Description of Work: Removed existing siding and installed new Hardie Plank siding, which came pre-painted from the factory. There was a lot of trim to paint, as not all trim pieces came pre-painted. The crew also tore down our old deck and built a new composite deck which we're very pleased with. They were punctual and worked with us every step of the way, and we're just so pleased with the completed project.

It was a pleasure working with [member names removed] as we completely transformed the exterior of their home with the new HZ5 Color Plus Hardie Plank panel. The new bevelled edge of the HZ5 panel perfectly replicates cedar siding and gives the home amazing shadow lines. Because of the superior look of the new HZ5 panel we are now using it on all of our Hardie Plank projects. It looks great and [member names removed] certainly love the look of their new HZ5 Hardie Plank siding.
Gino the owner is exceptional responsible and responsive. He provided the bid promptly and in great detail, allowing us to fully understand the scope of the proposed work. He communicated well with our general contractor, who was very impressed with the professionalism of LRS and the quality of their work. The work crew (Jose and Leo) were true craftsman. They worked long days, always left the site clean and tidy, and communicated well with us and our general contractor. They made complex repairs to window trim and siding that were all but invisible and the siding was installed perfectly. As an example of LRS and Gino's responsiveness, he pulled a crew from another job one day to get all our weather resistant barrier installed when a rain storm was approaching after an extended dry spell. We cannot recommend LRS too highly. Thank you Gino, Jose and Leo.
Description of Work: Lifetime Remodeling Systems (LRS) did a complete exterior restoration on our 3-story 1919 Dutch Colonial. Prior owners had made non-historic alterations, including overlaying bat and board siding and cutting window trim in that process. LRS did the deconstruction, adhering meticulously to required lead safety standards. Following installation of wall insulation (by another company), LRS installed a high quality weather resistant barrier-rain screen combination (Hydogap), then restored the damaged trim and replaced the siding with historically correct cedar lap board. This was a large project as there are 58 windows and 3 stories.

Our experience with Lifetime Remodeling was excellent! It started with Ralph's presentation of his plan for our job, which was very detailed, including samples of the house wrap and the siding that they would install. We were impressed with the company's reputation in the community for quality workmanship. When the crew arrived we were very happy that they were pleasant to speak with and were very clean, including sweeping and straightening everything every night. I would highly recommend Lifetime for any siding work.

I really enjoyed the entire process of working with the [Removed member's name]. They thoroughly researched several contractors and then chose their top three candidates to give them a bid. Based on our 18 year track record, national awards, referral job addresses so they could see our work and Guild Quality and Angie's List reports they chose us. Their results were what they expected, the best siding job available on the West Coast. The folks that thoroughly do their research and select their contractor based on history and track record are the homeowners that will always be rewarded with the best work. Again I want to thank the [Removed member's name] for taking the time to find us.

My home exterior makeover on my 1908 home looks amazing! After meeting with 8 different contractors, all ranked highly on Angies list, meeting with Gino was like a breath of fresh air. He didn't talk down to me (I'm a single female homeowner that's done a lot of the interior's renovation on my own) and wasn't at all cheesy sales pitchey. It was also clear that he wasn't just a sales guys, but also well versed in the details of the steps it would take to re-roof, re-side, paint, and all of the other details. What was really unique was that he clearly had an eye for design. I hadn't fully hashed out all of the design details and he had some really great design suggestions that suited my 1908 dutch colonial home's style. THAT is something I hadn't seen in any of the other contractors at all. Everything that was in the original work order was done on time and looks amazing. Neighbors and passer-bys have left notes telling me how great the exterior renovation turned out. Its so nice to come home to a house where I don't have to worry about shingles flying off for another 50 years or the old 1970's siding that was falling apart. Oh, and that "house proud" feeling, yeah, I've got it now. It feels really good to pull up to the house. I definitely recommend their work and Gino's excellent project management and customer service. Towards the end I added on a couple of new things in a new work order. By then the warm weather started and the economy became really good for renovations. Like I mentioned, the original work order was completed on time and is perfect. The add ons got a bit lost between what sounded like a number of other projects. I had to call a few times to get it wrapped up but he gave a discount to make up for it.

I want to personally thank [member name remove] for taking the time to let others know just exactly the kind of company Lifetime Remodeling Systems is. Were not just a siding company, far from it. To hisorically reconstruct the exterior of a home that's 107 years old takes a tremendous skill set from our installers. They're working with out of square windows and doors, sagging roof lines, dry rot, out of code wiring and a host of other issues associated with 100 year old homes. Our installers have won more national awards for the quality of their work than any other siding company in either Oregon or Washington, were also currently one of only two "Elite Hardie Plank" installers. Most companies when they see 100 year old homes run the other way, Lifetime Remodeling Systems instead embraces the challenge. We currently have over 400 homes that we have historically restored over the past 18 years and everyone of them carries our exclusive "Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty." Again I want to thank Naomi for her kind words and want her to know that we have just as much pride in here beautifully restored 107 year old home as she does.

Company owner Ralph promptly answered my initial inquiry and met with me within 2 days. He has a good sales pitch, but his company followed through on absolutely everything, as promised. We had to wait weeks for the siding to arrive from the factory, but I was told that up front. I was given plenty of notice of when the work would actually start, and workers arrived when they said they would. Alberto M. was in charge of the job, and he is an excellent craftsman. Alberto was friendly and went out of his way to make sure the work was done right and that I was happy with the results. He put a lot of time into making sure the original wood trim on my old house was properly prepped and painted. It looks awesome!
Description of Work: Lifetime Remodeling Systems safely removed lead-paint cedar shakes from my 1910 bungalow and replaced it with Hardieplank lap siding. They also sided my detached one-car garage. This job entailed A LOT of prep and paint work.

Working with [Removed member's name] on her historical home project was very satisfying. Alberto, one of our best installers, came up with some excellent ideas such as basket weaving the corners instead of using corner boards to respect the architectural integrity of the period when the home was built in 1910. I want to personally thank [Removed member's name] for taking the time to let other Angie's List members know the kind of historical restoration work that we do. Now [Removed member's name] has the most beautiful home on her street and it looks the same as it did 104 years ago when it was first built.
Where do I begin? Lifetime Remodeling Systems (LRS) is THE BEST CONTRACTOR EVER! From day one this process was easy, worry free and stress free. From the moment I hired the company I felt confident in my choice and every day they came and worked reinforced that feeling. My house looks simply amazing. The greatest compliment we received from a neighbor was "It doesn't look like you had anything done." Meaning the house looks like it should when it was built back in 1925. There were about five guys assigned to the house on the first day, removing the asbestos siding that had been the bane of our existence since we moved in. Not only was the asbestos completely removed the first day, but half of the cedar siding was also removed. After the first day we had two guys working full-time everyday, removing siding, installing the insulation and installing the James Hardie siding. The house looked amazing, even without paint. I can't say enough good things about Fausto and Alfredo, they did an absolutely amazing job, paying attention to every detail. The job wasn't without the required snags, like finding knob and tube wiring where there shouldn't have been knob and tube, but once the issue was fixed the job proceeded with little interruption. Jodi installed our windows, and again this required some creativity to fit the new fancy windows into the old wood shell. One window casing had to be completely rebuilt and after completion looks 100 times better than it did. The paint crew was last, and I have to say I was shocked to come home from work one night and find that they had scrubbed 30+ years of grime off my gutters by hand, because they needed to paint them. Who hand washes gutters? LRS does! My husband and I couldn't be happier, the house looks stunning and I love coming home every night and seeing my house like it's the first time every time. The colors are perfect, the windows are exactly what we wanted and the siding brings back all the craftsman charm that was robbed from it when one of the previous owners installed asbestos siding. Before we had the outside remodeled, we had considered moving, but instead opted to have the remodel and I am so glad we did. I can't say enough good things about LRS; I will be singing their praises for years to come. My only regret is not doing this sooner. We have yet to have cold enough weather to test out the new insulation, but since we had absolutely none before I have high expectations.
Description of Work: Removed asbestos siding and properly disposed of, removed cedar siding and disposed of, insulated all exterior walls, removed 90 year old single pane glass windows, installed all new Milgard Vinyl Tuscany windows, installed hydrogap barrier, installed James Hardie siding, and painted with a three-color scheme.

I want to thank (member name removed) for taking the time to write this wonderful review and let all the other Angie's List members know about the quality of work that we do. When we started work on Sharon's 90 year old historic home it was certainly in need of a complete and total makeover. We had to deal with asbestos siding, lead paint and a home that overtime had settled making the window an door openings out of square. We completely redid all the window trim and added new sills along with all the other work that she describes in her review. It was all designed to look the same way it would have looked when it was first constructed way back in 1925. When you look at the home it's like going back in time as your now seeing what a new home would have looked like 90 years ago. We've been doing historic restoration for the past 18 years and have resurrected 100's of old homes that were in dire need of repair. Again I want to thank Sharon and know that she will enjoy her beautiful historic home for as long as she lives there.

They began ahead of schedule. The entire crew: Abraham, Eric, Rogelio, can't spell all their names but your know who you are, and of course, Scott and Ralph, were friendly, concerned about representing their company well with the work they did. We taught our four sons to leave a job, any job, better than they found it. I can honestly say that this house is better now than when we moved in 19 years ago. We were the first owners then and we feel like *new* home owners now. I. Love. My. *new* House!

They seemed to do the bulk of the work competently, but towards the end there were several quality control issues. At least a couple of employees did not perform their duties with quite adequate professionalism. For example, the installation of the new siding caused some of the interior trim of some windows to stick out inside the house; I had to explain to them for which windows and what part of the trim needed to be pounded back into the wall on about 4 separate occasions before they actually took care of it. Also, it took them three attempts and feedback twice by us before they finally filled all the holes in the roof they had to make to anchor the scaffolding. Additionally, the person initially taking care of the punch list did not do all of the tasks pointed out; somebody else had to finished them up later. Further, one of the exterior storm windows they reinstalled fell off later and shattered; they replaced it when informed and apparently checked that the rest of those exterior storm windows were securely in place. We did not know how long the project would take; we just got some too-optimistic projections. The crew that did most of the work did stick to the days scheduled, Monday through Saturday, but sometimes worked as much as a couple of hours past the scheduled hours, like till about 7 p.m. on one Saturday. I was stressed out wondering if I caught all their mistakes. That said, they eventually fixed everything that we complained about and gave us a restaurant gift certificate and did some extra work to compensate us for the trouble.
Description of Work: Replaced all of the siding and six windows, installed insulation in the exterior walls, and painted most of the house, including the new siding. As extra work free of charge, they replaced some wooden railing and did some extra painting.

I Was very impressed with Lifetime Remodeling Systems from the first consultation to the final day of the job, which only took 7.5 days. Ralph Streano (owner) showed up exactly when he said, super prepared with samples of all the materials, siding, wrap, nails, paint, as well as a ton of before and after photos and referrals of other jobs. He did such a good job explaining everything I think I could have done the job myself. His crew, Alberto and his 2 assistants, the same crew every day, unlike some other companies who send different people everyday, showed up early, worked like robots in the hot sun and didn't stop until 7pm, at that time Alberto walked me around the house with full updates, keeping my wife and I fully up to speed from day 1 until job end. Also, they were very patient, we changed our minds a few times on color schemes on trim and doors, they were very happy to return paint for another color, never rushing us the work quality was top notch, at the end of each day they cleaned up like they were never there, and at the end of the job they detailed out my yard, leaving it better then they found it. Easy to see Lifetime Remodeling Systems prides it self on superior performance, excellent results and thrilled customers. One more thing, my spoiled rotten 5 year old Shar-Pei who doesent really trust or like anybody invading her space, surprisingly, enjoyed supervising this project, she was sad to see them leave, and everybody knows what a great judge of character dogs are.Would I hire them again? Absolutly. I am very confident that this HZ5 and the professional installation will hold up to any weather.

I don?t think a PAGE of Happiness on Angie?s List is befitting for this contractor. I think an entire CHAPTER of Happiness would be more appropriate? Lifetime Remodeling Systems (LRS) is a top-notch organization. From the start, my wife & I were dealt with in a professional, respectful and courteous manner. We are perfectionists and tend to drive contractors batty with our methodical approach and attention to detail. But when I?m spending $31k+, I want to make sure we get the job done right. In short, it was, and then some. We most definitely got our money?s worth. From the top down, this organization is very professional, from the owner to the workers that were at our house every day. Ralph Streano (owner and long-time installer) presented an expert?s front end on the sales pitch, and he was careful to explain all that we needed and exacting in his measurements. He personally visited our house several times throughout the project to check that we were satisfied. His bid was in the middle of those we received from the top three siding vendors listed on Angie?s List, but it was his sales pitch, knowledge and attention to detail that landed him the job. Also, the final bill was exactly what he?d originally presented. Scott Herndon (general manager) was friendly and knowledgeable, and although I didn?t have daily contact with him, he completely answered all questions I had. No issues were ever dodged. Ismael (foreman & installer) and Alphonso (installer) were onsite every day, never late, showed up when they said they were going to, did not smoke, always cleaned up after themselves, were relatively quiet (as much as pulling nails and pounding on the house can be), did not spill paint in the yard or on concrete surfaces, and never shouted or cursed or played loud music. We had very specific instructions regarding the back upper deck, and they followed those instructions perfectly. After checking with us first, they even worked a Saturday to get more work done. Most importantly, they were thorough and paid attention to detail. Alphonso has a strong but delicate hand, great for painting tough areas where we didn?t want paint transferred onto other surfaces. Ismael often spotted areas for correction/follow-up before I did; out of a list of 40 little things, he knew about all except one, a very hard-to-see edge that had not been caulked. As a self-admitted perfectionist, I was impressed. Together, Ismael and Alphonso listened and implemented our requests. In particular, when there was more than one way to do something, they would seek us out to ask which we preferred, listing the pros and cons of each approach; I have rarely seen this behavior in contractors. They were thorough in many details, making sure: (a) to tack the HydroGap (water barrier) around corners and itself with sufficient overlap; (b) to properly flash all of our windows & doors; (c) to maintain an even 7? reveal around the house; (d) to NOT seal the seams between HardiePlank boards with caulk but back them with a water-repellent material; (e) to be careful around trees, shrubs and plants; and (f) to properly install the architectural blocks for faucets and outdoor lighting. Several houses in our neighborhood have inferior installation in one or more of these areas; not ours! Here?s one example of their quality craftsmanship (from a list of many). Our house is large at 3-stories (plus another 6? tall area under the house), 4000+ sq.ft., with a footprint of roughly 40? x 40?. They used an old-world method for making sure the HardiePlank ran level around the entire perimeter of the house: a 50? water level (more accurate than a laser level over long distances). By the time they?d returned to the starting corner after 3 weeks and 160? of linear installation, the siding was off by only 1/8th of an inch. Simply put, that?s amazing. They did extra things for us. For instance, Ismael helped me straighten a leaning apple tree; Ralph had them paint our front door, even though that was not part of the original deal; Ismael smoothed the seams of several poorly installed foundation boards with a Bondo-like material before they were painted; they cut and installed wood to block out a bird?s nesting area; and they hid several cables along or under the siding that had been installed since the house was originally built. Through my 25 years of hiring contractors to work on our various homes and rental houses, I have never met an organization so tuned to the client?s satisfaction. Most significantly, the honest worth of a man or organization is NOT how flawless he/they perform their duties, because no one is perfect (hard as I might try myself). No, the true worth in a person or company is how well they respond when things go wrong. If someone tells you ?nothing went wrong; they were perfect!?, then they?re either lying to you or they haven?t looked hard enough at the end result. To be honest, we had a few things go wrong, but they were all minor and all were repaired to our satisfaction, which again is saying a lot. Near the conclusion of the project, Alphonso walked around with me and as I pointed out thumbnail-sized areas I wanted touched up, he indulgently applied the sealant and/or paint to the area. Ismael re-installed all light fixtures, hose reels, and electrical sockets?AND THEN MADE SURE THEY WORKED. They patiently worked the trim around the garage door (where the wood meets the brick) three times until my wife was satisfied with the result. Ralph personally came out each time to brainstorm and offer solutions for getting a straighter edge to the paint there. On the gutters, we previously had very dark paint. The new trim paint is brilliant white. After the normal two coats, the dark paint underneath was still barely visible, giving the white top coat a darker tinge. Ismael stayed late and repainted ALL the gutters with a third coat. A deck fence post had been damaged during the demolition phase (but not by Ismael or Alphonso). After the project was complete and after we paid LRS in full, Ismael and Alphonso came back and replaced the post with a new one, staining it to match the others. They even applied additional lag bolts to secure the deck rails better than they were before. If there?s a category beyond ?Fully Satisfied?, put me in that column. Ismael told me his philosophy is: ?If I would not want it done on my house, I would not do it to yours.? That, in essence, sums up the work ethic and professionalism of this entire organization.
Description of Work: On our 4000+ sq.ft., 3 1/2 -story home, LRS removed & hauled away all our old LP siding; removed all siding fixtures (lamps, hoses, etc.); checked for dry rot; installed the water-barrier HydroGap material; installed pre-painted (Color Plus) HardiePlank siding with a 7” reveal and architectural blocks (for faucets, lights & vents); installed HardieShingles over a 200 sq.ft. section of wall; flashed & caulked all windows and doors; painted eaves, trim, garage door, fascia & gutters; and replaced/rewired all that they’d taken down at the beginning of the project. All work comes with an LRS lifetime craftsmanship warranty transferable within the first five years, while the HardiePlank siding is covered by a 30-year non-prorated manufacturer’s warranty.

It was a pleasure working with [members name] in designing and implementing a new exterior for their home. The quality materials that were used and the level of craftsmanship of our installation team guarantees them a lifetime of trouble free problems with the exterior of their home. That's why our motto is " We guarantee your peace of mind". We're glad that [members name] will now be able to enjoy their beautiful home for as long as they live there and our lifetime guarantee gives them the peace of mind that they will never have to worry about any problems with their siding in the future. I want to thank them for their wonderful review and also thank them for allowing our future customers to know what kind of experience they can expect when they pick Lifetime Remodeling Systems.
If you, like us, have had nightmarishly bad remodeling/home repair experiences, you will be extremely happy with Lifetime Remodeling Systems doing the work for you. Many years ago, way before Angie's List or probably before Angie was even born, we had a new roof put on our previous home by a national home store, and the whole mess was so horrible that it made us very wary of having anyone come in and do work for us again. We had too many problems to list them all here, but in the month it took to finish the job we cleaned up cigarette butts, endured loud music, and old shingles thrown every which way, not being cleaned up for days. We also never knew who would show up to work or when, and our phone calls got us nowhere. Not only that, in the first heavy rain, there was damage on all three floors from leaks. So if this sounds all too familiar and you are also wary, you can rest easy if you hire Lifetime Remodeling. Here is what restored our faith in the work ethic: While removing old cedar siding, blowing in insulation, installing and painting new Hardie-Plank Artisan siding and trim, the workers kept things clean, showed up when they said they would, solved problems on the spot and made adjustments when needed. They answered questions with a positive, helpful attitude and made good suggestions. Ralph stopped by several times every day to check the progress. Alberto and the crew worked through several 90+ degree days to get things done. They not only took the time to make sure things were done right, they did a few extra things along the way. It's only been done for a day, and we have already had several neighbors say how beautiful the house looks. And we feel confident that with the quality of product and craftsmanship, it will continue to look beautiful for a long time. If we want any other work done, we will absolutely be calling them. I don't know what they could have done any better.
Description of Work: After testing for lead paint, they tore off old cedar shakes, blew in insulation, replaced window trim, flashing, wrapped the house, installed Hardie-Plank Artisan siding and painted.

We certainly enjoyed restoring the exterior of [members names] 70 year old home. It's now certainly the best looking home in their neighborhood.
Hiring Lifetime Remodeling Systems was the best decision I have ever made in the 14 years of home ownership! From beginning to end, Ralph and his team went above and beyond my expectations. I read hundreds of reviews on the siding/remodeling companies on Angie's List as well as researched several companies outside of Angie's List and was fairly certain I would be going with Lifetime. When Ralph came out and bid the job, I was ready to make a decision because I saved this bid for last (I had a few other bids and this was the best as far as company/quality/price/product). I had one other bid that was lower however, the quality of the company/product did not compare so this was an easy choice given my research of the companies prior to the bids. Ralph let me know when we would start the job and was extremely efficient in executing everything according to schedule. The team was so great I wish I could have found them 14 years ago. I have had a multitude of contractors/companies over the years in my home remodeling & in my business (apartments) and I have to say, this one is as good is it can possibly be. Top notch service/product/people/price! The team went above what was quoted in the bid and painted around the existing windows for me, installed new outdoor lights & mounted new address #'s above the garage yet did not charge me extra for that work. I found the attentive customer service absolutely refreshing and something else that was quite impressive was the team stayed late several days (around 7pm) to finish the job as well as cleaned up each day instead of just at the end of the job. I cannot say enough great things about this company and the care they take in their customers. I have had multiple neighbors come by and compliment the fantastic work. This experience has been an absolutely wonderful one and I would like to save everyone reading this review the hours and hours I spent researching companies, getting bids, reading hundreds of reviews and JUST CALL LIFETIME REMODELING. They are the BEST in every aspect!!! Thank you so very much Lifetime & the team!!!!!

Gino and his team, lead by Ismeal did a fantastic job. This was a big job that required removing 3 layers of siding (1 layer of composite, 1 layer of raked cedar, 1 layer of cedar lap siding). It was discovered that the base layer of siding was serving as a structural component of the house (this was not expected) requiring us to resheet the house with plywood prior to putting up the siding. They adjusted well to the change in scope of the project giving me updated quote on the expanded work as well as adjusted the work schedule of the crew to keep them on the job for the entire project with no break in the work. The materials used were of the highest quality from sheeting material, house wrap/rain screen, staples for rain screen, nails, caulk, siding, and trim. The crew worked long days, 8 AM to 7 PM and cleaned up after each day. The team checked in with me at the beginning and end of each day to review progress and talk about the plan for the day. We ran into the usual challenges with a project of this size on an old home (built in 1910) - the house had settled significantly in one corner, wiring issues, how to deal with existing trim work, rotten window sills, roof flashing, crooked door enclosure for new door, etc... Each challenge was reviewed with me and they made great recommendations as to how to best deal with them. Any additional costs were clearly communicated. Once the job was completed we did a final walk though and any tiny details that needed to be taken care of were. I would recommend these guys (they were all men on the project) for any siding project - they wowed me.
Description of Work: Tear off of three layer of existing siding, re-sheet, installed house rap with rain screen, installed cedar lap siding, installed period appropriate trim (windows, corners of house, water table/belly board) installed flashing (windows, doors, and architectural blocking), calked, installed side door, painted all of the exterior.

Restoring [Member name removed] home was a challenge but certainly one that turned out to be a beautifully restored home. Lifetime Remodeling Systems specializes in old home restoration and now [Member name removed]'s "new" old home is certainly representative of the period in which it was built.

They turned us down to even provide a quote, solely based on the fact that we were looking to reside our rental house. No other questions were asked. When I asked why they said based on "other" experience they don't give quotes on rental homes since we are just looking for the cheapest product, and they do not fit well on those projects. They did not not even ask what our intention was for the home prior to making the decision to turn the bid down, which is for a long term, quality product that fits well in our neighborhood.

When this member called and asked for a free estimate I asked him what the project was. He said he needed to reside a rental property. I told him that I really didn't feel like we would be a good fit for what he wanted and that our policy after years of experience was that we didn't give free estimates on rental properties. At that point he said that sounded very prejudicial and he hung up. What I was going to tell him before he abruptly hung up was that I would gladly refer him to a contractor who actually had previously worked for us for many years and now had his own company. He specialized in the kind of project this member was looking for. I immediately called him back to give him this referral but he didn't answer the phone. I left a message telling him that I would give his name and number to this other contractor. I called the other contractor and gave him the information. Later on I called the contractor back to see if he was able to contact this person. He said that he had contacted him and that he had set up an appointment to go over the project with him. I apologize if he took our policy as a slight I certainly didn't mean it as one. Hopefully he and the contractor I referred him to can get the job done to his satisfaction.

It went great and exceeded our expectations. We solicited quotes from a number of highly rated Angie's list contractors as well as a friend. Lifetime Remodeling came in with a bid that was very competitive - the second lowest. However, we felt that Lifetime totally understood what needed to be done, knew what materials we wanted (solid cedar siding and a replacement wood frame window), and had extensive experience with this type of work. We felt totally confident that Lifetime was the right contractor for the job and liked the past reviews on Angie's list The lead time for the job was about 5 weeks because we had to have a custom wood window made. Once that was done, Lifetime staged the job with a porta-potty and drop box, and began the work the next day. They completed the entire job on schedule in 2-1/2 days. The skill and efficiency of the Lifetime crew was top notch. They went the extra mile to ensure that the work was completed with the highest quality and used premium materials to do it. They took pride in the work they did, and it showed. We couldn't be happier with the work performed. We also would compliment our project manager (Mike Short). He always kept us informed with the latest information throughout the job in a timely manner, and wanted to make sure that we were totally satisfied with the work done on the job. This has been one of the best contractor experiences we've had, and I give credit to Angie's list for getting us in touch with Lifetime Remodeling Systems for the work. Angie's List took a lot of the uncertainty and worry out of the process.
Description of Work: We developed a leak in one of our south-facing windows and knew that we needed it replaced along with the cause - deteriorated cedar siding. This siding lasted 25 years, but was built using the codes and materials of the day. We knew a couple of years ago that we would need to replace the siding on the entire south side of the house, and the leak was the indicator that it was time. The work scope was to replace a 4-0 x 3-0 picture/awning wood frame window, replace the cedar siding on the south side of the house, and repair any compromised sheathing and framing. The job would also require painting of the exterior to match the existing colors and finishing of the interior woodwork for the new window.

My house was built in 1992 with LP T1-11 siding. The siding was badly damaged and needed replacement badly. I got bids from 3 different Angie's List providers and chose Lifetime. One of the things that sold me on using Lifetime was a spontaneous visit to one of their job sites. I saw the Lifetime sign, pulled over and talked with the crew. They were installing Hardie plank on an older house in my neighborhood. They showed me the product and how they install it. I was very impressed by their knowledge and pride in their work. Thanks Jose! This attitude is also very strong in the crew assigned to my house. I can't say enough how much I appreciate the communication skills, knowledge, thoughtfulness and professionalism of Chris, the crew leader. He and Diego worked the whole two plus weeks on this project. Chris is a perfectionist and always concerned about the quality of his work. We started each day with an update from him and he took time to answer any questions I had. He pointed out small details and educated me on how Hardie plank should be handled. He and Diego worked long hours yet were always courteous and kind. They left the work site clean at the end of each day; spotless at the end of the project. Scott was the sales consultant and project manager. He stayed in close contact during the whole project and was very responsive to my questions. Scott understands the importance of good communication. His willingness to listen and understand my perspective is something I appreciate. Like Chris, Scott had helpful suggestions and ideas for improving the looks and functionality of the house. Some examples include installing a belly band that adds a more finished look to the house and moving a faucet that was unsightly. I had a new roof installed before the siding was worked on and Scott worked with the roofing company to insure that where the roofing and siding touched would not be compromised. No detail is too small for Scott. He looks after his customers faithfully! My home is beautiful. The details are perfect. It is clear that Lifetime is indeed a company of craftspeople who care about their work and their customers.
Description of Work: Removed 20+ year-old LP siding, put up plywood sheeting, wrapped the house with moisture barrier, installed Hardie plank siding, cut and added window trim, scraped existing roof trim, and painted house and trim. Also installed a new window, trimmed it and matched wall texture on the inside of the room.

Lifetime Remodeling is a great company. They were very competitive in the bidding process and did a great job. They completed the project in one and half days, and that included two coats of paint on new cedar siding. The southwest side of my home is exposed to extreme weather when it rains and the wind blows hard. It has leaked off and on for seventeen years. And I have had two companies try to remedy it before to no avail. Well, this company came in and had a great plan to put a rain shield on, take the old windows out and rewrap the window frames as the new code requires, then to use flashing and put the siding back on with stainless steel ring shank nails, and paint two coats of matching paint on it. It looks great. Mike Short, the project manager, was here both days as was the company's general manager. This was a small job for them, but they treated it like they do all of their job. The workers were fast, efficient, careful, professional and very accommodating. They cleaned up and were gentlemen. I highly recommend this company!!

A big thank you to Scott for answering all our questions and keeping us updated during the entire process of this house project. He was also quick to solve any challenges the house presented, which was mostly electrical issues. Scott made the phone calls necessary and got the problem resolved with no additional time needed to finish the house. Another big thank you to the crew involved in this house project. They showed a high level of professionalism, very friendly, and paid attention to detail from start to finish, giving us a great looking house.
Description of Work: Tore off existing siding in the front of the house. Removed back porch and cover, including cement blocks used for the posts. Installed a new weather resistant barrier and Hardieplank siding on all four sides of the house. Painted eaves, trim & corners, and architectural blocks.

Lifetime Remodeling is a first-rate company. My project manager was Mike Short. Mike was a pleasure to work with. He?s professional, accommodating, always responds to phone calls or e-mails and is honest. The work crews were efficient, friendly and did wonderful work. These guys knew what they were doing and knew how to install HardiPlank correctly. Phase I of the project was November 2013. It had a shaky start. The crew started to install siding that had the wrong grain profile. When this was brought to Mike?s attention, he immediately had the crew tear down the siding, reinstall the vapor barrier and had the correct siding delivered the next day. Everything thereafter went smoothly. Due to this error, Mike knocked off $100 from the contract price. Phase II of the project was due to start in mid-June, 2014. Mike and I signed the contract and I paid the down payment. Events changed and I needed to put a halt to Phase II before it started. I asked Mike to refund the down payment. He and Lifetime agreed without the slightest hesitation. Mike hand-delivered the check to me a few days later. I can?t say enough good things about this company and Mike. If I decide to move to Phase II, Mike is the guy I?ll be calling.
Description of Work: Resided portion of house with Hardi Plank and painted new siding and existing eaves and barger boards.
All interactions were highly professional, from the project lead (and owner) Gino, through on-site lead Ismael, and all their staff. Workers left the site clean & organized every night. The project pretty much came in right on budget (barring a few unknowns, such as dryrot repair, as we did not know the extent of it before pulling up the old siding and it was thus impossible to quote). We are very happy with the results. Gino has a great deal of experience with older houses, and our 1925 home has never looked better. It was important to us that our home keep its character, rather than looking like a "new made to look old" type of house, which we have seen on some exterior remodels. I've had strangers walking (and driving!) by comment on how nice it looks, and several neighbors have said so as well. In terms of the technical bits- our heating bills were lower this winter, the upstairs is noticeably less drafty (used to need an electric space heater to warm the 2nd floor on very cold nights), the house is generally quieter (we live on a very busy road with buses), and now that the weather is warmer, we are delighting in being able to open any window we choose (vs. the original windows, some of which had been painted shut over the decades)! This was a big investment in our home, and it has improved our day-to-day enjoyment of our living space!
Description of Work: - New HardiePlank siding, new housewrap, repair to dryrot (limited area), replace window trim on several windows; - New gutters (done thru their subcontractor- excellent work also); - Replaced all windows in house with vinyl Milgard; - Blown-in insulation to wall space.

Can't say enough good things about this company. The job was completed in approx 2 weeks. The crew really takes care to be precise, detail oriented, customer oriented and to make things last a "lifetime." In fact, through no fault of theirs, LRS ended up having to reaping the entire house because the touch up paint they obtained (tried to match through the paint store 3 times) didn't match. Rather than have the touch up show in slightly different colors, they reprinted the whole house. It's beautiful and I can go to bed each night knowing I have siding that will last through just about anything...including many years of normal wear to come.

The project went well. The crew came just when we had our recent snow storm and dropping temperatures. Due to extreme low temperatures there was problems when the crew installed the door hardware ( vinyl does not like to be cut in extreme low temeratures ). Well a crack appreared on the door. two days later a new door arrived and was installed. Having quite a bit of experiece in the world of fabrication and design i fully understand that things happen. problems arrise. The issue becomes how these problems are dealt with and Gino and his crew dealt with them seamlessly. Describing them as problms is actually wrong, they were little more than hiccups whereas ith other companies these "hiccups" could have become serious deal breakers. A custom oak threshold piece was fabricated on spot and worked perfectly connecting our oak floor to this new door. the worksite never looked messy or unorganized and was completely picked up and the end of each day. I am happy i have a contractor that i can comfortably recomend to friends and family. Well done Gino
