My husband came home from work on one of the coldest days of the year to discover the heater was not working. We called Mike and he was at our home within a few hours. He fixed the problem and we were so grateful to him. We first used Mike when our Central Air died a few years ago on the HOTTEST day of the year. I think he actually created and/or rigged a part for our OLD A/C so it would work until our new A/C arrived. (Mike installed new A/C). Having someone so responsive and trustworthy is very comforting!

The work that they did was OK. I wasn't happy with their customer service. I left a message with them and they didn't call back. I called again and they said they couldn't get out until Monday. I got a call from my tenant on Tuesday night and they still hadn't been out there. They finally got the work done and the work was done well.

Mike Toran was very knowledgeable, demonstrated problems so I could see them, and described the why & how. He came for estimate on short notice, and arrived for second visit an hour after he indicated (not bad). He responds by phone quickly, but there is an answering service, not an office, and does not keep parts in stock.

Overall, Mike's service and professionalism were top notch. The price was more than fair as one other company had looked at the heater, which is quite old and uncommon, and determined they could not service it. Mike's 20 years of experience are highly valuable but he did not charge me excessively, even though he was probably aware that I had few other options. The one downside was that he had said he would come to my house at the beginning of one week and did not actually do so. I called the office the following Monday, he called to apologize and set a new appointment, then he came the following day at the exact time of the new appointment. I'm willing to overlook that oversight in light of the excellent service that was ultimately delivered.

Excellent. He demonstrated extreme professionalism, knowledge, skill and patience. Additionally, we contacted another company for troubleshooting the same issue, and the other company charged us $35 more for the same information and time spent diagnosing the issue.

This company is good. They are what they are. They give me the gas and I pay the bill. I don't really communicate with them really, they just send me a bill.

They do fine work. They fact that they require a 200 dollar deposit up front I don't really like. I haven't had a problem with it yet. I don't really have a choice whether to go to them are not.

Very well--Mike explained every step he did, and taught me a lot in the process. We moved into an old house less than a year ago, and I wanted the heater serviced--turns out this had NEVER been done before! (It should be done each year). Mike cleaned a very messy furnace with aplomb, and fixed a problem before it caused us any trouble. He was very helpful. Note that the cost of the project was after 99$ for the annual service subscription.

I CONTACTED THEM AFTER CONTACTING A PREVIOUS COMPANY BECAUSE I WAS LOOKING FOR A CONTRACTOR THAT WORKED SATURDAYS AS I WORK MONDAY - FRIDAY. MIKE CONTACTED ME AT WORK WITH A VERY DETAILED EXPLANATION OF THE WORK THAT WOULD BE PERFORMED AND SAID THEY CAME OUT ON SATURDAYS---BUT THEN SATURDAYS WERE REALLY RESERVED FOR THEIR MAINTENANCE CUSTOMERS AND IF THEY HAD A CANCELATION HE WOULD CONTACT ME. THAT WAS A MONDAY AND I ASKED TO BE CONTACTED BY WEDNESDAY, I ALSO SAID THAT IF IT HAD TO BE DURING THE WEEK THURSDAY MORNING WOULD WORK. I RECEIVED NO PHONE CALL ON WEDNESDAY EVENING NOR DID ANYONE COME OUT ON THURSDAY..SO THURSDAY EVENING WHEN I GOT HOME FROM WORK I CANCELED WHATEVER APPOINTMENT I MAY HAVE HAD AND THEN PROMPTLY CONTACTED THE OTHER COMPANY.

I requested an estimate to install central air in a 1920's stone twin. Mike agreed to show up at my home the following week. Mike failed to show up at our scheduled time. He also failed to call and cancel. I called the next day to reschedule. Mike apologized and offered to come the following Saturday. Mike arrived and spent an hour reviewing the job. He indicated that he would get back with me and may need to come back to fully evaluate the job. That was three weeks ago.

The response to my request for an estimate was very quick. The work was scheduled and the workers arrived on time. The work was done in a very professional manner. The old furnace and water heater were removed, the new systems installed, and the work area swept clean when the work was done.

I worked in construction for Summer jobs but learned more in one hour with Mike. He analyzed our current system(s), which was no small task. He made various recommendations and supplied a fair quote. The work was done by two efficient employees. They cleaned up every day. The job was complicated. They had to work around an old solar water heating system and had to problem solve many tricky situations. The system works great and our utility bills have decreased. He even called several times after the job completion to make sure all was well. We were very satisfied with the service.

They were professional and did the job right, but the price was really bad considering what they had done. Unfortunately, I was desperate at the time and needed it done yesterday. I won t be using them again.

He wanted me to observe him while he worked. He explained what he was doing. He told me that the system was designed for a house twice the size of mine. The people that installed it did not do the intake duct work right; and he explained what was wrong with it and what modifications were needed to correct it. He told me what was needed to improve the efficiency of the system. He was very professional, polite, and informed. I was very satisfied with him; and with what he did.

Placed a call requesting an estimate and visit to my job site. Never got a call back.

The manager Mike spent three hours going through the house. Determining exactly what duct work was needed. The crew arrived on time and completed the work on time. The system works beautifully. According to neighbors, the home's previous two owners over a ten year period always complained that they could never get the house warm and that heating bills were killing them. This confirms for me that Mike was not selling a bill of goods. His system is superb.

One of my best experiences with a contractor EVER. I dealt with Mike Toran, and he was extremely responsive. I called to get an estimate, and he was there the next day (a Friday) and the estimate was in my hands on Monday. We scheduled the work, and the workers showed up! They were neat and courteous. As can be expected with such major work in an old house, a few things (like two stair treads) got damaged along the way, and a solution was instantly offered. In addition to that, after the work was done and had been paid in full, I noticed three separate issues on three separate occasions. Each time, a worker was quickly (within 48 hours) dispatched to my house to resolve the issue;no hassle at all! Oh, and when you call, I think you get an answering service, but Mike always called me back that day,if not within 1-2 hours! It was expensive, but it was a pleasure to work with such responsive, professional people.

We started out with them trying to clean and repair our current central air but we opted to have a ductless united installed (this required no duct work, just a blower mounted on the wall, kind of like in hotel rooms.) Once work started they anticipated being done early, totaling about 4 days of work. They had a crane lift the a/c unit onto the roof and wired it all up. First they could not get it to work at all for various reasons (leaks, moisture, others.) They used a very new technology that they were not adequately trained to install or at least they could not get it to work after months of trying. They replaced the piping, craned up a whole new a/c unit, called Hitachi (manufacturer) tech support, etc. We started the project in early April and it did not get finished until the middle of July. Even though it probably was not their fault we were constantly calling them, always getting excuses for why it didn't work. Mike (main guy) was very friendly but the job took way too long.

We had a very old central air unit that needed to be replaced, which they did three years ago. The second year the unit froze up and they came and fixed it for no charge. They do our heating and cooling maintenance every year and always show up when they say they will.

In the end, it was good. But the technician had to come back twice to resolve the problem, so it was a bit more time-consuming than I would prefer. Having said that, he ultimately did fix the problem and was very thorough in explaining why the unit leaked. He also gave me a detailed proposal for replacing both my AC and heating systems (since they are near the end of their expected lives), without pressuring me at all to make an expensive investment.

Wow, Mike, one of the owners was a G-dsend!! Our 1988 unit was working but making such a loud, horrible noise that we could not run it. We e-mailed them on a Sunday (based on Angie's List) and they called early Monday morning and were out that day! Mike did not have the part(s) he needed on him, but went and found it and came back. He worked for at least two hours in 90 degree temp to fix our A/C. We were so impressed how hard he worked that we decided to buy a new central unit from them instead of waiting for it to die altogether next year! They installed the new Bryant unit about two weeks after having old unit fixed. They did a great job. Maybe not the cheapest around but the service was fantastic!

They came extremely promptly, same day we called. Work seemed to be done well and professionally. A bit lax on cleaning up after they were done.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB. I JUST FELT IT WAS A BIT EXPENSIVE. IT WAS A VERY BUSY TIME, AS IT WAS A SUPER COLD DAY IN DECEMBER.

THEY WERE ABLE TO COME OUT TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE SOON AFTER I CONTACTED THEM. TOOK A LITTLE LONGER THAN I EXPECTED TO SCHEDULE THE WORK, BUT ONCE WE DECIDED ON A DAY THEY CAME OUT ON TIME AND DID GREAT WORK. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES AND MY A/C IS WORKING VERY WELL! OVERALL A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE, ALL OF THE STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL.

MIKE AT PHILADELPHIA GAS/ELECTRIC DESERVES RECOGNITION AS A TOP SERVICEMAN! I CALLED AT 9PM ON THURS. IN THE MIDDLE OF A HEAT WAVE AND LEFT A MESSAGE W/ ANSWERING SERVICE. MIKE CALLED BACK IMMEDIATELY AND PROMISED TO COME OUT THE NEXT DAY. HE SHOWED UP, FIGURED OUT THE PROBLEM, GOT THE PART AND FIXED THE COMPRESSOR. MIKE DID A FANTASTIC JOB, EXPLAINED EVERYTHING INTELLIGENTLY AND OFFERED COST-EFFICIENCY TIPS ON MY HEATING/AC SYSTEM. I CANNOT PRAISE HIS WORK ENOUGH.
