Kevin was great! He was very knowledgeable and I just appreciated him repairing our gas fireplaces.

It was great all the way through the Assessment of my wood stove. Couldn’t be happier.

They made it easy for me and I was able to pay over the phone.

While those I worked with were nice I started the repair early July. I was told needed to order a part. Several months later I contacted. Came out but part was faulty. Had to reorder. Contacted in December came out Jan 2nd. Repair person fixed issue related to incorrect wiring but then fireplace would not turn off. He came back fixed then after leaving g would not turn on. Came back third time and replaced wall switch. I do not like to write negative reviews but felt communication and timing of repair could be greatly improved. In the end its fixed and we can enjoy our fireplace again

I recently had a less-than-satisfactory experience with Refiners Fire Services concerning my two fireplaces: one troubled and one functional. Prior to their visit, I had provided detailed information about both fireplaces, expecting this would streamline the repair process. Unfortunately, the technician identified a faulty controller module in the troubled fireplace but mentioned that due to its older model, sourcing a replacement part might be challenging. This was a significant letdown as I had already provided the model details in advance, and I expected the company to be aware of the availability of parts for my specific model. Moreover, after completing the diagnosis and servicing the working fireplace, there was no follow-up from the company for four days. It was only after I initiated contact that I was informed they were still searching for the part. The lack of proactive communication on their part was disheartening. I would have appreciated at least an update or an acknowledgment of the ongoing search. To add to my disappointment, they promptly sent an invoice for the service on the working fireplace on the same day, which contrasted starkly with their slow response regarding the troubled one. This experience has led me to believe that their professionalism and customer service are lacking. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Refiners Fire Services. I expected more efficient and customer-focused service, especially given the detailed information I had provided beforehand.

They were incredibly efficient, professional, and tidy. We learned that 4 of our 9 fireplaces just needed to be cleaned and serviced. They are researching parts and solutions for our other units that are not working, including our wood burning fireplace. Our plan is to have a continued relationship with them to maintain our fireplaces in the future.
