My first contact with them must have been about 2009. My old car failed completely, after having been worked on repeatedly by another shop, and having to be redone time after time. Then I saw an ad for Wilsonville Auto Care and decided to try them. Boy, what a find!
They checked out my old car, told me what was wrong and how much it would take to put it running again, but then said that so many other things were bad or going bad that they advised I sell it and get a newer car. So they fixed the computer on it so it would run, told me what to ask for it, and how and where to market it. They gave me advice on what to look for and where, and where not, to look (never on 82nd in Portland). They answered with patience and good humor the many calls I made to ask what about this and what about that, model vs. make, etc. I think they thought I could have done better on the one I picked, but I liked it best, and anyway, their mechanical review on it passed with flying colors.
Then I've had only a few occasions to take my car in since, but on my referral my brother and his family are using them regularly with their several cars and are very happy with them, and an older friend of mine, also. I have had them do a lube and oil, but I usually do Oil Can Harry's. Then I found out that they do brakes and front end. No more Schwab for me! So now my car is in for diagnosis of front end trouble. I think it needs more than an alignment, I think there's something loose in there. But I trust what they tell me and I trust their work.
And most of all, they are a joy to work with. Good-hearted, good-humored, giving people, both Rick and Mike. I'd trust them with anything. So even though I don't know how this particular call will work out, I wanted to get this down while I could. I guess I could always amend it if I need to, but I can't imagine that I would. Good guys = good shop.
