It went well.

He did a great job for the price and he was able to do it quickly. He was a real craftsman; he was able to fix it, rather than replace it. He took the time to hand-fit the rocks and the wall looks great! I would highly recommend him to anyone! He did excellent work.

I live in California and arranged for this to be done remotely at my mother's house. This worked out quite well. I left a message. He went over and looked at the job and gave my mother an estimate. It was competitive and he had the Angies list discount. It was a small job and we let him know he could do the work any time it was convenient for him. He called a few days before doing the work to let my mother know he was going to be there. There was some rain that day, but it didn't affect the concrete pour. He waited around long enough for the concrete to cure enough to be sure any additional rain wouldn't harm it and would have covered it if necessary. The steps look great now.

Overall, Mr. Lazzaro is very professional and hard working. He is experienced and offers great advice. His qualitly of work is unmatched. I am so happy that I found LAZZARO CONSTRUCTION on Angie's List. I will recommend this company to all my friends looking for any type of cement work. I am now thinking of something else to get done around my home. His work certainly adds value to any home.

I called Lazzaro construction to see if they would be able to dig a French Drain in my yard to divert water away from my lower yard. Joe Lazzaro called me back and scheduled a time to give me an estimate. Joe came out on Saturday and measured the distance told me what he would do and gave me the price of $1700.00. He said he could make it $1600.00 if we paid in cash. Joe said he would dig the drain by hand because if he brought in a mini backhoe it would tear up the yard too much. We have children and dogs, and we didn't want our yard to be a mud pit. We considered the estimate, got one more from another company (who would use machinery to dig). We decide to go with Joe. Joe said he would be at our house on Tuesday morning at 7:30 am so I could review and sign the contract before I leave for work. Joe came at 7:10 and started staking out where he planned on digging so he could show me where it would be. I agreed and signed the agreement. Joe began digging right away. The sun was barely up and it was cold. But Joe worked very hard and very neatly dug the drain. He dug the entire 80+ feet of the drain 12" wide and around 18 inches deep, laid the pipe and gravel and landscaping cloth and filled in 2/3 of the trench all in one day! He went and purchased the gravel (he brought half a truckload at a time so the truck wouldn't make indents in our yard). Joe finished the project the very next morning. We paid half when the job started and half when it was complete. Joe took great care to keep our yard neat and was very meticulous about his work. He also spread the excess dirt where we asked him to in low spots and holes in our yard. He said he wanted to treat our yard how he would treat his own.

Joe was quick to return my phone call, stop by to view the job and give an estimate. Once we decided to hire him, he scheduled the work within a week. He showed up very early one morning and in three hours had removed the old sidewalk and prepared the set up for the concrete to be poured the next day. He left the work site very neat. He came back a bit later to throw down sand on some pavers we had asked him about and cleaned that area up as well. Joe returned the next morning very early and met the cement truck. Within hours he had completed the sidewalk, giving it a beautiful finish and completely cleaning up. He also caulked a crack in our front steps. Joe takes great pride in his work and it shows. Our job was small enough so that he could do the work all on his own.

Working with Joe was a pleasure. The quality of his work is excellent. He was professional and friendly. He kept the work area neat and clean throughout the job. He let me know what to expect as far as timing of the job related to the weather and other circumstances. His experience was obvious by the ideas he proposed while discussing the project and in the finished product. When he encountered an unforeseen issue with the walk and the foundation, his solution was perfect.

This was an excellent job. It was delayed due to inclement weather, but he constantly kept in touch with me, he even paid me visits to tell me when he could begin. He was very knowledgeable. I only got two estimates but his price was substantially lower than the other. My neighbors have commented about how nice it looks. I would not hesitate to recommend him. He is personable, knowledgeable, and honest. I would certainly use him again when I plan my next project.

He cleaned all the block up and made it look new. He did wonderful work. He is very good.

Joe was on time and communicated by phone the one day that had to be postponed because of weather. Finished the project on time and it looks great. Joe was recommended to me by a neighbor, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for quality work at a decent price.

Joe did a great job and gave us a bid that was significantly lower than three other contractors. At first we were not sure about him because he did not show up as scheduled for the estimate, but he did show up unannounced a few days later and we're glad that we didn't write him off. He pointed out a few things that the other contractors missed when they assessed the difficulty of the job. He performed the work very quickly and the quality is good. Again, he is not very good at calling before he shows up, but he's very polite in every other way. We would hire him again.

JOE CALLED ME BACK THE SAME DAY I CALLED HIM. HE WAS HERE THE NEXT DAY FOR AN ESTIMATE and COMPLETED THE WORK WITHIN TWO WEEKS. I AM JUST THRILLED WITH THE JOB HE DID and HE RETURNED THE NEXT DAY TO SEAL THE EXPOSED AGGREGATE.
