It was great. It is obvious why it has so many good reports on Angie's list. I called and was offered that someone come that day. Patrick called before coming during the 2-hour designated time. I explained my observations of the problems -- he listened. He looked at the appliances with me remaining upstairs. He came up and explained his diagnoses and said he would have to order the parts and would call me the next day to tell me how much it would be for the parts and arrange to come back. He called late the next day, and we made arrangements for him to come the next day and he told me the cost of each part and told me what he thought approximate total cost would be. It was $5 more than his ballpark estimate. I told him to go ahead, and we agreed on a two-hour period during which he would come the next morning. The next day he called within the two-hour period to tell me he'd be at my house within 20 minutes. He was. (He'd called ahead the first time he came, as well.) He came and installed the parts and then explained what considerations he took into account to make his diagnoses. Oh, both times he put on booties to keep my floor clean. Really an excellent job. I appreciate how there was no stress involved in the logistics and otherwise clearing up my problem.

I was given a time of 8-8:30am. Patrick showed up right at 8am. He was here for about 45 minutes and now the dryer is as good as new. The dryer was making a loud noise and the drum wasn't moving. Turns out it was a broken belt. I have a compact dryer so there was a lot more work involved in replacing the belt than I thought. The service call was $75 and the replacement belt was $70 (I guess belts for compact dryers are more expensive). Next time I need an appliance repaired Appliance Guys will be who I call!

I called for an appointment yesterday after seeing company reports on Angies's list. They made an appointment to arrive between 9 and 11 a.m. today. They called this morning and asked if they could come sooner as they were in my neighborhood. I said yes and they arrived promptly at about 8:30 a.m. Glenn started diagnosing the problem on the oven while his partner got his tools to clean the dryer vent. Within less than an hour the vent was clean and the oven heat control had been re-calibrated and was working fine. The entire job was completed quickly and professionally. I would definitely hire them again.

Well, when they arrived in my basement, the main repairman leaned against the washer to hear what was the matter and idly pushed the knob of my washer in. Well, I was astonished, dismayed and happy! The only reason I had them come was to get that darned knob to push in! It cost $75 minimum to have them come out and I saw that $75 grow wings and fly out the window! I stood there with my mouth open and the fellow said, "Oh. Is that why you had us out?" I nodded. He listened to my story of the knob problem and double checked its correct functioning and confirmed it wasn't having any problems. He asked if there was anything else they could do since my $75 allowed them one hour of work time. I said my clothes were shrinking in the dryer, even on the delicate setting, with the least warm setting, with the next lower setting being only air). They checked the temperature the dryer got up to in each setting and confirmed there was no problem. (!) They also double checked to be sure I didn't have lint accumulated in my vent hose and there was no problem. The result of their visit was an overall check up of two appliances which are apparently in perfectly good condition. I will just have to hang my clothes up on the clothes rod and refrain from excessive pulling of the knob on the washer. (I was trying to prevent so much water to enter the tub when I had a very small load and then manually move it to "slosh" and so on. That seems to be causing more problems than the saving of water was worth.) This was a frustrating visit simply because it turned out I didn't even need these fellows but they did everything they could to help me during their one hour visit.

The electrical components of my Jenn Air duel-fuel stove had stopped working. Patrick diagnosed the problem as a failed part. Unfortunately, it turned out that the part is no longer manufactured. Before giving up, Patrick tried to locate a supplier who still had one in stock. Sadly, he was not able to so, but I was very impressed with his knowledge and the effort he made to find the part.

They were very prompt and professional. I appreciated their honesty in telling me the job was beyond their scope. They even recommended some other repair places that might be able to do the job. They didn't charge me for the visit, for which I was very appreciative. I'll definitely call them the next time I have a repair job.

It went great. The washer is working great again. Glenn far exceeded my expectations by trying to investigate an odor issue I had discovered after being able to run the dryer after his first visit (smell of kerosene). We could not figure out the source but Glenn had some great suggestions which have worked...the odors are almost completely gone now. Also, I was very happy about pricing as I thought each home visit was around $80. When you add 2 trips plus the cost of the part being replaced in the washer, the final price was better than I thought. I will gladly use this company again.

It was kind of amazing, really. I called the company about 8:10 this morning and Glenn happened to be on this side of town. He was here by 8:45 and gone just after 9:00. He was very courteous and professional on the phone and in person. I couldn't be happier with the company, with Glenn, and the work he did.

They were very prompt, curteous, knowledgeable and professional. They were quick to find the problem and provide a solution. Their prices were fair and their service was impeccable! I will definately use them again.

As above. These guys ought to be holding classes for other service organizations on how to delight customers. In my experience, any time a provider exceeds expectations, as happened here, the customer is far less likely to go elsewhere for needed service the next time round. in fact, they weren't out the door 10 minutes before I was e-mailing all my family and friends a recommendation for the Appliance Guys should they ever need service. I was real happy with their service guy, and I will use them again.

Simple fix - there was grease buildup around the gasket that we could no see that was contributing to the leak. Clear explanation of what happened and recommendations re: types of detergent to use, how much, etc.

We were able to get an appointment very quickly. Patrick showed up on time and fixed the dryer immediately. He couldn't get the oven apart without an additional tool, so he came back the next day (at our convenience), He was able to dismantle the oven and diagnosed that the control housing was cracked, but was unable to fix it since the part was no longer available. (My husband now has a make-shift fix using some rubber bands--unattractive, but it beats a grand for a new stove!) He was very nice and professional, the price was reasonable, so we will use these folks again.

I called on a Thursday and they were at my house on Friday. Al, the service tech was fast, professional and really went out of his way to get my refrigerator working late in the day on Friday. He didn't have the part he needed and actually drove somewhere in Friday afternoon traffic to get it and came back and installed it! Any other company would have made me wait until Monday or whenever they could get the part. This has to be the best experience I have had with a service provider in the past 15 years of being a homeowner...hands down. A+++ for Appliance Guys! I would definitely recommend them to anyone and wish all service providers were this customer-oriented...their service and fair pricing was very much appreciated.

We started seeing water on the floor of our basement near the washer. We have lots of boxes on the floor with clothes and other damageable items so it was no little worry. I called and described the problem and he asked for enough information to identify the exact washer, necessary part and scheduled an appointment. He arrived, further diagnosed the problem, had the part and was in and out with a great explanation and reassurance. No more water problem!

I called Appliance Guys, who had given me excellent service on my clothes dryer last year, at 7:30 AM, and the repairman was at my house in about an hour and a half. Patrick said he had a good idea what the problem was from my description, and he was right -- the fan that moves the cold air from the freezer section into the refrigerator section had gone out. He had brought the replacement fan with him, since I had provided the model number of the fridge when I called. The repair was made in about ten minutes. But when the fridge section had not gotten back down to the proper temperature after four hours, I called the office again. Patrick came back and got one last chunk of ice out of the depths of the duct. He gave me his cell phone number so I could contact him that evening if the problem was still not fixed. It worked fine, though, and has ever since. I have found each repairman from Appliance Guys very courteous and professional. They are always neatly dressed and even slip plastic booties over their shoes so as not to track anything into the house. I originally located Appliance Guys via Angie's List and chose them because of the excellent reviews they had received.

We experienced a power outage(blown transformer) and when the electricity was back on the dishwasher would not turn on and when it did would only beep and no functions worked. We called and they came out the next day and spent quite a bit of time investigating. Felt it was the touch board and and advised us to see electrician.. We did and he determined that the electiricity was fine.. He too was baffled as to the cause.. We called back the same company and they sent thier head guy out who spend several hours here trying to figure out the issue.. He said he would call the brand name company and talk to them. He got back to us the within two days and came out and replaced the touch pad on the dishwasher which corected the problem.. They were extremely helpful and wanted to get to the cause of the malfunction and followed through until resolution.. they were prompt, and incredibly reasonable for the amount of time and energy it took to diagnose the problem.. We were/are extremely pleased and would use them again without reservation.

Fantastic service on all counts! Glen returned my call within 10 minutes and scheduled an appointment for the same day. Called me as he was on his way which I really appreciated. (Not like the cable company that tells you someone will be there within a four hour period.) Glenn inspected the dryer and quickly saw that the temperature control device needed to be replaced. He had the part in his truck and my dryer was fixed and back in operating condition in under a half hour. Call me impressed. This guy was awesome! He charged $75 for the service call and about $20 for the part. Seemed pretty reasonable to me. I highly recommend Appliance Guys and will definitely call on them again myself.

My clothes washer quit running mid-cycle. I called and spoke with Glenn and after a couple questions said he could be here in about 30 minutes. He was, knew exactly what the problem was, got a part from truck and installed it in no time. That has to be the best home service I have every had.

Patrick, from the Appliance Guys came promptly and checked all the connections and found initially that after putting it back together, that it was working properly. The next day, however, the problem returned and they were able to come right back out with no service charge, determined that the timer needed to be replaced, and completed the work. Patrick was professional, efficient, and courteous.

If you need a service repair person that provides timely and friendly service at a good price, I would certainly recommend this company. Patrick was extremely friendly and didn't seem a bit bothered by my slightly grungy basement. When he gave me the estimate and I accepted, he had to order a part. He came out promptly the next day to do the repair. It was as simple as that and that's what I like in my service providers. Easy, reliable and affordable service. Thanks, Patrick!!!

Amana Refrigerator died over the weekend. Checked Angie?s list and called them early Monday AM. They were out right away and diagnosed the problem within seconds. Easy and inexpensive part was replaced. I am so impressed with their professionalism and product knowledge. This Refrigerator is 7 years old, counter depth with custom wood panels. I was very concerned that worse case I would have to have it replaced as it is no longer available. I'm so grateful to have it repaired.
