The place looks GREAT. Workman were professional and helpful if we had questions. Marty Levin (the owner) Returned our call and came out for an estimate. He was knowledgable and in a number of cases saved us money by using many of our existing plants. Once the job was started Marty was out at least once each day to check progress of the job. When we requested changes and additions Marty made sure these items we addressed and the additional costs were very reasonable. After the job was finished Marty came out the next day to make sure we were satisfied and happy. My wife and I were so satisfied that we are already contracting with Marty for leaf removal in November and a spring clean up and general landscape touch up in 2012.

Quality of the work performed by the laborers who came to the house was fine. Was dissatisfied, however, with scheduling and communication. Purchased Angie's List Big Deal coupon end of June. It took six weeks, two phone calls, and two e-mails to the company to get the work scheduled. Job was scheduled for August 18, but canceled due to rain. Rather than show up the next fair weather day, company scheduled a week later for August 25. Laborers showed up and worked about an hour before it started to rain. Assumed they would show up the next day to finish since they had left bush and branch trimmings all over our yard. My wife called the following afternoon when they didn't show and insisted they come out to finish the job. They told her she was being unreasonable, and said they would come out the following week, but finally relented and sent the workers out to finish. They worked another two hours or so and completed most of the jobs on our list before packing up and leaving. The Angie's List Big Deal ended up not being that great of a deal since we didn't really get our full 8 man hours of landscaping service. Probably wouldn't purchase a Big Deal coupon for labor again since it is pay in advance and then wait for the work to get scheduled and completed.

There was some miscommunication at the front end of our relationship with Passionate About Landscaping - however I want to note that upon realizing this - Passionate About Landscaping did everything they could to rectify the situation and they did it so very right that we will not hesitate to use them to lay a back patio and dry well in our yard and do other work with us. Furthermore, we have already recommended them to two other friends on account of the caliber of their work and the professional manner in which they turned a dicey situation of miscommunication into a good working relationship. I wish more businesses made that effort. The crew arrived promptly at 8am and with a phonecall; letting us know they were outside and ready to go if that was OK with us. We met them outside and talked briefly about what we would like done. Two of the crew were already underway removing brush from the backfence as we spoke to the Manager about the plan. As a professional landscaper - I was glad he was forthcoming with some good advice and design ideas. He suggested we clear more of the area around a back corner rockery to build a fire and conversation pit; something we have never considered. Looking back at the weedy- brush covered area, I didn't immediately see the potential, but agreed to clear it up. Once the team was done removing nuisance trees with shovels, pickaxes and a good deal of elbow grease, a beautiful backyard space was revealed - tucked away and offering some privacy. Soon sketches were done about how we can arrange it in the future with low voltage lighting and complimentary flowers and decorative plants. We're already looking at design ideas for building a stone firepit. Once the new space was cleared, the team went to work on the next side of our tiered lot - the downward sloped area full of poison ivy, weeds and other nuisance shrubs leading to our neighbours yard. They hand-pulled weeds, banded off ivy, yanked up more nuisance trees and structured the bushes and shrubs that remained so that looked very nice. Our neighbors were as amazed as we were as the unmaintained area they had looked at for years was transformed into something awesome and appropriate to the over all look and feel of our neighborhood. The crew, with the neighbors permission, cleared up any leaves and debris that fell during the cleanup process; so very conscientious. Next they worked on the front yard - weeding beds, structuring azaleas and removing deadwood. They edged all of the beds to trim them up, and removed an excess of mulch that had been left around a Japanese maple and two blue pines in the front yard. They cleared up a drainage channel that moves water out of our tiered, downslope lot and reset some drainage rock. They trimmed over-hanging plants and removed vines. Finally, they cleaned up the front walk, blew all the leaves out of the driveway, lawn and beds and took every bit of debris with them. We found the manager and crew thoroughly professional, skilled, helpful and conscientious throughout. The crew were also very kind to our black lab - who popped outside unintentionally a few times while they worked. Since the crew worked on our yard, we have walked outside several times uttering a series of and quot;Wowsand quot; at the transformation of our outdoor space. We do recommend them.

We needed our lawn mowed and a price on clearing out an overgrown corner of the yard. The owner was out at our house within 24 hours to give us an estimate. He was very helpful and took the time to explain our options. We decided to hire them to mow the lawn and they were at our house within 2 hours for the first mowing and did a nice job with it.

I quickly received a return phone call and was able to schedule an estimate for the following day. The two representatives arrived on-time and had several interesting ideas for how to improve my landscape (they are obviously passionate about landscaping). I was told that the work would require approximately 1 1/2 days (at a quote of $1500/day). While I thought that to be a bit steep, I was excited about the changes that were suggested. Although there was no written estimate/contract, I was told that the work would be performed within the next three weeks. However, after three weeks had elapsed with no work completed or communication, I called to check on the status of the project. I was told that although there were some unforeseen delays with other projects, mine would be completed by the end of the week. Again, no one showed up to do the work. I called to cancel the work and was told that the high temperatures added further delay to the schedule, which was understandable, yet I would have appreciated more communication to stay informed about the status of the project.

They were good and they gave a good estimate. I liked them and they were my second choice. We went with another company because they had better price and he had more pictures. They were friendly and on time. They had a lot of good ideas.

I was not satisfied with them. They promised one thing and delivered another. Initially my interaction with them was great. But, then trying to get them resolve it left a lot to be desired. At that time, I thought that the price was reasonable.

Overall it was the best experience we have ever had with a landscaper. I am never one to give anyone a perfect 10 but Marty was absolutely worth it. He was always on time, courteous and so knowledgable about plants in our region. He listened to everything that we said and the garden turned out more beautiful than we could have imagined. If you are looking for someone who loves what they do, cares about what you want, considerate of your budget and time then Marty is perfect for you. Thanks Marty, we'll call you in the spring for some more projects!

My yard was a mess. My beds were overgrown with weeds, the grass was burnt and dying, the trees and bushes overgrown, crowded and ugly. The team of Passionate About Landscaping has overcame my expectations by doing more than they promised and saving a lot of money by using existing stones and plants within my property. My place now looks beautiful and in future I will only entrust my property maintenance to the hands of Passionate About Landscaping.

It was very good. I don’t have any complaints and I will continue to use them.
