They returned my call right away and gave me an appointment for the next business day. They were courteous and knowledgeable about my problem. They called on the appointment day and gave me an earlier timeframe. The technician explained to me how too detect future problems with my heater. He also showed me the bad part and had the replacement part on his truck. Work was expertly done and quickly. I plan on using them again in the spring to for my ac. Great company I am a very satisfied customer.

I forgot to write a review for this provider until over a year after I used the service, so I don't remember many of the details. But I do remember I had no problems with them and thought they did a fine job making sure the furnace was all set for the winter. I had no issues with its operation that winter so I think they did their job properly and didn't miss anything. I currently have a service contract with another company but I would consider using East Coast Comfort again in the future.

It was a good experience. The tech gave me an honest assessment of my problem and successfully repaired it by replacing the a defective igniter / sensor pilot assembly. He was very honest!!! He didn't ever suggest any unnecessary work or over charge for parts. He also freely answered questions I had and explained to me in some detail.

.We had three estimates on replacing our furnance and air conditioner . East Coast gave us the most reasonable and honest price, We called the office and spoke with Brittany who handled all the paper work and transactions through our email. A date was scheduled, they called ahead, arrived on time and started work. The staff was courteous. kept the work area clean and completed the entire job in one day. Our heating system is working perfectly. I want to thank Ed, Tony and Brittany for helping us make this transaction so easy and pleasant. Also a special thanks to Ed for installing the Honeywell thermostat which was a surprise to us. I would recommend them as an A company and use them again when needed.

Great to work with -- he came out quickly and realized he needed to order a new part for the boiler to replace a broken piece. The pricing was very transparent, to the point of him showing me in the catalog how much they would have to pay for the part. He apologized to me for the length of time it took to get the part, even though it didn't really have anything to do with them. When the part came in he did the repair quickly, and threw in a general cleaning at the same time without me even asking. The boiler still had an issue after the repair, and he returned first thing next morning to correct it. Will definitely use again!

The owners and workers were complete gentlemen from beginning to end. Ed worked very closely with my contractor in a very professional manner. The men explained everything to me along the way and Ed was very sensitive to using the least amount of space for ductwork. Once the system was used there were a couple of snags. Ed came over immediately and rectified the cooling issues. I would definitely use this company again and would recommend them highly to others. Great job, Guys !

From start to finish the experience was great. My wife coordinated the scheduling of the estimate appointment and the installation date, and said Brittany at ECC was a pleasure to work with. The communication with her was easy and clear. As my wife and I were unsure about which gas-fired replacement system would fit best for our needs, efficiency expectations and budget, Ed provided us with three different options for the AC system, and three for the Heating System, from lower cost/efficiency to higher cost/efficiency. Ed explained to us the high-efficiency units would directly vent to the outside without going through the chimney flue, while the lower efficiency ones did not. This was a significant piece of information since we were also considering whether to replace our hot water boiler that vents through the same chimney flue as the heating system. Ed also sent us quotes for tank-less water heaters. When Ed came by as scheduled for taking measurements to provide the estimates, he spent significant time explaining to us the pros/cons of each option, without pushing any one of them. We had received estimates from a variety of other HVAC contractor companies, none matching the patience, professionalism and curteousy Ed demonstrated throughout. Also, Ed was the only HVAC contractor who pointed out to us that, if we opted for the high-efficiency heating system but kept the hot water heater (and not getting a tank-less model), we would have issues with the proper venting through the chimney flue in its current configuration. We would therefore also need to install a smaller diameter-chimney liner to eliminate backflow issues, since the heating system wouldn't use the chimney anymore and the draft setup needed to be adjusted. Because of the added cost and effort to deal with the chimney setup, we decided to purchase the highest efficiency heating and cooling system that didn't require direct outside venting, and to not replace our hot water boiler for now. Again, none of the other companies who offered quotes for high-efficiency, direct-venting systems, raised this issue. We're really glad to not have created another problem for ourselves, thanks to Ed's expertise he so freely shared. On the day of the scheduled work, Ed, Tony and another helper arrived on time, and worked extremely efficiently and effectively in replacing the old HVAC system, installed the new systems, and reconnected the existing duct work to the unit. They finished the work within a single day, which was very impressive. The old system was picked up by another of their colleagues, and everything was left in a clean, orderly fashion. Ed and Tony fixed some other smaller problems we had with the piping, and installed the new power cable for the new outside compressor unit through the interior drywall to the fuse box, and removing the old wiring that had been routed on the outside of the house (an eye sore). All of our existing duct work that was accessible from the mechanical room and from the crawl space was sealed by the assistant on the job, something that had never been done before and had contributed to some odor issues through the house, eminating from the crawl space. We were very pleased with the experience and the system.

Great! They were there promptly at 8 am (even though they did tell me they'd show up between 8 and 8:30) and were very knowledgable and informative. I had previously been told that I had the wrong thermostat on my system and that I was going to have problem b/c I had no hot air returns. East Coast Comfort debunked all that and showed me, in the system manual, how the system was properly configured. I swapped out the thermostat anyway as the new one was an upgrade from the existing thermostat. They also found a problem with the wiring that I believe was caused by the guy who gave me the incorrect diagnosis. The problem meant my heat wouldn't have come on at all! Overall, I give ECC an A rating. They were great and reasonably priced. I will have them out again in the spring to maintenance the A/C as well.

Right from "jump street" I got a good impression of this outfit. Return calls came right away, appointments were set up quickly, the folks came out right on time both for the estimate and for the installation. Everyone on the work crew was friendly and considerate and polite. The crew chief came up with some great ideas that he discussed at length with me. The entire installation was completed in one day including a respectable clean up and tutorial on usage. I waited a while to right this review because the system itself and all that is promised about it just seemed too good to be true. But I'll be darned if it all isn't playing out as promised. The system is so clean, quiet, efficient and responsive that I am still amazed. I also waited to get my electric bill. Six weeks of cooling (then a bit of heating) used less electricity than a month of just one AC window unit...true story !!! Then came a cool snap with nights in the 40s so I tried the heating feature just in one room and it was so quiet and perfectly warming that I was, again, amazed. I've shown the system to neighbors because there are many 100+ year old homes here with no duct work. All were impressed. I did not hesitate to give them the number for East Coast Comfort with complete confidence that they would be treated well and honestly.

They have been amazing from start to finish. The level of respect and care as well as patience was refreshing. I got 4 estimates and ECC was the best for the product. One of the reps said to me he isn't sure how they are able to give me that price on the unit I chose. The only way he could get me close to ECC's price was to try and sell me a less efficient unit. Besides the price their work ethic is very high. No matter how many questions I asked they were answered quickly and respectfully. Thank you guys.

I have worked in the trades for a long time and this was my first Angie's List hire. I was a little skeptical but got a few quotes and went with ECC. Tony came out and gave me a quote that was way better than the three others I received. We scheduled a final walk through for a week later and then the work to begin the week after that. They always came on time and were pleasant and good natured the whole time. They showed up on Monday and were finished by end of day on Tuesday. The whole experience was great from start to finish. I would happily recommend East Coast Comfort to anyone for their HVAC needs. I will definitely use them in the future.

East Coast Comfort, Inc's customer service is fantastic. They just finished the job. I have not seen the finished product because I'm out of town but it was absolutely fabulous service. They are timely, their communication is excellent, response time is very good, they stick within the budget of the quoted and fair pricing. He called and said he did the job for me and I do trust him. I asked him to do something extra and he did that with no extra charge.

ECC was so professional. They provided solutions to our problem areas and a quick turn around time to complete the job. The day of service, ECC came with 5 trucks and a team of professionals and spent the day fixing the system. It was wonderful and we will definitely be using them again. Great work ECC!!!

The representative inspected the AC unit. He said the freon level was low but he couldn't see anything wrong with the system. He suggested that I add freon to bring the level up and if the unit fails to cool the house, just call them back and they will track down the leak. I purchased the freon and the unit has been running fine so far.

Tony and his son were wonderful from their initial pitch to the installation. They scheduled the date of installation quickly, arrived on time, worked hard, smart and need, hauled everything away, cleaned up and got it all done the same day. Tony was very knowledgeable, answered our questions and addressed our concerns without hesitation. The system is working wonderfully. Powerful enough to cool all floors of our home comfortably. The smart thermostat we got is great as it allows us to change the temperature multiple time during a 24 hours period to accommodate our needs. I would not hesitate use them again should the need arise. We will certainly call them for any maintenance needs.
