PRO FLOOR SANDING

Description of Work: Sanded and coated wood kitchen floor.

Description of Work: I needed to have every floor refinished in a whole house renovation. Other contractors tried to have me tear up several rooms because they thought the floors were not salvageable. Julio was able to show me that there was good hardwood under the vinyl and proceeded to repair, sand and refinish them all. He saved me money in the process! They came out fantastic!

Description of Work: Julio was one of the few contactors that actually responded immediately to my request for an estimate. He was very flexible with the appointment and came after work at the time that was most convenient for us. He thoroughly measured all the rooms under consideration. He explained that we had two options with regards to the orginial hardwood floors that had been under carpets. He gave us estimates for both types of work which were under what we had expected to spend. We choose the option to have the floors completely sanded down and re-done. One of the thing that Julio also included in his price was to counter sink all the nails, which he explained would help reduce noise from the floors. He gave us materials on the process and provided us with many choices to have our floor finished with. He did all this on the night of the estimate and when he left we knew exactly what we were to spend. We initially received our estimate for refinishing the floors in 4 bedrooms, the front hallway, the living room, and the dining room. The estimate did not include Julio's crew pulling up old carpet or in our case the old parquet floor. This was by our request. Since that house wasn't inhabited yet there was only one hutch and one desk for them to move to complete the work. Julio again accommodate our request to sign the contract and to pay the 50% of the bill up-front. He wife was very helpful, professional and friendly when we spoke to her as well. We unexpected did not find hardwood floors under the parquest floor and suprisingly did fine original wood floors on the stairwell. They easily adjust the estimate to provide us credit for the work not done in the hallway and to add the stairs. Julio was able to start on a date that worked for us. The work took 5 days. The crew did an excellent job keeping the dust to a minimize, appropriately sealing off other parts of our home. The work included 3 coats of finishing. Everything was done in the time frame promised. Julio kept in contact with us updating us as needed. We would definitely use this company again if the need arose. We highly recommend Julio and his crew.
