We had gotten estimates a month ahead of time because we knew he was busy from all the previous reviews. It worked out well that I was off work for surgery when we finally scheduled the service. Brian's workers come on time the day the work started. They reviewed what they were going to do to make sure it matched what I had requested. The worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up afterwards. The sealant work and grout clean up looked really great. They answered my questions and gave me information on how to clean the grout and tile for best results in the future. They did the master shower first, which took all day. Brian's assistant, Alex, returned in several days, after the initial shower could be used again, to do the 2nd shower and kitchen sink. The work was excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brian to my friends or use him again in the future.
Description of Work: Mold and mildew was starting to show in the grout and seal around both showers and kitchen sink. Additionally, there was tile in one shower that had broken off a ledge. Brian's crew cleaned the grout and resealed around all corners and edges plus replaced the tile with new tile where it had broken off.

The work itself was pretty routine, and seemed to go pretty fast. The shower work was done in two parts -- grout repair and glass polishing on one day, sealing later after the grout was fully set. The shower enclosure looks pretty nice -- not new exactly, but a lot better than it was. The tile repair in the kitchen is great -- the raised tile had been bugging us for some time.
Description of Work: Brian repaired the grout in our 27-year-old tiled glass shower enclosure and sealed the grout. He also polished the shower glass enclosure, which had significant soap scum and mineralization. Finally, as a freebie, Brian did a small tile repair on our tiled kitchen counter, where a small tile had become raised from moisture below it.

Very well. On initial trip Brain discovered water trapped in a shelf that had been built. Released the water and came back the following week after everything was dried out again to finish the work.

Brian gave us a bid May 1st- I booked him for his first available date - July 22. He knows what he is doing - so one reason he is so busy. He came on the 22nd- totally cleaned and re-grouted our 1964 shower stall- his assistant Alex came on Friday the 25th to seal. In another 3 days - we now have a beautiful, pleasant shower! I am so impressed with this company. Glad I waited for them to do the work.

Brian is a very busy guy. Because I was on a limited time schedule due to a real estate transaction, he made 2 appointments to reserve space, one for the estimate and one for the actual work. He is very professional. He was at my place last night and did the work. It looks beautiful. The pricing seems a little high to me but I wanted quality work so I hired him and also I don't have anything to compare it to since this is my first experience repairing grout. But he diagnosed my problem and fixed it. I would definitely recommend Brian to others.

He came on time and worked all day. The next day he came with an assistant to finish the job. It looked like new, and so far so good. He warrantees his work for one year.
Description of Work: Brian came to the house in November to assess the job and give a bid. He was going to remove all grout in our upstairs shower and re-grout using acid resistant grout. He scheduled the work for February because he was booked up until then. Fortunately, we had another bathroom to use while we waited.

I called Brian several months ago about doing the job. We scheduled a time for him to come out and give me a bid on the project. He told me he was booked solid for several months. Because of the good reviews on Angie's List I decided to wait until he could do the job. It was done over a three day period. Brian did most of the work on the downstairs bath the first day. Cutting the two decorative tile pieces so that the plumbing fixtures would fit was quite time consuming and tricky but he made it work. These decorative tile were very narrow in width and he had to cut out half-circles in each one. He also did a great job in cleaning up the film on some of the tile that was left by the person who originally installed the tile. I had previously tried to remove this but had no success in doing so. Brian kindly put the hot and cold handles on after he cut the tile so we are now able to use the downstairs shower and the bathroom looks great. He also filled in a few pin-holes where grout was missing. The upstairs bath project took two days. I have a lot of hand-made Mexican tile in this bathroom with larger porcelain tile on the floor. There were a few places missing grout, there was quite a build-up of soap scum on the tile and in places some makeup had stained the grout in a countertop. The tub had soap scum build-up as well. I had tried to clean these areas but most tile products recommend that their products not be used on Mexican tile and regular soap/scrubbing didn't work. My expectation was that the tile wouldn't clean up very well. When I saw the bathroom at the end of the first day, I was amazed at how wonderful it looked. Brian did a wonderful job on the tile. He removed all the soap, mildew, replaced the calking around the tub and sink and calked up the wall in the corner of the tub area. One of the floor tiles had a chip in it. Rather than spend money to remove this tile and replace it, Brian suggested that he fill it in with something to match the tile. It looks great! Unless you know where to look and get the light just right the chip doesn't show at all. The tub, the floor and the walls look wonderful. I never thought the tile would ever look this good again. I am very happy that I waited until Brian could do the work. He is conscientious and detail oriented and a nice guy! I am very happy to recommend Brian to others.
Description of Work: First floor bath: replaced cracked tile; removed "haze" from tiles; cut decorative tile pieces so the plumbing fixtures would fit so that the shower could be used again; 2nd floor bath: fixed hole in porcelaine floor tile, cleaned all wall and floor tiles, restored color of grout on floor tile, removed soap scum, mildew buildup on tub, tile walls, and replaced calking around tub, sink, calked tub fixtures.

The 2 showers in my house had pretty severe cracks in the corner caulking. I called GroutPro and Brian came out to check out the situation. He told me that if money was a big concern that I could probably hire a handy man do redo the caulking for less but I went with his bid because I felt it would be a quality job. He took the time to expertly match the color and also provided a 1 year warranty on the work. Everything went smoothly and the job looks great.

We had a bathroom done by the previous owner and some tiles were starting to pop. I called grout Masters on a Monday at 11am and they came by that afternoon to give us a bid of $550. They started the next day and it took them four days to carefully pull up the loose tiles and the surrounding ones. Clean all the tiles off because we had to re-use them. Cleaned off all of the cement on the subfloor. Added new cement to the subfloor and put the tiles back. Let everything dry. Came back and grouted with new grout and matched the color. Then came back and cleaned and sealed the tile/grout. These were not easy tiles to remove and they had to be careful not to break any because we didn't have any replacement tiles. They did a great job and I would recommend them.
Description of Work: Pulled up loose tiles. Scrape off the old grout from the tiles to save the tiles (we only had one extra piece from the previous home owner). Put new sealant on the floor to protect and make the floor level. Reinstall the tiles with new grout. Clean and seal the grout in the entire bathroom.

I didn't hear back from the provider for well over a week. When he finally contacted me, he left a message and apologized for letting my request "fall through the cracks". However, despite his assertion that he would get back in touch with me shortly, it was another two weeks or so before I heard from him again. He indicated he had been working at a job where there was no cell phone coverage. Um, okay, if you say so. We didn't award the work to Grout Pro because their response to our request was extremely slow and accompanied by too many excuses. In home improvement trades, reliability is as important as craftsmanship and is frequently what differentiates the best contractors. We didn't have confidence in Grout Pro and therefore didn't select them for our job.
Description of Work: Via provider website, I requested a quote for several separate grout cleaning and repair jobs in our home.

Brian's team did an outstanding job of cleaning the tile. I was astonished by how good it looked after the job was complete. There was very little smell and they did an outstanding job of cleaning up after themselves each day (it was a 2-day project). A few weeks later some of the new grout became discolored. Brian sent someone out to redo the area and it all looks great. Would definitely use again and a much better deal than replacing the tile or having the tile painted.

He was very professional. I was very pleased with his work. He explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. He also gave me information about things that I would need to get do in the future. A good thing about him is that he is unintrusive. He was in my house from 9 until 4 and some people can be a little annoying but he was not; it was a pleasure to have him here, I did not notice that he was here. All in all his work was superb, I am very happy with it. He was on time, answered all questions that I asked, and his prices were reasonable. I would go with him again and again.

I called Brian for a quote. He called back promptly, I was unavailable, I called him back. From there it took him 3 days to call me back. We arranged a time for him to come out to our home. Brian was very flexible on quote times, etc. He arrived promptly. Brian is a nice person, seems to know his trade well. He provided us a quote the very next day. Price was reasonable. I then sent Brian an email, asked a clarification question about the quote. No response. We decided to then move forward with the job and I informed Brian of the intent to do so. At that point, I was requesting a confirmation of the date/time for the job. No response. Brian did not respond for a week. Regardless of how knowledgeable or good a contractor is, if they don't reply to the basics, the job probably won't go well. After a week, I informed Brian that we would not be moving forward due to lack of communication. He responded right away, go figure! He said he understood and apologized. I think Brian would do a good job, but his business has become to large for him to manage, but unfortunately, that is not my problem. Basic and consistent communication is required in any profession, regardless of "connection or amount of time being worked." We are all working long hours and my time just got wasted.

Tile on the lip of my 2009 remodeled kitchen counter had loosened and some had fallen off. The previous contractor had moved out of state, so wasn't available to help. This was the main reason for the job, although Brian was able to correct a couple of other small issues with tile and bathtub caulking that was looking bad after only a couple of years. Brian was professional and personable. The kitchen counters look great again!

We bought a foreclosure house that had been empty for three years. One of the things we wanted done before we moved in was to have all the tile spruced up (and there is a lot of tile). Brian came out to the house on October 11 to do a bid. I wanted all the tile in the house deep cleaned, re-grouted where necessary, re-caulked, and sealed. The bid was high ($1,600) but I thought since there is so much tile and if he would do a good job, then OK. He said he was busy and would schedule his helper Alex to do the work starting on November 1, assuring me that Alex was well-trained and would do a good job. Alex came out and started work on November 1. On November 4, I was there while Alex was re-grouting in the kitchen, so I know at least some of that got done. On November 6, I stopped by in the evening to see what progress had been made. What I discovered was that the disposer button on my sink had grout in it and was damaged, there was grout on the frame around the kitchen sink windows, and there was grout on my cooktop. I'm still not sure how I'm going to get that off without damaging the surfaces underneath. I checked the other tiled areas and discovered that the job was far from being done. Neither Brian nor Alex ever showed up again, no phone calls, not even an attempt to collect the bill. Lucky for me I didn't give Brian any money up front, but I'm pretty mad about all the damage.

We have not yet decided what to do, but if we proceed with the job, we are confident Grout Pro will treat us well.
Description of Work: We had Grout Pro out to check some stained shower tile to see if it could be cleaned or if it required replacement. The estimator said the tile and needed to be cleaned and that the grout was close to needing replacement. He gave us a reasonable estimate for the work and offered advice about products that were good to use for cleaning tile and products that were not so good.
