CASCADE ROOFING

I was disappointed in the bid, considering the contractor was so highly rated by Angie's List. I felt that "dynamic pricing" was being used in bidding the job, not simply pricing the job based on labor and materials. In other words, price gouging. It was quite remarkable the range of bids that came in, and the $18,000 difference between the Cascade Roofing bid and the bid from the contractor we ended up using was frankly inexplicable. My advice to homeowners looking for any roofing contractor is to get several bids like we did, not just one or two. Had we only gotten a couple bids we could have ended up paying up to $18,000 too much for the job!

Overall they did a good job. If we needed this type of work done in the future we would hire them again.

They kept all of their promises and they accomplished it all in one day!

Work went really well. They were on time, installed the new roof in 48 hours. The work was of high quality and performed in a very safe manner. They gave a credit against the estimate for unused material.

The communication was fantastic. The salesman spent at least an hour talking about the details and cost of the project. He let me select the roofing colors and materials. He gave me an approximate date of when the job would begin. They were right on schedule. Everyone was so courteous and hardworking. I couldn't have been happier with this company.

The work was very professional and the roofers corrected some of my mistakes in building the addition roof. They also hauled off the roofing I had already stripped off the dining room roof to attach my addition as well as the remaining old roofing they stripped. I was particularly happy with the flashing between the roof and the house siding of the main house. They cleaned up very well.

We are very pleased with the service, courtesy, workmanship and professionalism of the entire team. They sent out two crews to finish our roof in one day due to weather considerations. The roof looks terrific and we've already received many compliments from our neighbors. I had the opportunity to watch them work and you can see they have many years of experience in roofing. It's made our house look much younger.

They did an excellent job. They were nearly a week earlier than projected start date. Completed entire roof in a single day. They subcontract the gutters which were installed the next day. One of the downspouts was pointed the wrong way and they quickly had the subcontractors fix it. Great follow-up and customer service.

Excellent experience. When I booked an appointment for an estimate, the salesman, Dan was on time. Told him what I wanted. He drew up an estimate and after careful consideration I went with Cascade Roofing. Dan came out a 2nd time so that I could pick a color. He took pictures of the house and when he had a question, he called me. The team showed up mid-September, covered windows, plants and got started. It was discovered that there was quite a bit of rotted plywood, so all of that was removed. They had a double team working and it was completed in one day. The on-site formeman introduced himself and everytime there was a question, he inquired. When they left, everything was neat and tidy. None of my plants (and I have quite a few against the house) were damaged. On the patio cover, they placed brackets and elevated it so it no longer rested on the roof. An amazing job was done and my house looks great. Thank goodness it came just prior to all the rain!

Cascade Roofing did a terrific job, from the visit by the estimator to the finished product. The estimator and scheduler thought it would take 1-1.5 days. It was all done in a day. Arturo and the crew did a fabulous job. They were totally professional, answered all our questions, were respectful and responsive to our concerns, and did a wonderful job of cleaning up during and after the project. We were well-prepared by the company and knew what to do before they came to minimize damage and surprises. We would recommend them without hesitation. The company and all of the people we met and talked with were just tops!

Everything from the first estimate visit to the final follow-up visit was terrific. Nels responded to several questions we had about various products, dropped off several samples and provided drive-buy locations to view options. Crew came in and worked like a well-oiled machine (my neighbors were even complimentary). The potential messy project was handled to avoid any problems. There was no mess at all. I only wish this company did other services - I would use them for everything!

Very professional. Job was very well done. They did some extra stuff for us as well; vents that were not connected to the outside, gutters done and also some skylights. All in all, very happy with the service.

I answered the question above. Since I turned the questions around, I'll respond to the first question here. The work was to re-roof a duplex I own. It ended up not only doing the re-roof but replacing the plywood and adding ventilation.

Nels visited to examine for estimate, and mailed estimate within a day or so. About a month later I notified them that I'd decided to use them. Nels visited for final selection of color and signing contract. No downpayment was required. Work was performed several weeks later over two days. Day one, a crew of 15 worked from 7:30am til 8pm and removed cedar shingles, applied plywood and new shingles to house and shed. Day two, a crew of 2 completed the gazebo reroofing, finished cleanup and overall inspection. Day three, a representative came for a final inspection. The work was efficient, well organized, and cleanup was very good. Bill arrived by mail several days later. Work was well done with no problems.

They were very punctual and professional, from the first contact through all the work. I was impressed that the owner came out when I wanted to discuss extending the eaves and the quote guy wanted his expertise. They arrive and work like a machine. The neighbors were very impressed and stopped to watch. As promised, they were done and cleaned up in one day; all the workers were very courteous and quiet. They gave me two $15 Starbucks gift cards, one for when they had to delay the job due to rain, and again as a thank you after the job. They also brought a large planter with attractive plants for my porch and came to pick up dropped nails with a large magnet. The roof is very attractive. I would definitely hire them again.

Everything went extremely well. The workers arrived on time, brought everything with them (including their own port-a-potty, which was decorated!). They covered all plants, put tarps on the fence between the neighbors yard and tarps on our decks and lawn. They got right to work, tearing off the old roof, cleaning up as they went. They had brought two crews with them, so they could finish in 2 days. They worked until about 6:00 on Friday night, and arrived about 8:00 on Saturday morning. They were finished about 1:00 Saturday. They cleaned up the yard, the driveway, the sidewalk and the street in front of the house. They also cleaned out all the gutters on the house, and replaced the furniture on the deck! On Monday, they came out to do another clean-up of the street, even going out into the street to pick up anything that might have gone there. They went up on the roof to check that as well. Even cleaned residue from a label on the inside of the skylight.

The estimate was timely. We were notified will in advance of the day the work was to be done. The crew showed up on time. The outside of the house and plantings were all covered and tarped before work began on the roof. The crew was excellent! The entire job was done on time and to my satisfaction. I was amazed at the cleanup performed by the crew. There was no evidence that they had been there, except for the new roof! The company followed up with us a couple of days later to be sure we were satisfied and the work was done right.

Nels came out and talked over all the details, making recommendations where there were special issues with a complicated roof line and some special venting requirements. He then sent a very detailed bid telling exactly what was included in the price (the price was right in line with what we expected to pay). Every interaction I had with the company was professional and cheerful, even when things didn't always go as planned. They sent about 15 guys to spend a long couple of days tearing roofing off and getting the new roofing material on as quickly as possible. It was hot and dusty and noisy when they were working, but when they left, the place was cleaner than it was when they arrived. They went the extra mile to make getting a new roof as pleasant an experience as it could be, even my two kids commented that some workers played catch with them on their break time.

They did get right back with me, so the responsiveness was good. However, they only service roofs that they put on themselves.

Awesome job. We live in Murrayhill and had a difficult roof as the pitch was steep and the roof lines complex. We wanted the best crew on the job and they provided two crews, both awesome. Totally professional and went the extra mile to keep the property clean before and after the job. I have four kids and a dog, and it was a trouble free as it could get.

It only took one full day to do all this work. They started at 7 am and finished after the sun went down. They did a great job. The team of 7 to 12 workers were very organized and efficient, with the help of a very good foreman named Mike After the work was done they cleaned the area so it was like they found it, No Nails. Even another man came along the next day and swept the area with a magnet to find nails. I was very impressed!

Great! Workers were fast and efficient and showed a great deal of respect for our home.
