These guys are awesome. I've had other carpet cleaners in, but they did not do nearly the job Live by the Brush did. This is not just steaming -- it's scrubbing and deodorizing. The whole house smells better even weeks after, and the carpets look like new. I'll be having these guys back yearly.

Great communication, first via the e-mail sent and then as a follow up phone call. Arrived slightly before appointment and was ready to go. The thick carpets he was working on were very stained in some places and he spent additional time treating those areas. Once finished, the carpet had a nice fresh scent that was not too strong, and which gradually disappeared as the carpet dried. Drying time was exactly as expected and, by the next day, it was like I had a brand new carpet. Even the areas that didn't appear to be stained came up cleaner.

Walter did a fabulous job cleaning our carpet. He was courteous, professional and showed us some problem areas that needed more attention. We had some pet stains that required greater attention and more thorough cleaning. Not only did he point the areas out, he was able to get all the stains out and our carpet looks like new. Walter is a true professional! He was waiting at my house for me when I arrived for our scheduled appointment. From the moment that he began the job, it was readily apparent that Walter is an expert at what he does! Walter has a thorough two step process whereby he treats and cleans the carpets. Walter successfully removed stains that marked my carpeted areas. He even went above and beyond the call of duty by removing paint stains that had been left by the painter. Walter quickly contacted me to schedule the carpet cleaning. He, then gave me a courtesy call the day before to remind me of our appointment. When he arrived, he was very friendly and professional. When I showed him my most problem area - the carpeting on the stairway, he told me what my problem was - I had been using too much carpet shampoo, for years. He recommended a more environmentaly green product to use in the future - a product that was very inexpensive. He suggested that I might even dye the stairs - something I had not ever considered because I did not think it was possible. He showed me how it might like - and I immediately wanted it done, and wanted to schedule another visit for that purpose - but he said that he could do it right away. When he completed the stairs, I was very happy with them. They had not looked so good in years. He then cleaned the carpets in two bedrooms, the hallway, and the stairs. After the work was completed, I was ecstatic. He gave me a healthy sample of the carpet deodorizer for me to use the next time I use my Bissell steamer, which was very nice for him to do. My carpeting is seventeen years old, and I have not had them to appear so fresh, clean, and healthy in ten years. I will certainly use Live By the Brush in the future, not just because Walter did such a wonderful job; but he took the time and the patience to explain to me what was wrong with my personal carpet cleaning method, and what I needed to do in the future to keep my carpeting clean and vibrant. I am definitely happy that I saw his promotion advertised on Angie's List. Thank you, Walter.

I purchased a big deal for carpet cleaning. The price was an excellent deal. He was punctual, actually early, and very courteous. He knew his stuff. He not only uses extraction but actually shampoos the carpets first. Hardly anyone does that! My carpets took a beating last winter with major filth right in front of the door and the usual path through the living room and dining room. I also had various makeup stains and who knows what else in a bedroom where my niece had stayed for the past 2 years. By the time he was finished you couldn't even tell it was ever there. My filthy, aging carpets came up great. All in all a great experience. I would definitely recommend.

Walter cleaned several rooms of carpet including an area rug. Excellent service. He was a pleasure to work with. On time, polite and most of all did a great job. The house smells wonderful now. We have 3 dogs and the house now looks like there was never a dog living here.

After Walter was finished our carpets look clean and bright. He took care with our furniture and completed the cleaning very efficiently.

He arrived exactly when he said he would, explained the cost, and got right to work. He was finished in record time! Walter was fantastic! He was prompt and arrived ready to clean some of the carpets in our rental property. After a quick review of the carpets to be cleaned, he confidently stated that he would be able to remove a 4 year old red stain from our light colored carpet in the landing. It was an additional charge (I think it was $45), and I thought why not try it out. He did some magic, I don't know what he did or how he did it, but this stain was gone. The rest of the carpets were cleaned beautifully and in great condition for our new tenants. We would use Live by the Brush again in a heartbeat!

Walter was early but respectful of the set time asking very politely if we were ready for him and we were. He was extremely friendly from the start. We walked through the entire house going over all areas, what needed to be done, and timelines. This was great as it was the day after moving 98% of our items out and I had a few to remove myself. He worked in rooms based on the order of us removing the final items from the house. These were undoubtedly the original carpets from when the townhouse was built. It has always been a rental property and these carpets looked every bit of it. We spent 3 years here and thought the carpets looked awful after the previous tenant had them professionally cleaned to the point we took pictures and went over them very closely with the landlord to ensure we would not foot the bill to replace the carpets. Walter made these carpets look brand new. We were tremendously impressed and vowed that day we would only use Walter in our new home. The one stain we were responsible for he was able to completely remove. We have already recommended Walter to people we know based on his outstanding work, friendliness, and professionalism. Nobody has ever done better. We like the product (not steam) and is so gentle and soft. He (Walter Pitchford) is the nicest man and does a wonderful job. He even did some spots I never thought would come out. This was the second time (other side of house) and we certainly would want him again.

I had carpet cleaning done in two rooms, as well as a hallway and staircase. On the landing of the staircase, there were pet urine stains that were pretty bad so the carpet was cleaned, deodorized and the padding underneath was changed. Walter arrived early and got right to work. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. I am a very happy and satisfied customer! Thank you!

I have a very old dog who has recently had some accidents due to old age and medications. The stains and odor are completely gone.

Walter was very professional. He arrived a little bit early, which wasn't an issue for me and got started right away. He explained what he would be doing and pointed out some potential problem areas and then gave me some tips to deal with them. We recently purchased a new home and the previous owners had a dog that, apparently, peed everywhere, so when I mentioned that my concern was really the smell Walter even left me a spray bottled filled with a deodorizer/cleaner in case I needed it later on. He was done on time, he was very careful with his equipment and overall provided a great service.
