I've used lots of different contractors including the "local guys" and Home Depot. The difference with using Horizon is: The negotiated price is the price (ie no hidden extras once they start the job) Showed up on time & the day they promised Called & emailed to confirm the sales & installation appointments Laid mats from the outside through my house to the installation area to protect my floors Cleaned up after they were done Explained all the equipment & how it operated Done by Horizon employees (not 3rd party contractors You got a feeling they were going above and beyond to what a local contractor would do. Btw they finished in one day. I would use them again because it was stress free and I didn't have manage the contractor for a job I was paying them to do.

They were on time, efficient and did what they advertised.

They were friendly and helpful. They were courteous.

I called because they advertised - any drain unclogged $99. they set up appointment and arrived on time. The service person was professional and went to basement to clear line. After about 20 minutes he came up and said he couldn't do it and that I needed a plumber. He then called his company and scheduled one of their plumbers for later that day. The plumber looked at it then said I could either put a clean out valve in for$550 or replace the line (approx. 15" of exposed line) for $1,500. He then proceeded to try to sell me a service contract and I felt very pressured. I was not interested in the contract but this talk went on for a while. I decided not to use their service. I felt they were more interested in me signing the service contract than unclogging my drain. I also thought for either option their price was extremely high.. A friend gave me the name of a local plumber, Gildea Plumbing and I called him. He unclogged my drain and put in a clean out valve for $165 and he came on a Saturday.

He told me it was not 100% fixed but that it should work. It did not work at all and leaked even more!

They did good work, they cleaned up well, and were polite. They were prompt.

Water was not staying in the tub and would not properly drain, They didn’t properly fix the drain, and it would not drain properly that left standing water. It was worse off after their work, I wouldn't contact them for plumbing services but their heating and cooling services are great.

Drain was cleared a week prior and then stopped up again the following week.

It was good. They did very well. Price you have to haggle the price, they start with their price and you know you just a little too high and they came down. You have to work them I guess.

The service is good but very pricey. I felt that their prices were more expensive than a regular plumber but it’s easier to get an appointment with them.

They are professional, on time, billing is "A" the only question I would have I think they are pretty high in their product now. They deliver professionalism and installing and their product is an A but I wonder about their price. My air conditioner is fifteen years old I asked him for a price. Last year they gave me a price of $6,7 and $8,000. for a ton a half A/C which I thought was a little high. I haven't had it replaced. I hope I didn't jinx myself. My air conditioner is working fine, I hope it stays that way and hold our for another season. At this point, I don't know for sure, I'll have to do some more checking, but I am going to replace the air conditioner. The heating, air conditioner and oil tank were all put in the same time, May of 1998. If I'm going to replace one I might as well replace everything. Most of their work seems to be a bit high, but they are on time, very professional but you pay for it.

It was good - he was here for maybe two hours. He cleaned up after himself. He told me where he had to cut out the part of the wall to redo the plumbing - I could get a pannel to cover the access hole from Home Depot and I was able to purchase that. The access cover is removable and I can easily get to the back of the shower - allowing for more efficiency if I need to get back there again.

Well, Horizon happened to put a new heating system in the winter before the 5 year old Carrier air conditioning went. We wanted to get estimates from different contractors on the price of fixing the air conditioner. A part of the air conditioner is in the heating unit, so Horizon said no one else could touch their work or their warrantee is null and void. Horizon kept trying to sell us a brand new unit, even though this air conditioner was only 5 years old and parts were under warranty. I had called carrier and asked them if the company was not 100% sure the leak was in the outside coil (which came with a condenser), if they could replace both coils. Carrier said yes. Because Our Warrantee was up at the end of July, we wanted to be sure there were no hidden surprises after the warranty was up. Anyway, they gave us a price of $2150 or something like that. We surely thought that must include the part which was under warrantee. I spoke with a very nice tech about just replacing both coils and basically having a new unit. We both agreed that this is what we were going to do. I signed a barely legible scribble, which I did read the original estimate still stood. To make a long story longer, one tech shows up at the house with no parts. I asked about all the parts and he said it was just the outside coil he was replacing. I was livid and my husband was very busy at work trying to play go between. I was arguing that was not the price we agreed on for the price of both coils and a condenser to be put in. By the way, the unit was not there yet after an hour. Doing the math, this one guy was making over $300 / hr to install the outside coil which he was supposed to do alone. When my husband talked to the manager, he would NOT give my husband an hourly rate for a technician. Nobody knew. It was based on what they could get on each individual job. We went back and forth for hours, the poor tech was caught in the middle, my husband said, no forget it and they turned around and came right back saying my husband DID say it was alright to proceed and they had it on tape ... My husband did not. Whatever. At that point, the next day, we HAD to use Horizon in order to keep the warranty on the heater they installed in place. We paid the money, the air conditioner works fine, the techs were extremely nice, the tech was on time, the parts showed up about an hour later, the salesperson was very personable and pleasant, but the management were words I can't describe here. So, the work was done, it seems to be working well so far, the price was not what we had bargained for, and the management stunk.

I feel they charged us double over what other companies would have charged us. I was told it was a full day's job for two of them and it turned out they were here for 3 hours. The 2nd worker seemed to be learning on the job because he didn’t actually do much. Also, the cost of the materials was next to nothing because they were replacing them with plastic piping. I will never use them again.

I think their customer service has always been top-knotch. They're always friendly and they do a good job. I would recommend them to others.

What they did was fine. They work quality is always good. They’re on-time and clean up well after themselves.

About a week later the AC unit was not functioning properly and I called them back out. They discovered at this second appointment a part needed to be replaced and they were able to replace it on that visit. They did charge me extra for this part and it was inconvenient to have to have them come back out. Then, we would have have them out in November to repair our furnace, but they informed us it would take 2 days to get a service tech out. I called them back after a different company could come out within 20 minutes and they refunded the service contract total. Their professionalism was ok but I got the impression that I wasn’t a very important customer to them.

They did a good job and were on-time. They seemed knowledgeable and cleaned up well after themselves.

They have good quality service, are reliable and show up on-time. They are also courteous and professional.

We did have a problem with our plumbing (we needed a gas line installed) so we called another plumbing company.

The service is good. They always seem to be pretty personable and are very knowledgeable.

I have been using them for several years. They did a good job. I’ve signed maintenance agreements with them in the past so my understanding is that I pay in advance for the annual maintenance. The prices increased significantly this year ($99 for $299) so I have gone with a different company for the cleaning and tuning-up of my ThermoPride Burner. The technicians were polite and professional when they come out. I will not be using them again because they would not negotiate on the price and would have made me pay in advance. I felt this was not professional.

Their workmanship was a little bit above average.

I like their promptness, accessibility, professionalism, and their knowledge. You feel comfortable with them, they come recommended. When we bought our house 13 years ago, we called them and they came out to check it out. They're just very good people. They're available 24/7. When you call, you get a personal phone, you don't get a recording. In fact they just started the service a year ago, they guarantee a window of availability. They'll be there between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. or 1 p.m to 4 p.m., you pick the time, they guarantee they'll be there within that window which was nice.
