For 65 years we have serviced more than 55,000 clients in the Philadelphia, Lower Bucks County, and parts of New Jersey areas while earning a solid reputation. Description of Work: Had a sales rep/estimator come out and do a walk through of an extensive remodel of an older row house in Manayunk. Took copious notes and asked lots of questions but after he left, we never heard from him again. Called and left phone messages and emailed, but to no avail. Guess he was just not interested.

Our company takes any complaint about us seriously. And we do our best to figure out what may have gone awry. We question what we could have done better and address any complaint with the utmost attention. However, there are those instances where we find that the complaint is totally unfounded and quite frankly posted with intent to mislead future clients. This is one of those rare moments. Although there is always room for improvement within our services this particular client has grossly misrepresented the facts. Our Representative made the appointment to meet the client in the afternoon, which the client had stated after the appointment was made if he could arrive earlier it would be better. Our rep had the opportunity to accommodate the clients request and contacted the client and scheduled an earlier appointment with him. Our rep was on time even a little early for the appointment and the client however showed to the appointment late. It happens. Our rep walked through the entire property with the client taking notes. They covered the whole house from basement to roof. It was a large scope of work with a lot of detail. Prices for this size job are not given on the spot. Materials have to be priced and a proposal worked on, this takes time. After the initial appointment, the client contacted our rep and said he is looking into negotiating with an investor because he had issues with selling his property. Our representative emailed the client an estimate for the work proposed with pricing. The client states he never heard from him again and was never given an estimate is utterly false. The client even responded to the proposal wanting breakdowns of cost vs/ material vs. labor /per room. So communication was never an issue. We are unsure of the reasoning for this bad review that the client posted 2 months after last contact with him via email. We did not receive any phone call complaints from this client within that time. We would have been more than happy to perform the work quoted. Our integrity is very important to our company. Our 317 consecutive A+ review ratings, speaks for itself. It is disheartening to see such a negative, false, review posted. To be unhappy with a company for whatever reason is one thing, but to blatantly provide false and vagues testimony is unacceptable. We wish the client well with any future contractors he encounters.

I had a small water leak along the back side of my house. The water was coming in the ceiling/wall of the basement along side the back deck. I got several estimates and the information provided by Mr. Contractor made the most sense and felt like the best solution. They were very responsive from start to finish. The were on time for the free estimate as well as the work day. They finished the work in one day as promised. Since the work was done several months ago and many a severe rain, there has been no additional leakage and it looks great! The other estimates I received were for less which is why I did not rate them an 'A' on price. Sometimes it is worth it to pay more. The other 'B' was given because one of the workers called in sick. They did a great job of finding a sub so they could complete the work on the promised day. But I had the strong sense that the replacement worker was not skilled at siding but rather a set of extra hands. But I can't rate them any lower because they did the job as promised and fixed the problem.
Description of Work: They installed new siding along the back of my house. This included complete removal of old siding and gutter, installation of flashing and new siding with new gutter.

Mr. Contractor sent a representative to the house and said that the job was too small, and that they had to charge a minimum. The job was a stucco wall 9 feet x 7 feet. I was going with the job anyway, however, when the time came for the written agreement, it was documented as a side job and not being performed by a Mr. Contractor employee. End of story, I canceled the work order.

THE MEMBER CALLED US TO LOOK AT A JOB FOR HIM. WE LOOKED AT HIS WORK AND GAVE HIM A PRICE. HE DID NOT HAVE THE FINANCES TO DO THE WORK. YES WE DO HAVE A MINIMUM, IT IS NOT $975.00. WE TOLD THE MEMBER WE COULD NOT POSSIBLY DO THE WORK FOR THE AMOUNT THAT HE SUGGESTED. BUT IN GOOD FAITH WE DID RECOMMEND HIM TO A COMPANY THAT COULD POSSIBLY HELP HIM. HE DID NOT HAVE AN AGREEMENT OR AS HE STATED A WORK ORDER WITH OUR COMPANY, NO CONTRACTS WERE SIGNED, NO TRANSACTIONS MADE AT ALL, WE DO NOT "DOCUMENT SIDE JOBS" OUR COMPANY DOES EVERYTHING BY CONTRACT. WE ARE SORRY WE COULD HELP THE MEMBER,AND TRIED TO REFER HIM TO ANOTHER REPUTABLE COMPANY THAT PROBABLY COULD.

From the moment I called to an ask for an estimate to the completion of the job, everything went very well. Someone came out to look at the house and make an estimate just a few days after I called. The work was scheduled shortly after that and completed in one day about a week later. In a variety of little ways both the quality of the work and the level of customer service were top notch: the crew was polite, all the repairs looked great, people were easy to work with, etc. One thing to note is that they're certainly not the cheapest contractor available, but they're not the most expensive either, and the level of quality, service, and responsiveness more than made up for the price.
Description of Work: Stuccoing and capping a chimney, replacing a sub-roof, reattaching shutters to the front of the house, building new supports for basement staircase.

Left an email for company and returned call by the next day and visit the following day. He said he would be here at 10am and was here at 9;30am. Barry helped with insurance estimate, which was a few hundred lower. Brought jacks to keep deck up, removed post, made new cement foundation, clean up was done and very professional. Made sure cat didn't get out. Crew was wonderful. I am very happy with their work. In fact, they had replaced railings on the deck 5 years ago and 17 windows. Excellent company!!!
