Mark is the best subcontractor I have ever worked with. Goes out of his way to help from the smallest little project to a large complete remodel. Always fair and completely honest.Also a very pleasant young man and knowlegeable about almost all areas of remodeling.He is my go to guy for any project I am involved in.

We chose Mark's Construction based on excellent reviews on Angie's List and a clean track record with the Construction Contractors Board. His bid was prompt and competitive. He told us when he could start and when he would finish and he did exactly what he said he would do. He identified some additional work that needed to be done and completed it at no additional charge. The work was part of a real estate transaction. When it was complete the buyer was happy, the seller was happy, the home inspector was happy and the appraiser was happy. I would not hesitate to call him again. Thank you Mark.

The siding looks great and blends well with the existing siding. Because of all the rain we had this year Mark had to wait until there was a break in the weather to paint. The break did not last long enough. It needs another coat and he will be back to do so in June. He is very responsive and professional. I would differently use him again. Mark gave us an estimate the day after we called him. We also got two other estimates. Mark was the lowest. Because of the excellant reviews he had on Angie's list we decided to go with him and are happy we did.

It went great for me. The guy who owned the company came and did the initial estimate. His price was better than the other bids that I got. He told me when it would be ready and called me a couple of days in advance. His crew showed up on time and did the job.

No problems, Mark oversaw the work but the subcontractors were great, very professional. Work was done quickly and was done as expected. I would use this company again and will recommend it too!

The work done by them was very good and I am very pleased with them. The owner had a problem with his schedule and so he ended up coming on a Sunday just to accommodate me. It was very impressive and I was happy with that. I would use his services in the future too.

From start to finish Mark provided excellent customer service. His crew was polite and always on time. They worked very hard, never wasted time. They did an excellent job putting up the siding and the trim and we are very happy with the out come. We will paint the house this summer.

We have done an earlier report on Mark's Construction a few years ago when he did our siding and house painting. We were pleased with his work then, and continue to be happy with the overall results of this large job. Mark had a number of subcontractors for this job, and we were likewise pleased with their work. Mark worked with us to find solutions to unexpected challenges and kept us informed on the status of the project throughout. His pricing is fair; the only changes to the cost were the result of our own changes, additions, or upgrades to the original bid.

Great - he kept me informed about his search for the correct color siding (it took a while) sent me a corrected bill and saved me money by using part of the siding he removed to make another section of the repair. I was very satisfied. He also said he can do other work that I will need in the spring, and I will not hesitate to call him to do it.

We heard horror stories about contractors. For that reason, we had several bids based on Angie's list recommendations (and we found that several contractors in the remodel section lack remodeling experience). We loved the design by another designer/contracter, but the other contractor's bid was double what Mark bid: a difference of $45,000.. (Mark doesn't do design and can recommend an architect.) The basement was a total remodel from 4 bare walls to a large bedroom and bathroom, storage rooms, and laundry room. The kitchen remodel was extensive with the removal of a mudroom and kitchen nook. The final cost was right on the estimate after adjustments that we added. He does beautiful work and hires first-class subcontractors. Mark did extra workmanship to create more storage area. Since I work at home, scheduling was not an issue. Sometimes, we would have liked more communication. It is hard to believe that we had such a beautiful remodel at a fraction of the cost of the other bids. We recommend him highly.

Mark gave me an estimate the same day I called him. The estimate was very reasonable and although he was booked for 8 weeks in advance was able to work me in so I could get my house listed for sale. His work was extremely good and Mark was very good at the little details that made the job look complete and professional. He was very quick in completing the work and completed clean-up at the end of his work.

While having our house painted we discovered termite damage. Mark was the only person willing to come out and make this repair within 2 days allowing us to continue with the painting. He was on time, professional and left no mess.

Mark arrived promptly as he'd said by 9am on the two days of work. The studs were replaced and ready for inspection by Monday afternoon. Once the inspector gave the go ahead on Tuesday morning, the side of the house was fixed up by the afternoon. The work was done professionally and punctually. Clean up was also included as well as repair work on the sheet rock which got damaged when the old studs were pulled out. Mark was courteous and friendly. He was also extremely prompt in returning my calls and it was easy contacting him; either by phone or by email.

Mark was excellent to work with. He was very responsive to our concerns and always addressed issues in a manner that met our needs. He was courteous, kept the work area as clean ands possible. His subs were all very good, especially the tile installer. The work area was VERY tight and Mark did all he could to gain us space whenever possible by moving ducts and reworking framing. The wood trim he installed was good, but not great in the he end (I would have preferred a little higher quality.) All in all, we were very pleased with the result and would recommend Mark for his professionalism and attention to client needs.

Mark agreed to drive over and give us a bid, which he promptly did. Mark arrived on the agreed upon date to start the work. He was very friendly, professional, and efficient. Mark and his crew cleaned up before leaving the work site at the end of the job. We will recommend Mark's Construction and Remodeling to our friends.

They were punctual and very professional. Removed material was taken away in several trips. New Jumbo Tex paper was applied followed by the Hardi-Plank fiber cement siding. New exterior corners were installed, and everything caulked. A cat door was re-trimmed. Exterior light fixtures were removed and replaced in good order. Painting was delayed slightly because of another job and weather. Product was S.W. Super Paint. Result is great.

I was satisfied with his work, his response time was slow. He was fast and efficient when working though.

Pick up, phone immediately, stay communicating ,was on time ,acted professional, look what is good for us at this point not how to make a money. We were impressed. We are going to do major reconstruction to the house in a near future and will definitely contact him.

Mark provided a quote to finish my basement in June 2008. It took me a couple of months to make a decision, but based on references and the quote, I called Mark to discuss the bid in more detail, make some final changes and schedule the job. He was not responsive to my calls, but he had good references so I thought he was busy finishing a job (as he had indicated earlier). Due to his schedule, he told me he was going to start my job the last week of October. I called Mark at the end of October to confirm the start date and he let me know that he was going on vacation and that he would start November 6th and would call on the 5th to review some final issues. I have not heard from Mark since our conversation at the end of October. I left three messages the first week in November and no response. It has now been two weeks with no response. I have started the bidding process over.

Mark listened well when he came to give us a bid, and made small suggestions throughout the project. He e-mailed us a bid promptly, and gave us an approximate start date when we committed to the job. The job started when he said it would, and the removal of the old siding and installation of the new went amazingly fast. We had about a week and a half break between the installation and the painting,which Mark had informed us about ahead of time, and he returned to finish the job when he said he would. We are very pleased with Mark's work and with his professionalism and promptness. He is without a doubt the best contractor we have ever worked with.

This project was a last minute decision made about a week before our house was to be painted, and to take it on and complete it under these circumstances during the busiest part of the season says a lot for Mark, his team, and their high level of professional service. Mark came out to bid the job very promptly, took measurements, and provided us with many helpful insights. Leo, the team lead, then executed the job with speed and precision. The workers were prompt and friendly, completing the job in under two days, and did a nice job of cleaning up after each visit. The finished project looks great and I'm confident it will add a much greater level of protection and value, not to mention good looks, to our home.

I have used Mark's Construction before and it's the "BEST ONE STOP SHOPPING" experience I've had. It saved me a ton of time, since he has a lot of great contacts. His plumber, electrian and heating contractor did a great job. The best part was when he would meet the inspector from the city, and was able to get things ok'd to proceed. I meet them once and it was a joke, I called mark and he was able to talk w/inspector and get things cleared so we could continue work. We did get delayed on some items, but that is to be expected if you have ever done any remodeling. Such as the carpet I picked out was going to take 4 weeks to get, but Mark sent me to his flooring source and we were able to have carpet installed 3 days later it looked awesome and was cheaper. Since the house was vacant it was a little easier to get this job done. In the end I was so pleased it was really hard to sell this darling home, but I felt great knowing the new buyers were getting a top notch home.

So far, Mark has provided and estimate and will start the work this week. He came to review the project, asked a lot of questions, gave us a few ideas, and was very professional and on time. His bid was competitive (though not the cheapest) and we selected him to do the work. We had four other contractors take a look at the project. We were looking for someone who would focus on our project and could start reasonably soon and Mark could do both.
