Description of Work: We were told that we would have an estimate in about 2 weeks, but it actually took them more than 2 months. After we signed the contract, though work was supposed to start in 3-4 weeks but did not actually start for about 6 weeks. Once started, they did do a good job fixing our drainage problem.

Description of Work: We contracted Stubenhofer Landscaping to install a walkway and cover our cement front porch with the same pavers. The finished product was beautiful. They also came back and repaired the landscaping perfectly. We've recommended them to friends and will definitely use them again!

Description of Work: They did the job promptly and on time. When we had a bad rainstorm that flooded and caused some washout of their work they came out right away and fixed it for free.

Description of Work: Removed and replaced front and side landscaping. They were prompt and professional, and provided a layout drawing prior to performing work. I would absolutely use them again.

Description of Work: Our retaining wall was leaning and would eventually fall over. We had one estimate from a different contractor for $14,000 for a brick wall (!) Since this was way over our budget, we called Stubenhofer's . They were able to reuse the existing timbers, straightening and strengthening the wall. |It was a difficult job because the gas, electric, and cable lines ran right behind the wall. They came when they said they would, did an excellent job, and then reseeded the grass after finishing the job. It looks great !! |We were so please we had them come back to add an extra parking space by the garage. |I would highly recommend Stubenhofer's for any landscaping job.

Description of Work: Joseph P. Stubenhofer (the owner)came to our house to discuss the landscape / hardscape project on 5/31/14. The project was for a patio, walkway, steps to lower yard, and a path through lower yard (woods) to creek. At that time he was a bit argumentative about our tree choices (he doesn't like redbuds), but said he would mail the estimate "in about four weeks". He never mailed the estimate nor called. Very unprofessional. We used a competitor.

Description of Work: Intention was to grade driveway and repair gravel damage from plowing

Description of Work: Planted three Royal Raindrops flowering crab trees (1 3/4 " caliper B&B size). Trimmed three pear trees and an apple tree.

Description of Work: Built a swale alongside the house, put up a berm, and hydroseeded. Also foundation planting in front and side of house. Relocated two white pines. Took out an arbovitae.

Description of Work: What started off as a small clean up for us, ended up being a major clean up so we decided to call in help. Stubenhofer was one of the places we called for a quote. Out of the ones that even bothered to call us back, Brian was more than willing to come out within a day and assess our project. We had them do a 'spring clean up' that included a few extra things. Besides the weeding, mulching, edging and yard cleaning, they removed a few bushes and cleaned out our creek beds from the winter run offs. To say here everything they did above and beyond what we wanted would take forever. We were looking for our "landscaper go-to guys" and we found them!!

Description of Work: They landscaped one side of our house and the back of our house. They planted ground covering and put in brick pavers.

Description of Work: They did landscaping work. The guy that replaced the gas line messed up a section of our lawn. Our home owner association told us we needed to fix the grass and even out everything.

Description of Work: He met me at the house and gave me an estimate on the work. The estimate was good but I didn't purchase the house.

Description of Work: Drainage work to capture water running downhill onto side of house; included building a planter to catch any water coming off gutter and extending ditch along the road. Work was effective as demonstrated in downpour we experienced Aug 15. Pruned two decorative trees. Work met my expectations. Built a large planter at back of deck, and added two rhododendrons (now have 5). This has been a big improvement to the looks of the back yard. Reseeded areas where work was done. I was happy that the ground was packed back to firmness when they were done. And the seed is growing well, even though grass doesn't grow well in my wooded area.

Description of Work: I used Stubenhofer Landscaping today to clean the yard, barked in the garden.
