Anctil Heating and Cooling

Very responsive. They adjusted their schedule to get started on our job early. Ductwork required some creativity and they were able to adapt the plan for minimal disruption. Had some adjusting to do after the install and they came out promptly and fixed all issues and answered all questions.

Based on knowing Mark and Dave from 1190 KEX i decided to call Anctil! Had an appointment to get an estimate. Took off work early to meet at 3:00pm. Waited and waited but noone came. Booo! Called Anctil and they forgot they appointment. I understand things happen but im going to use this as a sign of things to come with Anctil. Many good reports but.....there are many for other companies who do make their appointments too! Thanks God for Angie's List!

I contacted 3 companies to compare offerings and prices. Anctil had the broadest offering. Prices were in-between the others, but their salesperson (Eric) was much more professional and knowledgeable. For example - Anctil was the only one that sent a written proposal (email, too, so it was quick). They ordered the unit & when it arrived, offered to slip it into their installation schedule on the fly. We had to react quickly, but were able to take advantage of a slot that suddenly opened up. The installers were great - very "can do" and likable. They waited patiently while I cleaned up the wall sleeve that the old unit came out of. There was a minor billing glitch - they sent the bill to the service location (a boathouse) rather than my home, but we got it figured out.

They are excellent, and they are very reliable. You know they are going to do the job and you don't have to worry. The price is reasonable.

We came to know of them through Angie’s List. The person who had come to give us the estimate seemed to be pretty professional and knowledgeable. Anctil Heating & Cooling is a small company, and the brand that they had carried was the one that we wanted to go with. We had spent close to $10,000, and felt the price was alright. The quality of their work was excellent, and we were very happy with them. When it was time to submit all of the paperwork for rebates, warranties and so forth my husband ended up having to go to their office because we wanted to get it done before we would leave town. The office staff was very helpful in getting that done for him. Our experience with them was very good.

Dave showed up on time and got right to work figuring out how this relict worked. He remarked that the furnace was older than he was!!! He identified the likely culprit as the sequencer which is an electrical-mechanical box not made any more and any replacement part found would likely be less reliable than I might like. He loosened the sequencer and moved the physical parts through their range of motion, hopefully to free up whatever was sticking, and reattached the unit. Fortunately, that seems to have done the trick. He checked the new thermostat I had installed and corrected its wiring so that it correctly controlled the fan. Then, all he charged was the flat rate for the service call. A bargin!!. Then, learning that we were considering a new furnace/heat pump, he offered his experience servicing different brands. He did not try to sell me anything but gave me his honest opinions based on experience. These I'll consider. All in all, an excellent experience.

anctil was very professional and the tech who came over was very good at explaining the needs of the project. we wanted to have our basement ceiling insulated. in the end the quote was too high (from all the places we had estimates done) and so we didn't do the project in the end.

I found all of the sales, office and technicians from Anctil to be very professional, pleasant to work with and very helpful in answering all of my questions. They arrived promptly for the install on the agreed upon date and did a very nice job. The city inspector even commented during the inspection that the installation was very well done. I chose Anctil based on price, referral from a co-worker and because I felt they were very honest, reliable and I appreciated the no pressure sales approach. Another company was willing to match the bid and was also highly rated on Angie's list. The deciding factor for me was that Eric from Anctil was honest with me about the possibility of the Carrier system I was considering not qualifying for the federal tax rebate and providing me with another alternative that was sure to qualify due to a higher efficiency rating. The other company did not mention this at all and when I asked about it I didn't feel confident in the response I got and the alternative system that they proposed was not as high quality as what Anctil proposed. I am very happy with my new furnace so far and with the work performed by Anctil. I would definitely recommend to a friend and use them again in the future.

My furnace suddenly wasn't working. I called early morning and they came out within 2 hours. The part I needed was replaced quickly. The repairman suggested I could get maintenance care done on my 2 furnaces and gas fireplace and quoted me a price. He called to see if he could do it for me that day. Since they were there, and I hadn't had basic maintenance done lately, I had it done. It took about 2 1/2 hours to do everything. The repairman as very friendly, efficient, and respectful of my home.

They cleaned my heating and air conditioning system and made it look good. My experience was excellent. The gentleman who came here was helpful and gave me good hints about my air conditioning system to improve its life. They were professional and responsive.

Called Anctil for an estimate, the serviceman was polite and prompt. We called later in the week to schedule the work to be done, they were able to fit us in the very next day. The employee who performed the service, encountered a bit of trouble when it came time to add the line into our new addition. He spent almost seven hours here. We were afraid the amount might change due to the problem, but we received the bill the following week and it was true to the estimate. We are very happy with the quality of work, and the price was very reasonable.

They were very prompt, professional, and they looked everything over well. The repairman knew the type of furnace well and he diagnosed the problem very quickly and within an hour it was fixed. I was satisfied with the price of the job, and most of the price is most likely due to labor costs.

The technician arrived promptly and was very professional. He inspected the furnace, diagnosed the problem, provided a quote, and got to work. My furnace is working great now!

Serviceman was on time, efficient & had to make an unexpected trip to the parts store because I had forgotten the need for a replacement filter. Very polite about it.

Only negative was the mix-up in knowing when they would do the work. It was rescheduled for another day. The fellow who came was effecient and very clean(the access to the crawl space is through a hall closet). He finished all the repair that was expected and reattached the drier hose that had been lying under the house. He tested the furnace and made sure that everything was working before he left. Overall a very good experience.

I made 3-4 phone calls to different people before asking Anctil to visit; I chose them because the advisor on the phone was most unbiased in opinions as to whether this was worth fixing. Technician arrived promptly, and was courteous, informative and tidy. He refitted all 3 connections to the heater(hot, cold, overflow)quickly and efficiently. My only surprise was that he was about to leave before even testing that the leek had indeed been fixed. On turning on the hot water, it turned out there was still some seepage, but he told me that nothing more could be done by him, as this was probably the unit itself. Fortunately, the seepage is now very slight and I agree that if it gets worse we'll look at replacing the unit. As a bonus though, he did point out that we had soot deposits in our heating furnace and that should be looked at-but that's another story!!

They were very professional. They showed up on time. They did what they said they were going to. They did a follow-up to make sure the job was done correctly.

The repair man, Lee G. came on time, was polite, and professional. He answered some questions I had about the thermostat and furnace. He showed me an indicator light on the furnace that is used to diagnose problems. I appreciated how he taught me some things about the furnace so I could maintain it better and trouble shoot problems if they occur. It looked like he did a good job of cleaning it and checking the furnace.

The owner of Anctil Heating came out to give us a quote. As it turned out, the Anctil quote was about $700 less than the two other quotes we received from other companies. We were quite surprised by the difference in price, but other reviewers had rated this company well, so we chose to go with them. We paid for half the service up front and the other half after the completion of the work. The service man arrived on time to do the work - it was close to an eight hour job. The work was completed in one day. The furnace was installed well and the duct work was also sealed well. We were pleased with the final result. The only con was that the service man was a smoker and our entire home smelled like smoke that day. If you are chemically sensitive, you may want to ask about a non-smoking service man.

They never got us a bid, they wasted our time and theirs by agreeing to come out and meeting with us to prepare an estimate.

We received estimates from three of the highest scoring-per Angie's list-home HVAC contractors in the Beaverton area. It was not an easy choice, but we chose Anctil based on the estimates and our over-all impressions from face-to-face, phone, and email contacts. They were easy to work with from the low (no) pressure estimate and sales experience through the on-time furnace replacement.

They have taken care of our heating, air conditioning, air filter and humidifier since buying the house 4 years ago.

Anctil Heating & Coolong were knowledgeable, professional, responsive, and friendly. They did a good job of the installations and they had a competative bid too.

Repairman was punctual, efficient and knowledgeable. Extra time was needed because the needed replacement part was not immediately in stock due to the age of the furnace.

There was no reading on the thermostat and no heat. Because it was a cold weekend and my husband had recently been released from the hospital, I decided that I could not wait until Monday. I was very satisfied. So far everything works wonderfully again.
