AND RECOMMENDED A NEW MOTOR INSTEAD, AT SIGNIFICANTLY LESS COST, SAYS A LOT. THEY THEN SENT SOMEONE THAT VERY DAY WHO WORKED FROM 4:30 UNTIL 7:30 AT NIGHT TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS WORKING AND THAT I WOULD HAVE AIR CONDITIONING. VERY REASONABLY PRICED WITH EXTREMELY GOOD SERVICE.
Description of Work: I GOT HOME AT 1:30 AM TO DISCOVER THAT MY AIR CONDITIONER HAD STOPPED WORKING WHILE I WAS ON VACATION. I CALLED PHILA GAS ELECTRIC THAT SAME MORNING AND THEY CAME OUT BY 10:30 TO CHECK ON THE PROBLEM. THEY IDENTIFIED A BROKEN MOTOR IN THE UNIT, BUT ALSO POINTED OUT THAT THE UNIT WAS VERY OLD AND LIKELY WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. AFTER MUCH DISCUSSION, THEY RECOMMENDED THE CHEAPER OPTION OF A NEW MOTOR AND CAME BACK AT 4:30 THAT SAME DAY TO INSTALL.

I EXPECTED IT TO COST BETWEEN 8-10 THOUSAND DOLLARS. I RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY.
