Gentle John's Moving

The job involved a tradeoff between assigning one extra person to get the job faster vs. getting the job done less expensively. Gentle John went with 2 people instead of 3, and that seemed to be the right choice, especially in view of the distance moved.

I requested to be called prior to truck arrival because I was not the pickup location. They did not do that. It was in a gated condominium complex and the movers showed up and waited at the wrong street address. They were there for 45 minutes before I could convince them they were at the wrong address. Language barrier. Fortunately my destination was not far away so it did not interfere with my 3-hour minimum rate. When we finally got together they were very nice and competent...

Anthony and Leandro were awesome. Great workers, friendly and professional.

In my opinion, the mattress could have been wrapped a bit better for storage.

The guys were quick & efficient. They arrived on time & got right to the task at hand. We moved out of our home of 30 years & their truck was large enough to hold everything in one trip! These guys are the real deal 😆

Roberto and Oscar were great! They were right on time on moving day. They were careful with our furniture and packed the storage unit exactly as asked. Andy and Chris in the office were great too. They called to verify what we wanted moved and then confirmed the day before. I would definitely hire them again!

The three-man crew were certainly gentlemen however I do not think my belongings were handled gently. Several items were broken and/or scratched. Ive moved across the country 3-4 times and never had anything broken or scratched. I personally packed and moved over 20 boxes myself. Nothing I packed and moved was harmed in any way. Moving what remained in a 2 bedroom condo to only 1.3 miles away took from 1:30-9:00 p.m. and the cost was several hundred dollars more than I anticipated. The furniture was not all wrapped as I expected and that was part of the dent/scratch problem. I realize things happen but still have not received an insurance claim 12 days later.

These guys were great. They went above and beyond our expectations for movers. I would definitely hire them again.

Movers were very professional and nice.

The team assigned was fantastic and the company provides great customer service.

Overall I was pleased with their service, but had some issues with the time I was charged. I didn't need movers at the job site at 7am or 8am, when our leasing office didn't open until 9. I wasn't informed until after the job that I could schedule the start time. $400 dollars later now I know.

All three guys worked hard the entire time. I thought they did a good job, in general. I wish they had spent a little more time wrapping up some of the bigger pieces of furniture which got dinged a little bit. Nothing significant… Will be fixed with either furniture coloring pens or wood putty. I would recommend this Moving company.
