The heater was running for a long time and very frequently. It is fine & is running normally after a person from East Coast Comfort Inc came and repaired it. He was friendly and spent a long time talking to us. He explained what was going on and he was not pushy. I had to wait till 6pm as they had to finish another job and then come. They were very responsive. They picked up my call even before they opened for the day and someone got back right away. The person called many times to check for information and to check whether the situation was fine. The price was not unexpected. I was very happy with them.

East Coast Comfort, Inc. had to delay the installation by a day because of a heavy snow fall. When I told them that I was slightly inconvenienced they upgraded me to a better unit for no charge. They increased the airflow of the unit that would've cost me about $800 otherwise.

They are punctual, they are courteous, and they take the time to explain the entire system as well as what they are doing. They walked me through everything that they changed in the house and they tried to fix something that the previous installer from 20 years ago hadn?t done well. I have met about 4 or 5 of the employees and I have been impressed with all of them.

Called back immediately, came right out, got the part that night and replaced it. Problem was solved. They even checked to see if it all went well a few days later after service was performed.

Overall, as usual it was a great experience. I had a flood in the basement & had some damages to the hot water tanks & Bering system. When I gave Tony the price that the plumbers charged to replace the hot water tanks, he suggested that next time I call him first. He said he would always at least try to beat competitors price. Needless to say when I told him how much the other co. Wanted to charge to fix the heating system he beat their price. He fixed the heat. Was in & out. Leaving me happy & totally satisfied with the job.

I called ECC on January 24, 2011 frantic because one of the children called stating "water is leaking from the white thing in the closet" and all the water is in the basement. I am stuck in traffic on the interstate and gave directions on how to shut off water in the house. I got to work and made a rambling call to ECC at 7 am and didn't realize they won't be open until 8am explaining what happened. Did not expect anyone to call back for a couple of hours. That did not happen! In ten minutes Ed called back and I explained that I think the water heater is broke. Explained I was at work but will leave shortly as water is leaking in basement. Ed explained that I should call Mary (in the office) once I arrived home. Called Mary once I arrived home and discovered she had been trying to call me instead. called me before I even made it home and I missed those calls. Once home, I called Mary and explained what had happened and requested Tony because he had installed my thermostat in August, 2009. Tony was not available as he was on another job but someone would be out to look at the problem once a person became free. The Gods were smiling on me because Tony called me shortly after and stated he would be there within the hour. It never takes him an hour! Tony arrived and immediately diagnosed the problem. We discussed price and size of the replacement water heater which would not arrive until the next day because it had to be ordered. Tony explained he would return the next day to install and he made sure water was back on in the house. The next day Tony and his assistant showed up as promised and installed the water heater perfectly as expected. I am so grateful to have a company like ECC for my HVAC issues. I trust this company to work on anything in my home. The service, price, professionalism and attention to detail is the best I have seen as I have had a few experiences before find ECC on Angie's List. Wish they did home remodeling..:) Thank you Tony, Ed, Mary and all the staff at ECC for a pleasant and worry free experience every time!!

Because of the bitter cold, I didn?t even price-shop, because I immediately sensed he was honest and wanted to do a good job. Several days after the chimney work was done, Mary in the office scheduled my job as soon as possible. Tony and Ed arrived on schedule, along with Pete and Jack, and they did this large job in one day. Because this was undoubtedly a dirty job, they put up plastic sheeting the whole length of my cellar, and left no trace of dirt or soot, a remarkable task. I?m still amazed they removed that heavy cast-iron monstrosity, plus the oil tank, and they explained the working of the furnace, the valves and the thermostat. Tony even built a metal deflecting strip on my back cellar door for me, because he noticed rain had come down the stairs! Tony even called the next day, Saturday, and offered to come over if we had any questions. This was a rare example of when everything went as well as we could possibly have imagined, and when my son gets this same job done-- without a rush job--I intend to enthusiastically suggest East Coast. Thank you, Tony, Ed and Mary. You simply can?t do better.

Another great experience with East Coast Comfort. After getting the furnace going on the first visit, Tony suggested we replace the inducer motor that caused the problem. They were in the process of getting a price for us when the motor failed again and we were without heat. I called first thing in the morning and they were out by noon with the new part. They had everything running smoothly shortly thereafter, just in time for several days of subzero weather. Great service!

Simply put, from the initial meeting through to the completion of the project, ECC was great to work with. They communicated everything very well, asked lots of questions, and were very flexible through the whole process. Their thoroughness from Day 1 made us very comfortable that they were the right team to hire. We are first time subscribers to Angie?s List, and giving us the outlet to find ECC has made the subscription worth every penny. We will be hiring them again for future needs.

Newly installed heater system that had never been used (we had just moved into a new condo), started up only once and afterwards refused to run again. Original installer did not respond to repeated requests for service, and we decided on a Saturday to call up other service companies, but none returned our call even after the weekend - except for Tony from East Coast Comfort! Even though it was a weekend, we got a call within an hour after leaving a message, checking with us to see if this was an emergency and required immediate attention (which he was prepared to initiate). We scheduled an appointment with him for Monday morning. He was on time, friendly, professional and easy to interact with, and explained to us what was going on along the way, and how he was eliminating potential root causes. We're so grateful about his responsiveness, how he interacted with us, his professional skills and his problem solving skills. Thanks to Tony's work, we were able to get the original installer to fix the exhaust pipe pitch under warranty. We would re-hire East Coast Comfort in a heartbeat!

They arrived exactly when stated and performed the installation perfectly. Tony was very responsive to my emails and phone calls.

The service rep came the next day, he was on time, courteous, and professional. He completed the job in less than 2 hours, and stayed after to talk about the HVAC system and some of the issues we are having with some noise.

Many of my family members use East Coast Comfort and they recommended Tony to me. He was very thorough about explaining my options and made good recommendations. He emailed links to me so I could research the equipment he suggested. Together we came up with a highly efficient system, reasonably priced. He also supplied me with the necessary documentation for the energy tax credit. His entire crew was prompt, pleasant and very professional. Months after the job was completed another contractor wanted a vent added. I wasn't left hanging. Tony came back and added the vent at no charge. Any call I have made to Tony has been returned within one day. I would highly recommend this company.

We called East Coast, and several other recommended HVAC companies, to provide estimates when our 30 year-old electric AC/gas heat system finally went. Tony came out and professionally explained what we needed and provided several options. His wasn't the lowest initial estimate, but we wanted to use him and found a price that worked. East Coast was able to install quickly once we settled on a price. On install day, Tony and his team came right on time, worked without incident, finished on time, and did an excellent job cleaning up and explaining how the new system worked. Overall A+, Tony and his team are great, highly recommended.

It went great. We got a lot of estimates, but got a particularly good impression of Tony from day 1. We found him entirely down to earth--never had that feeling that we were getting a slick sales pitch. And the system he offered was the best system offered us, at the most competitive price. We would have gone with him immediately, but we got involved investigating the possibility of a geothermal system (very green, but ultimately way out of our budget). A few months later, we called Tony back. As soon as we did, the anxiety I had earlier felt went right out of the process. They were able to accommodate my work schedule, and they did the whole installation in one very long day--in spite of the pouring rain. They were pleasant and professional the whole time, and when we had a slight problem from one of the pipes sweating a bit, they came back immediately and remedied it. I would recommend ECC very highly.

ECC was very easy to work with. They identified the problem with an old oil tank and discussed the options available. After deciding that an oil to gas conversion would be the best way to go they scheduled the work and completed everything on time. There were some issues with the lingering smell from the removal of the half full oil tank and from having to rehang the basement door. They were honest and helpful in talking through the problems with us and everything was resolved easily.

Called for an estimate. Tony came out promptly, surveyed the house and provided an estimate the following day. He made good recommendations and explained the different type of options I had. The price was well within reason and close to my estimations. Tony and his associates came out 10 days later and completed the job in one day. They were prompt, paid meticulous attention to detail and were incredibly clean, sweeping up after themselves repeatedly. They were very professional, offered good advice and I now look forward to saving some energy (money) and I won't miss the hassle of installing and removing heavy window air-conditioners any longer. I would highly recommend this company.

ECC was great. The unit they installed looks good and works great. They took care to ensure the unit looked level on the wall (even though my house is very old and NOTHING is level). They cleaned up after they were done and put everything back as it was. I can't wait for summer to try out the a/c unit!

Tony and his assistant were on time, friendly, and very professional. They taught me about my system and answered my questions about replacing my old HVAC system in simple terms. I will be using this company when I replace my HVAC system. I was very satisfied with the entire experience.

Tony was totally knowledgeable and very nice. He taught me everything I needed to know about how to run my new house's heating system and also advised me on one of the house's hot water boilers. I really appreciated his advice about the hot water-- he said that if we go through a private contractor such as himself, the boiler and installation will come to about $900 as opposed to Sears/Lowes which will cost about $1200 or $1300. He even gave me a radiator key for free so that I can bleed all of the radiators myself. I only wish that it had taken 1.00 hour instead of 1:15hrs because I would have preferred paying $80 instead of $120. That being said, $80 an hour is a 100% fair rate for this knowledgeable and friendly service.

When I phoned the office I got a very pleasant response and an appointment within a few days. Tony, the owner, responded to the call. He was prompt, knowledgable and very professional. He got right to work and checked out the heat & air conditioning. He explained what he was going to do and how it would help fix our problem. He said that if it didn't fix the problem to call him and he would return to check it out some more. But he was correct - it did fix the problem. I was very pleased and will call East Coast Comfort for any other heat or a.c. problems in the future. Tony fixed the problem in about an hour with no mess, and the price was fair. You can't beat that. I would highly recommend him. He asked how we heard about East Coast Comfort & I said through Angie's List. He was pleased and gave me $10.00 discount. P.S. He also installs water heaters! Wish I knew that when my water heater broke down last year!
