I spoke with Josh several weeks before the move after a couple of other movers ranked high on Angie's List were not available. He estimated two guys were needed to move us and it would take 4-6 hours. He was spot on with both estimates. When I asked about insurance, he mentioned the standard $0.60/lb was the only one, but later one of the movers told me there was a full value protection plan, as well, but it almost doubles the cost of the move. Fortunately we didn't need either. The only odd thing about the billing was a one-time fee of $30 for stairs, which Josh (owner) and Don mentioned ahead of time. I've never head of that kind of charge before but I was willing to pay it. We moved from an apartment in a condo building with moving rules and an elevator to our new house across town. We were fortunate to get Don and Josh (not the owner) as movers. They were seasoned professionals, nice, courteous, and polite. Their morning appointment was out east of the city, so they were caught up in traffic, arriving a bit late but called to let my husband know the situation. When they arrived, they set up with the condo building security guard, saw the apartment, and knew what needed to be moved when. They were even willing to got to our storage unit a floor below the parking garage to get those items. They took care of our stuff by wrapping furniture and door frames, working quickly without throwing things around. There might have been one or two scratches total and nothing broken. Even when they stopped off for lunch (a much deserved break), they "stopped the clock" so we didn't have to pay for that time. I have moved numerous times and always get a bit anxious because the experience is almost entirely dependent on the movers. These two men made the whole experience stress-free, which I never thought possible. We tipped them generously for all that they did. I found Josh to be easy to work with and responsive to my phone calls.

Thanks for your feedback. We really are glad we had the opportunity to work with you. The movers raved about how great of customers you were and how good you treated them. That really keeps us going. The stair fee is written into our tariff (governing laws of our rates) which we are mandated to follow per the ODOT. We share this tariff with over 7 other moving companies in Portland. Since our hourly rate is low in contrast to other competing companies and we do not charge pre or post move travel time which over 70%of movers do; the stair fee helps offset our increased liability for injury and damages. Anytime stairs are involved our risk for both increase and our job takes twice the effort. Thank you for understanding our need to bill for this. As far as the insurance goes I'm sorry I did not explain this to you on the phone. We do offer 2 options as of now. One is the standard which is .60 per pound. The other is full replacement which offers $3.50 per pound which can be acquired for $85.00 for $10,000.00 in coverage and goes up from there depending on the value of your goods. We just recently began to offer full replacement protection and this may be why you were not made aware during booking. Yikes, Night and Day! We are return customers and we have used this company for two prior moves. Our past experiences were GREAT! We were in a bad situation and needed to move quickly and they were available on very short notice. When all was said and done, we were so impressed by how courteous, friendly, respectful of our belongings and fast the movers were (Craig & Matt)... they busted all of the stereotypes of moving companies. We were moved so quickly, both times, that we ended up paying much less than we had planned. When we found ourselves having to move unexpectedly, yet again, less than a year later, we knew exactly what moving company to call. As had been our prior experience, the owner (Josh) was professional and helpful, able to lock-in a moving date that worked for us. We had requested the same movers that had worked for us in the past, but unfortunately they were no longer available. This made us a bit apprehensive, however, we figured with all of the positive reviews on here and what we thought were the high standards of the company that we would probably have a similar experience. Unfortunately our apprehension was warranted with this moving experience. They arrived slightly late (approx. 10 minutes or so) which was not a huge issue, however we felt it was worth noting. One member of the crew clearly did not want to be there (after working several days straight, according to him) and spent the first few hours complaining and working extremely slow. While we felt sorry that he apparently had to fill-in at the last minute for guys who called-in sick/injured (at least that is what we were told)? he didn?t have to take it out on us by being apathetic and working at a snail?s pace. Meanwhile, the other member of the moving crew (who, wore the company shirt and went by initials) did his best to keep a respectable cadence, having more of a similar attitude to the guys from our prior moves. When we expressed our concerns of how long the move was taking we think he tried to motivate the other mover to pick-up the pace. Also, I don?t know if these movers were new to the company, but they were much more rough with our belongings than the past crew had been, leaving minor nicks and scratches on multiple items and because we have not fully unpacked we are questioning whether everything made the trip intact. To our amazement when we FINALLY ARRIVED at our new place, things went a bit faster, despite the fact that they were now having to ascend a flight of stairs instead of just 3 stairs at the place we moved out of. At that point the move had already taken longer than either of our previous moves even though we had less heavy/large items and fewer boxes than either of our past moves. We became concerned as to whether we were going to be able to afford this move. Also differing from our past experience, this time a few items of furniture were taken apart and later reassembled? we did have to decline one offer to put something back together due to the excessive amount of time the move was taking and the fact that we still had to drop some things off at storage. Finally, when we were at the storage facility and our last few items were put away we were dreading the bill as it had taken nearly 2 hours longer than either of our past experiences with this company. Ultimately everything ended up costing approximately $200 more. We are always more than willing to pay for a service, however, this time around we definitely felt that we did not get what we paid for. We still gave them tips as we know that moving is a hard job and we were thankful that the job was done, but it was more out of courtesy than true appreciation (unlike our past experiences which exceeded expectations) as we were not fully satisfied with this particular move. We really hope that there are no moves in our future anytime soon, because we wouldn?t know what to do, at this point it seems like luck (or unluck) of the draw with this company. We hate to say it, but after all of this we?re really not sure that we would recommend this company as our experiences were vastly different. We rated this experience a "C" but if given the option we would have rated it a "C-minus".

When we first were calling to get quotes from different moving companies, Priority Moving was the only company that came to our house in person to give us a quote. We were quoted 5 movers and 2 trucks for 12 hours. We decided to use Priority Movers and scheduled to have our furniture moved on Saturday May 4th. Shortly afterwards we received news that we couldn't take possession of our new home until Saturday May 11th. Priority Movers were able to reschedule us for our new moving in date. They showed up on time and were extremely fast. At times I wished they would actually slow down a little. Some of our wood furniture ended up with small nicks and indents They were able to get us moved in only 5 hrs, which we appreciated. We later learned they had another job scheduled after ours.

I put my back out and needed help moving. Because it was close to the move date, I called Josh after reading reviews on Angie's List. Told him I needed a few heavy/bulky things moved because I have a bad back. He wouldn't give me an estimate (even just a ball-park figure) over the phone, but I went on the reviews. His price turned out to be good in the end. Would have been nice to know the hourly rate, minimum time, etc, beforehand. I had a construction delay and Josh was great about letting me move the date back a day. We scheduled the move for Friday afternoon. My contractor would be finishing up in the morning and I could not get my furniture into the house until after about noon. Unfortunately, I got a call from the driver Friday morning at 8:45 am telling me that their first call cancelled and they would be right over. I told them I wasn't fully packed yet, so they said they'd go out for coffee. I said give me an hour. I hadn't even eaten. They showed up at 10 am, 3 hours before they were scheduled. They took the furniture and a few boxes, but I still had several boxes left to pack. They loaded up what I had and delivered it to my house across town. Because the contractors were still there, they had to put everything in the garage. The whole thing took a little over an hour, start to finish. Minimum is 2 hours. I am now in the middle of moving all the things I didn't have time to box up, and going back and forth across town. My back is killing me and I'll be sleeping on the floor tonight because my bed is in the garage under a bunch of boxes. I will also have to pay someone to come out and move all my furniture from the garage into my house. Would I recommend these guys? No. They really screwed this move up for me by not giving me the option to move at my regularly scheduled time. I still have more loads of stuff to bring over myself, then I can start cleaning the apartment. Hope I'll be out by midnight.

My experience was very positive leading up to the move. Josh was easy to work with and professional. I needed to have some stuff dropped off at a second location after the move and he accommodated that request. There are two reasons for my less than stellar review: 1. Asking me to pay cash at the last minute rather than a check. 2. The moving guys themselves were inexperienced. I think the cash request came from a few prior customers who wrote bad checks. That makes it very difficult for a small business like Priority to keep going. Whoever you losers are that didn't pay for a service rendered - shame on you. That being said, I didn't have cash ready to pay on the spot and didn't expect to pay cash. Josh did agree to send me an invoice which I promptly paid. The two guys that did the move were both pretty inexperienced. They had to work with a freight elevator that isn't very large and did their best. But, didn't ask where to put boxes as they brought them in and had trouble with a few large items. I think it is OK to have one junior person on a move but you need at least one senior person to guide them. I thought the price was fair.

Description of Work: An analysis of my needs and property was done, an estimate provided and a move date scheduled. On that date three movers arrived very punctually, loaded their truck, moved my belongings to a new home in Portland, which, because it is a highrise, had some challenges. After packing most of my stuff and wondering how on earth I'd move it all to my new apartment, I decided to hire professional movers. I found Priority on Angie's List and was impressed by the reviews, so I gave them a call. I scheduled the move with Josh over the phone less than 2 weeks before the move-I was so glad they fit me into their schedule, since it was pretty last-minute! Tyler and Noah showed up promptly with a 26ft truck at 7:55am, and got started right away with a walk-through and an estimate of how long it would take to pack up the truck, as well as a rundown of rates and fees. They were super careful with all my furniture, thoroughly wrapping it up so it wouldn't get damaged. They provided wardrobe boxes free of charge. They were friendly and didn't complain about all my stairs. :P I was really impressed by how well they packed up the truck. My stuff fit easily with plenty of room to spare, even with my giant kayak in there. They obviously know what they are doing! Upon arrival to the new apartment, they rolled out out mats to protect the carpet, and made sure the furniture and boxes were placed where I wanted them. They were cheerful the whole time and worked tirelessly to finish the move as quickly as possible.The move took exactly 4 hours from start to finish, which I think is impressive considering all the stuff I have. All in all they exceeded my expectations and I will definitely hire Precision Moving again the next time I move. Thanks guys!!!
Description of Work: This was an in-town move from Beaverton to Portland-Sylvan Heights area, about a 10-15 minute drive. I was moving from a 1200 sq. foot 2-bedrooom townhome with garage to a 2-bedroom, 884 sq. foot apartment with garage. In addition to the regular furniture from a 2-bedroom home, I had 2 large bird cages, a lot of sports equipment such as a 14-foot kayak, 3 bikes and a ton of snowboarding gear that needed to be moved.

Josh came out before our move date and gave us an estimate which was reasonable for the number of hours it could take to move our things. He was very helpful in suggesting how we could save time and money by dismantling furniture that could be awkward to fit into the doorways of the new house. He told us what items we should not risk sending with the movers as well. On the day of the move, Dawn and 2 other movers came exactly on time and looked at all the stuff that needed to be moved before moving it to the truck. They moved all the stuff to their truck very systematically and carefully. They plastic wrapped some items (like bookshelves) so that the pieces stayed together and wrapped some large glass items in blankets. They asked us to go around the house to make sure nothing that needed to be moved was left in the house. I think that was very helpful as we did find some items while checking around. Their truck followed us to the new house and we saw that they were super careful in their driving as well. At the new house they carefully placed all the items in the rooms that we told them we'd like them in. If in doubt, they asked us. Both houses have hardwood floors, so they lay their masonite carpet, and placed all items (heavy and light) very carefully on the floors. Most importantly, they were super-efficient and fast. They didn't waste their time while working on our job, and when they took a 5 minute break they told us about it. Finally, the move was completed in less time than estimated, thanks to these 3 movers. All three movers were friendly, and courteous as well. We will definitely recommend this company to our friends and use them in future when the need arises. Thanks Josh and team!

Overall, this was a great experience and so worth it to have someone move my household for me. I didn't have an aching back and I am able to enjoy setting up my house without having to recover first. :)
Description of Work: Integrity comes to mind when asked to review this company. Everything was exactly as they said it would be. They came out to my house (no charge) to survey what I needed moved, explained the process, and gave me an estimate. The actual cost was much lower than the estimate. This is a great moving company that is careful with your possessions, yet worked very quickly and didn't waste any time getting things out of one house and into the other. They were friendly, polite, and very pleasant to work with. It was a positive experience and I would highly recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Josh's crew Kevin and Noah arrived early to the storage unit. The truck was appropriately sized for the amount of stuff. They did a great job moving stuff from the truck into the destination house. Fininshed early and actually was charged less than original bid. Summary: movers arrived early, finished under estimate and nothing broken or missing. Would definately recommend for local work (PTLD to Astoria).

They showed up on time. They were professional and friendly. They moved very fast which I appreciated since I was paying them by the hour. They protected my furniture well and were very receptive to any requests that I had about taking extra measures to protect certain things that were very valuable to me. Unfortunately, there were a few things that got a little nicked up but that is probably unavoidable. They were minor. They were very hard working and at one point had to trouble shoot a difficult item into the house which involved carrying a very heavy refrigerator up a steep stair case out doors that was very slippery due to the rain. I would use them again and would definitely recommend them. I also liked that this company didn't charge me for their travel time to and from their shop. I had done my research on Angie's list and called around to get other bids before deciding to go with Priority Moving. Many of the other companies charge for their travel time.
Description of Work: There were two movers that showed up to to move all furniture and other heavy items from one house to our new house, which was in inner city move. We did our own packing of boxes and were responsible for those items. They did not get all of our furniture in the truck that they showed up with, but offered to go back and get the rest when they were done unloading.

I could not be more pleased. Another company I reached out to gave me a bid of appx $5,000 to move my household to California, but they were unable to include my car with the move. Josh was able to move my car at just $250 more -- which I would have easily spent on gas and motels, not to mention the time spent on the road. I had used Priority Moving several times in the past and was happy with my experiences, so I knew I could trust them with my things, and to do what they agreed to do and for the price we agreed upon. They came through again for me this time. They are experts at wrapping furniture, padding everything, and handling things gently. They moved me quickly and efficiently. I could not have done this huge move without them! On top of everything else, they are wonderful people, very helpful and friendly. I can't recommend them highly enough!
Description of Work: Priority Moving moved me from Portland Oregon to Orange County California (Rancho Santa Margarita). Josh Duddleston, Priority's owner, visited my house twice; once to estimate the bid and another time, right before the move, to make sure things were ready. Josh and his brother picked up my household things starting right on time at 7 a.m. on January 28th - they packed my mirrors and complicated electrics such as the TV and DVR (I had everything else packed). They moved everything in the place, including all the furniture and the refrigerator. They had the truck loaded by approximately 10:30 a.m. They picked up an auto transport trailer and attached my car so that I could fly to California rather than drive. They kept in touch with me via text as they traveled. They arrived in Orange County at my new place by 3 p.m. on January 30th. I met them at my hew house, and they unpacked my things, reassembled the things I needed, and organized the boxes so I could get to them. They were finished by approximately 6 or 6:30. They left to return the truck and trailer, then they flew back to Portland.

Josh came out to do a bid a few months prior. Very friendly and up-front with all costs involved. He walked through the house to get estimate for the number of people and trucks that would be needed. From that, he gave a total cost estimate based on a projected move duration. On move day, Kevin, Matt, and Noah showed up on-time. We did a short walk through of the house and I explained what I wanted taken and left. The first thing they did after that was lay down rubber pads on all the carpets and rugs to minimize the mess (it was drizzling out that day). They all worked hard and loaded the trucks quickly. We had packed well, so it was mainly a matter of carrying and loading. On the other end, after a quick bite of lunch (which I provided) the crew unloaded quickly with minimal mess. They again laid down rubber pads, but this time we ended up with a few minor spots on the new carpet where the pads didn't reach. However, given the speed at which they worked, this was understandable. Overall, the crew did a great job and were a pleasure doing business with. Everyone I worked with was friendly, courteous, and diligent. I highly recommend them.

We had already moved a few loads over, and were planning on using Priority for the "big stuff". It turns out we had left enough to completely fill their 18" truck. Noah and Jeremy showed up promptly, a bit early actually. They worked quickly and diligently, and treated our items with more care than if we were carrying them ourselves. :) They easily dealt with the stairs at both the pickup and delivery side without any issues, and took care not to damage our newly refinished floors. All-in-all, it was about $400 for 3.75 hours. They did a great job, and I'd definitely recommend them.
Description of Work: Priority moved most of our 2 bedroom apartment into a house on the other side of town.

Called Josh the Monday before our Saturday move. He had an afternoon time slot available. We chose Priority Moving because of the price ($96.50/ hour for 2 men and the truck) and just a 2 hour minimum, even on Saturday. Mileage was included and there was no travel charge to our location. There was a $30 surcharge for more than 10(?) stairs... no big deal! Don and his partner finished their AM job and arrived at 12:45. They came in and looked over the job. Since there were stairs involved there would be a $30 surcharge which Josh had told me might apply. They started the clock at 1:00. We had already moved the majority of our possessions with our pickup truck... all that was left was the big pieces. We had a list of the items we wanted moved and the order we wanted them moved in (farthest into the house first). They found this very helpful. Our biggest/heavy item was an adjustable double bed which they handled with ease. We have a brick steps going down from our porch that are easily chipped. They put down a runner to keep this from happening. They wrapped the furniture with plastic to prevent damage and none occurred. We opted out on the insurance which valued each item by weight. At the new house they again put down a runner to prevent tracking in dirt. They moved quickly and professionally and were very friendly with a great attitude. All was done in three hours. I had told Josh I wanted to pay with my Visa card, so they called him and I gave him my info to bill me using his square account. Good, fast and cheep... very professional... they ticked all the boxes. I recommend them and would hire them again!

From the first phone call to Jeff at Portland Movers Ready (All Pro Movers) our experience was exceptional. I called a month before to secure the date. He wanted to know how many workers we wanted. We decided 3 would be perfect. They drove to Keizer Oregon. They arrived on time and ready to work. They never stopped. They wrapped our furniture, they packed it perfectly. Then they drove to Woodland Washington and unloaded everything. They put everything where we wanted it. They set up the washer and dryer. They had to remove doors and then put them back up. I was so impressed. I highly recommend them. We still have a storage to have moved and when the time comes we will use them agaiin.

Three men showed up right on time. They were very personable guys and very hard workers. They moved all types of deck pots, furniture, boxes, etc. but were careful about their work. Of course, it was raining that day so it made extra efforts even more important which they handled very well. The loading, etc. went well and then we went to the new location for unloading, which also went well. The guys worked very hard; in fact they ended up making a second trip to the house we were moving from to get the remaining items. Overall, I was very pleased with the professionalism of the workers and Josh, the owner, who I had contact with several times as he checked on the overall progress and our satisfaction. This is an excellent company, very concerned about the customer. Their overall price was also very competitive and their work was very good. Don't hesitate to work with them as they will do I good job for your move.

We had a great experience with these movers, they came a few weeks before our move, went over all of our items that needed to be moved and gave me an estimate. When it came time to move the guys were courteous and professional. The actual price was the same as the estimate, which was great. The move went smoothly and was a positive experience for our family. We would recommend/use this moving company again.
