This was one of the best experiences with a contractor I have had in years. The company was very responsive when I called and the gentleman that came out was very professional and knew exactly what the problem was. He spent a couple of hours fixing the problem and I could just hear dollar signs clicking away but the work had to be done so I steeled myself. I was very pleasantly surprised at the final price and 7 months later I can safely say the problem has been fixed! I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I called due to a hot water issue that I was having with our showers. A friend helped to advise us on the fix, which was able to be performed by myself. However, before we found the resolve, I contacted HL Bowman Inc to set up a service call. I was told what the charges would be up front. They were very courteous and professional. I was also accommodated very well--I have a very busy schedule and they were able to accommodate me for a service the next day, which is what I requested. When I had found out about the potential fix, while I was still not at home, I contacted HL Bowman to find out what their cancellation policy would look like. I did not want to cancel at the time, as I wasn't certain that my fix would work. I was advised that as long as they were made aware of our cancellation prior to leaving for the service call at my home, then there would be no penalties. Because I get home later from work then their business hours, I was simply instructed to leave a voicemail in regards to whether or not I would require the service to be performed. I had a follow up voicemail from HL Bowman prior to leaving work stating that if I still required the service call, they could accommodate me as early as 730AM! Instructions remained on how to leave a voicemail to cancel or confirm service. Luckily I was able to correct the problem myself, and left the appropriate voicemail. How convenient and accommodating! In the future, should I have any plumbing needs, I will be calling HL Bowman first!

They have an excellent reputation in the area. They are dependable, they come when they say they will, and do good work while keeping things clean.

They were very professional and clean workers. The work was done in the time frame they stated it would be. The furnace has been working wonderfully. We can't hear it run at all and the house is comfortable. We have not used the air conditioner much as the season was almost over when the installation was done but we expect it will work well.

The installation of the new faucets went very well. However, I provided the faucets, but was not made aware that the hourly rate would be appreciably higher since the service provider was not going to enjoy a mark-up on parts. I must be naive, I did not anticipate an $18 increase in the hourly rate (from the normal $72 per hour to $90 per hour). There was also an added $45 "truck fee" even though the plumber lives only a few miles from my home and stopped at my place first before reporting for other jobs. The plumber (Tony, my man!) did great work, but it would have been nice to know about the up-charge on the hourly rate ahead of time. I would have checked out other alternatives before I committed to $90 per hour. If you are providing your own parts, be sure to ask what the hourly rate will be.

The service representative (Tony) was very professional and pleasantly courteous; he arrived on the job about 10 minutes early, and got right to it, working quickly and efficiently. We will definitely have Tony back for the next job we need done.

They didn't try to sell us a larger water heater. They were on time and honest. They were professional and responsive to questions. They are also very respectful as well.

Very well. They arrived on time, removed the old tank and installed a new one in a short time cleaned up the work place completely. The plumber who did the work was neat , pleasant and knowledgeable. At the beginning when we made the initial inquiry the person taking the call was very helpful and knowledgeable. Overall a good experience from start to finish.

The office called just before 8am that morning and advised that they were sending a technician out and he should arrive in the next 30 minutes. Tony arrived and listened closely as I explained what we thought the possible causes of the "wet corner" might be. (Note: We're not plumbers and we're not super-handy ourselves.) Tony got right to work pulling up the carpet to check out the situation, checking out things inside the drop ceiling, checking out the kitchen sink, disposal, and dishwasher directly above that part of the basement. At one point he even crawled up into the attic thinking the cause might be the A/C condenser pipe. The good news is that none of our pipes are leaking! Tony diagnosed it was likely to be a groundwater leak that many basements experience. He advised we purchase a dehumidifier to not only suck the water up out of the carpet but also for general basement care. I chose this particular company because of the rave reviews they had received from other Angie's List patrons. I'm so very pleased with the service delivered by Tony. I plan to call them with all of our future plumbing needs.

Pipe burst in a loft over the garage. I called company and left message (this was a weekend) about problem. My wife and I had a trip planned beginning the next day. They contacted us and we talked them through the house (where the break was, water cutoffs, etc.) They let us know when work was completed and billed us after we returned. Great service.

They actually helped us to make sure we didn't make any mistakes. The consult was very beneficial. They were very fast at replacing the toilet, and my husband seems very happy. They're very efficient, and they're very quick, and their repairmen are nice. They're going to replace a sink, and there's some pipe work that they're going to upgrade.

They answered the phone right away and were ready to come out to fix the problem the same day. I had to delay a couple of days until I could get off work. The plumber was very courteous and professional. He didn't decide to cut a hole in the ceiling right away (whew!) but made an educated guess about the source of the leak - and he was right. The fix was inexpensive and didn't cause the hassle that cutting open the ceiling would have. I was very pleased.

The company was able to adjust their work schedule to come to the house by the end of the same day. Sink drains well again.

This company is very good at what they do. They installed a new bathroom for us and were very clean. I would use them anytime I can't handle something myself.

We got a quote for the work, and the job was started promptly. It took several days, and several laborers since it was such a large job. Everyone that we dealt with was very professional, and took care to clean up our yard after the work was done.
