Propane Sales Services
This is the second time in a month that we ran out of propane. The first time we could not afford the $75 emergency delivery fee so we were without heat for a very cold week.Just one month later we ran out again. This time our pipes were in danger of freezing so we were forced to pay the "emergency" delivery fee. The driver showed up just a few minutes later. It turns out that he was in the neighborhood anyway. My husband questioned the driver about the guage---noting that if it was accurate, or even somewhat accurate, we would not run out of propane and would not require the added fee for emergency delivery. The driver told him that most of the guages don't work. Well then, just how are we supposed to know when we are near to running out of propane without an accurate guage?
A second issue concerns the installation and initial pressure check of our system. We had a new furnace installed along with several other propane appliances and our house converted to propane at the end of Jan. From the beginning I could swear that I smelled propane whenever the furnace came on. Even throughout the summer months I would often complain of the smell of propane when the A/C came on (the air for the A/C unit runs past the funace). Well, it turns out that we did actually have a leak and it was the very place that the Suburban technician pressure tested our installation. I don't even want to think about how much propane was leaked into our household between Feb 1st and Oct when we had to have a plumber come out and fix Suburban's mess.
Another issue we have with them is that they do not answer their phone. When you call the local number it will ring a few times and then our calls are shuffled to a New Jersey call center. When I'm having an issue with the Chambersburg office I would prefer to deal with the people at the Chambersburg location. But then again, maybe not. When we do finally get to speak to someone at the Chambersburg office they are always rude. It is a lesson in frustraion to have to deal with them.
In all I feel that their customer service is very, very poor. I don't feel like they care about their customers or value us. And I really wish that they would fix the guage on my tanks so that I'm not forced to keep paying for emergency deliveries. I am locked into a two year contract with this nightmare of a company but you can be certain that the very day my contract expires I will have them pick up their tanks and I will find another supplier---maybe someone who cares more about their customer's needs than ripping them off.

Did not use because I need to do some inside work first. Would most likely use in the future.

Fireplace propone suppliers. Charge twice the price per gallon as local suppliers. Maintenance service always seemed to be something they would rather be bothered with. Used them for many years. ....just switched to another company.

Have used them for years. They always arrive at appointed time, do the work efficiently, clean up. They keep our furnace running well.
