+ -1 moreThey came out to give an estimate for the work and they came in below the estimate. They cleaned up after themselves. They were careful of my yard. They used the existing hardware. I would use them again in the future if needed.
Description of Work: The last time I used Royal Gutters was for them to repair and re-attach gutters that had been removed to paint the house.

+ -1 moreTheir estimate was slightly less than another company, and they also came by the house to do the estimate for free, which the other company was not willing to do. Our only small complaint was that they were slow to return phone calls.
Description of Work: Snow and ice knocked a gutter off our house and bent another. Royal Gutter replaced the broken gutter and replaced a dented downspout. After we scheduled the work, we noticed the bent gutter, which they repaired at no additional charge.

+ -1 moreIt should be obvious from above that I was impressed w/ his professionalism, responsiveness, expertise, and unwillingness to charge me for repairs that really weren't necessary. Certainly when we get around to replacing the gutters he'll be the first company we call and I'll recommend him to others too.
Description of Work: After having my house painted last summer I noticed that a few of my gutters appeared to be leaking. I assumed it was from the ladders leaning against them, etc. I left a voicemail for Royal Gutters and they called me back promptly (w/in a day). I described the two areas of concern and because we couldn't coordinate schedules they simply dropped by my house one afternoon when I was not available to evaluate the problem from the ground level. They then emailed me with a bid of $150 for some minor repairs. I asked if that would include cleaning the gutters if needed and they said yes. They were a few weeks out from putting me on the schedule, but called a couple of days before they were available to coordinate a time, which again proved difficult w/ my schedule but they were very accomodating and said they'd give me a call the morning of. Which they did. Before I was able to get home Vitali had already leveled the gutters (or at least determined they were level) and re-attached a loose drainpipe. He determined that otherwise things were fine--the end caps had a few drips but that the time it would take to clean and reglue those was really not worth the money--he was happy to do the work, but he didn't think it necessary. He simply suggested that at some point in the distant future (5-10 years) I consider replacing all the gutters. He ended up only charging me $20 ('gas money")

+ -1 moreI called Royal Gutters, and was told that they could respond to replace my gutters and down-spouts in a week. I mentioned that I had an urgent need for NEXT DAY SERVICE (I was expecting a home appraisal, and wanted my 30-year old gutter system replaced to aid in the assessment of my home). The voice on the phone was calm and cordial. He took the information on my home, and estimated the amount of gutter materials they would need to bring for the job. I was then given an estimate for the job. Even though they needed a bit more gutter feet than thought, they kept within their estimate. I asked for next day service, and they complied. The fellows were courteous and hard-working. The job was completed in less than 3 hours, and my gutters are beautiful! They hauled away the old gutters and down-spouts, and left my place clean. I am VERY PLEASED with Royal Gutters!!
Description of Work: Replaced my (30 year old) gutters and down-spouts with optimally larger gutters, and gutters that "tilt."

+ -1 moreWe called the Royal Gutter comp. on Monday and they came by on the same day, since they were in the area. They said it will cost $180.00 and they will come on Friday to do the job. They showed up kind of late on Friday; it started to get dark, but they put it up with lights and we are glad it is done. I wish the color would be darker, but Toni said, they did not have a more matching one to the rest of the gutters. We feel they did a good job and we would hire them again.
Description of Work: Replaced gutter on the back of the house.

+ -1 moreThe estimator arrived on time. He discussed our problem areas with me and suggested solutions. The installers came while I was at work on the day promised. I had a couple questions afterward. I called them about and all was explained to me.
Description of Work: New gutters were installed on our new deck and on the house over our new deck. Bigger downspouts were installed at the back of the garage and another problem existing gutter. After the first rain there was a small leak. They fixed the leak and adjusted the routing of the gutter that drained onto our garage roof.

+ -1 moreI was going to have them come and do an estimate for me on the gutter--but for some reason the representative never showed up for the appointment we made at an specific timeframe. When I followed up with the company, the person who I spoke with said it was a really busy time of year for the company and that the company would check their schedule and follow up. I have no knowledge about the quality of the company's work, but I do know that I felt a little bit like I was brushed off after that phone call. The complaint I have is that I felt the company showed a lack of manners from not showing up for the scheduled appointment and also from not contacting me to state why and to reschedule.
Description of Work: I was looking for someone to repair a gutter problem I was having at my home.

+ -1 moreTony came out and gave a quote. He said it would be three weeks before he could do the job. Two weeks had passed and he called to tell me he was too busy, but that he would sub the work to a partner. His partner was prompt and in and out. He came at 8 and was done by 10.
Description of Work: They rehung some gutters that were not done correctly by the original contractor.

They were open to receiving payment via Bill Pay and let me know when the job was complete. I felt the pricing was fair given the job involved.

+ -1 moreOverall, things went well. The crew who came out did a great job. They gave us our quote, which was reasonable, and since the other company we called never called us back we decided to go with Royal Gutters. When I called to set up a time for them to come out I was surprised that my phone call took a couple of days to return! I was beginning to think all gutter companies didn't like returning phone calls. I'm really not sure what happened, but once they did return my call they were able to come out the following week. The crew came when expected and like I said everything turned out great. I will use them again when the rest of our gutters rust out!
Description of Work: They replaced some rusty gutters and downspouts and secured a couple of gutters that were loose.

+ -1 moreI had a standing seam metal roof put on my porch and needed a new gutter to match. I called several places, but all said they had a $250 minimum. I called Royal, and they said they would do it for $160. I then decided to have a matching gutter placed on one side of the garage that is visible from the front of the house. They were able to do the work within days of my calling, even though they had to custom order the gutters. The crew arrived on a hot, late afternoon, set up shop and had the job completed quickly and efficiently. They were able to come very close to a color match. I am absolutely pleased with the results. The crew was fun to work with, and I would hire them again!

+ -1 moreIt went very well, stopped by several times to consult with me on what can be done with the gutters on the house, as they are specially built into the walls. He brought samples and spent time to try out and discuss different solutions. The work was done all in one day.
Description of Work: Custom fit new 6k gutters into old framing, paint and tar to protect wood where needed, remove and re-attach old flashing. Add extra downspouts and replace pipe. Add screens.

+ -1 moreI was going to be in town for only a week and needed this work done before turning house over to renters. I called on a Friday and set up an appointment for an estimate on the following Wed. Tony showed up (after calling to say he would be an hour later than originally agreed--I appreciated the call) and made an estimate in about 5 minutes. He came back two days later with 3 helpers and they completed the job in less than 3 hours and charged me less than his original bid. They did an excellent job, took away all the removed material, and cleaned up completely.
Description of Work: Replaced damaged gutter and downspout along rear of house, and gutter & downspout along one side of garage that were functioning poorly, about 75' total.

What I really appreciated is that they gave me a color choice, because the gutters are all painted to match trim color on the house. They found a perfect match (I never expected to be that lucky) and... they didn't charge extra for the color. Work was scheduled within the week and it looks wonderful.
Description of Work: Removed existing inadequate section and added a new, longer gutter, attaching to existing downspout which I wanted to keep. Hauled away all old materials.

It only took a few minutes for him to determine cost based on the size of our home. Our house is 2 story with 3 stories along two sides. We set up an appointment for the next week. The crew arrived a couple hours late from their previous job. I would have appreciated a phone call earlier to alert us to that fact. When they arrived, the three men worked diligently for about 2-3 hours. They were courteous and professional.
Description of Work: Royal Gutters inspected gutters and determined that they needed cleaning. Tony did not suggest that any gutters needed replacing.

They provided a written estimate with a diagram of the work to be done which convinced us that they had taken the time to look at our existing conditions carefully. Tony explained some key differences in products which were helpful for us to be aware of and make decisions. Once we asked them to complete the job, they were here the next working day. They helped us make sure we had good connections to a dry well we had installed. They had a team of 4 or so folks and plenty of tool and supplies on hand to alter their work a bit for additional needs we had.
Description of Work: Royal Gutters installed 9 downspouts, a gutter on the garage and 3 clean outs.

+ -1 moreI think they did a great job. I got their number off of Angie's List. I read on here that they do not return phone calls or something. Yes, I also left him a message and they only got back to me a day later. But contractors have a life too. They said they get a lot of phone calls with people just "shopping around" and delays actual customers from getting attention. Overall I don't see anything to complain about.
Description of Work: I called Royal Gutters to schedule an estimate, they came out and gave a price of $720. I told them to go ahead. They came out when scheduled and did the work. They gave me discount for work that was estimated but did not need replacing because it was in good condition. Also, I paid them on the spot and they gave me 5% off more, so it ended being $600 total.
