Mike came twice. Punctual, Polite, Professional. Couldn't ask for anything more in terms of presentation. Cleaned the chimneys. We had serious problem with one chimney, which he was unsure about. but he came back the following week and fixed it. It was a big deal as, if it couldn't be fixed, we couldn't safely use the fireplace as a wood burning fireplace. He caulked the other chimney and worked very hard trying to get rid of creosote. (We use these fireplaces a great deal). I would recommend this company (HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY). For the work and time on one chimney, he could have charged double what we were charged. It was a bargain!!!!!!

The two workers called to confirm the appointment before they arrived. On worker inspected my chimney from the outside of the house and the other worker conducted his inspection from inside. I was advised that my furnace was improperly installed and too large for my home. I would either need a smaller furnace or chimney reconstruction because the appropriate liner for my large furnace would not fit in my present chimney. Since nothing further could be done, I was not charged for the inspection. I would do business with Alliance again because the workers were prompt, respectful, honest and fair. They clearly explained my situation and gave advice on next steps. Although their advice was valuable, it was kind of them to waive the fee for today's visit.

Mr. McHenery first came two weeks earlier to give an estimate. I was under no pressure to accept his estimate but from his obvious expertise and knowledge I knew I wanted to use Alliance Chimney. They called before coming out to do the job on the 26th. From start to finish it went exceedingly well. Mike and the other two men with him (I can't remember their names) worked for over 4 hours first enlarging the hole for the home's main heating duct in the masonry wall. This procedure took two hours alone. The hole was lined with stainless steel and then a stainless steel insulated liner was placed inside the chimney. The existing chimney cap was replaced along with the clean out cap and venting from the wall to the clean out cap was extended a few inches. The masonry wall was sealed with furnace cement. The team cleaned up afterwards, so I didn't have to do anything. They were very polite and were very patient with answering my questions. I would definitely recommend Alliance Chimney.

I got two estimates, and theirs was the higher one. They were punctual and thorough.

Chuck and his co worker were prompt, got right to work and continued working until the job was done. They were pleasant and answered all my questions. They were neat, no dust, let alone masonry fragments were left; Outside there was no debris around. They kept the door and gates closed to keep my dogs in. The chimney of the wood stove was quickly cleaned with no residual mess.

Spoke to Chuck on the phone and scheduling an appointment was a breeze. The day of the appointment Mike and his partner showed up right on time. He was super friendly and went straight to work. They left the place spotless and explained everything they found during the inspection. We knew from our house inspection that the crown needed to be fixed. We liked Mike so much that we had them come out again to fix the crown. He took pictures of the before and then the after. It was a huge difference and I feel much better that water won't be coming in the chimney anymore. Again, Mike took the time to explain the whole process with me and then again to my husband. We don't use our fireplace and want to eventually have a gas insert. We will be calling on them again when the time comes. One other thing that we appreciated was that Mike took down an old antenna while he was fixing the crown. Just something little that he was more than happy to do.

I was very happy with their work, and with the fact that Alliance was willing to work very hard to make an unconventional request (two liners in one flue) a reality. Even though they had great difficulty pulling down the two new liners past a bend in the flue, they stuck with it. The flue was very long - over 40 feet - and the rubble and debris from the old flue liner filled 20 buckets. The three men worked extremely hard. They had expected to be finished in one day, but it took much longer than they thought and had to spend another half day finishing the job. They were polite and cheerful to the end, lighting my first fire in the new stove. They even took pictures of the top of the chimney where the new liners came out, and of the new Top-Lock mounted on the adjacent flue.

Repairs went very well. My oil company had noticed signs of problems when doing the annual heater maintenance. I consulted Angie's List for a reputable chimney repair company and chose Alliance because of their high scores. They offered free estimates and scheduled a convenient time to meet me to review recommended repairs. The work was scheduled and they arrived on time and with everything required to get the job done. Work was completed on time and quality was excellent. All work areas were left clean and tidy. I was very happy with the results and would recommend them to others.

We had recently moved into a house with a fireplace and wanted the chimney cleaned and inspected. After shopping around we chose Alliance due to a competitive cost and positive reviews. They failed to show up for the first scheduled appointment and then failed to respond to phone calls both on the day they were scheduled to show up and following days in an attempt to rescheduled service. This was after they incessantly contacted us via phone and text message after we made an initial inquiry. I would not use this company, nor recommend them to another customer. We were extremely satisfied with the local chimney sweep from around the corner whom we hired at a slightly higher cost. You get what you pay for!

I was actually very pleased with their services. I liked their manner and professionalism. They provided information to help me ultimately make a decision. I felt very confident in them and I liked dealing with them initially. The price was in line with similar jobs in the past, the estimate for the lining as well. They were neat and clean.

they were e patient with several of the processes that may take some time and had pleasant attitudes. But they really know what they are doing and they knew how to talk to someone who may be learning things for the first time. The installation and the business transactions went very well and nothing got weird or misunderstood. Everything was above board and clear. We paid with a check and we'll see them next year when its time to clean the chimney.

The work was done on time, as scheduled (actually they finished several hours earlier than expected), with no additional costs. The workers were friendly, clean, considerate, and worked around some of our stored items to run the gas line. We have not had any issues for the last 3 months and were extremely happy with the fireplace during Hurricane Sandy. When Sandy caused us to loose power for days, the fireplace kept heat in the whole house with the rooms closest to the fireplace being the warmest. We would highly recommend Alliance Chimney & Energy, Inc. to our fiends and neighbors.

Mike was scheduled to come to my house at 12pm on Sat. He called at 10am saying he finished his last appointment early and gave me the option of him showing up 1 hour earlier, which was perfect. Mike was professional but also friendly. He explained what he was doing and why. It took about 45 min and he was very mindful of not getting my carpets dirty from the soot. Since my husband and I are new homeowners and have not had a fireplace before he gave us some helpful tips and made sure we knew how to operate the tamper.

They cleaned the chimney and sealed the cap for me. The did a thorough job and were very clean. They did this job in a timely manner. Initially it was just going to be cleaning, but I also needed a heavy firelace insert removed as well. They did it all.

Chuck came on time and the job was started (chimney cleaned). When he told us he had the wrong size liner he came back with the correct size, installed the liner and completed the job.
