I wasn’t really that satisfied with their work. When I took my car in to get an oil change, it looked like it hadn’t been changed in a very long time. So I wondered if they even did the work that they said they were going to do. Only one of my boxes was replaced while they charged me for two. Immediately after I got the tail-light replaced, it burnt out again.

We started our shopping with this dealership based on past experience and ended up buying our car from them after comparing three other dealerships in the Portland area. I would recommend them highly for their good service, prompt response to inquiries, size of inventory (vehicle selection), and competitive pricing. I dealt with Greg in showroom sales and Norine in internet sales. Greg gave us a great experience test driving the vehicle. We were particularly impressed with the way he asked us what we wanted in a car and then told us the different models. Other dealers didn't take us seriously when we visited, but Greg gave us his total attention from the start. We liked the car so much that we bought it after dealing with Norine in internet sales in order to negotiate the price. At first, she said that my offer was too low, but after speaking with the finance people, she called me back a couple of hours later and said my offer was fine without any of the add-ons. She was upfront about the actual price the dealer paid and showed me why the offer I made was fair. We believe we got the best price in Portland for this car. Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend them to anyone shopping for a Honda.

My 2005 Accord's throttle body failed when the car was just 3 months out of warranty. An independent mechanic suggested that Honda ought to cover the repair anyway. Beaverton Honda did not want to cover it, but suggested that they could partially cover it if I purchased a number of other (unnecessary, in my opinion) services from them. At the urging of the independent mechanic, I contacted the parent company. They were very helpful, but Beaverton Honda told the parent company they had already offered to cover the part -- they apparently left out the bit about the contingencies. It wasn't fully clear even if the service person I had been dealing with had fully informed his supervisor about the details of our negotiation. When I told my contact person at the parent company about the bad deal I had been offered by Beaverton, they were surprised. They contacted Beaverton Honda again and ironed things out. Ultimately, the part was covered by the parent company, no strings attached. In the end, I was unimpressed with Beaverton Honda's lack of professionalism in dealing both with me and with the parent company.

This is a follow-up report for work done several months ago. I had my oil changed then, about two months prior to the scheduled change, because I figured I'd get it done while I was there for other work. Last week, the 'maintenance required' light went on, so I scheduled an appointment at a Honda dealer (a different one, as I was quite unhappy with the service provided at Beaverton Honda), went in, and it turns out that my car still thought it needed an oil change, because the people at Beaverton Honda had forgotten to reset the car's computer after changing the oil. Why did I have to waste an hour and a half getting to the dealer, just to have them find that nothings wrong with the car, just that Beaverton Honda had made yet another mistake while I was there?!? Don't waste your time, don't go to Beaverton Honda.

Great! This was my 2nd time using Beaverton Honda (1st was for a simple oil change and tire rotation). Customer service was excellent. I waited less time and paid less for the service than expected b/c my rep noticed that I'd had my tires rotated recently and cut that cost out of the service. So many places try to add on services you don't need and it was nice that the rep here actually read thru my previous records and subtracted something that I didn't need done. Plus - the dealership has a very nice, spacious waiting area with free coffee/hot cocoa, fruit, 2 desktop computer (connected to the Internet), wireless Internet, TV and newspapers - all for customers. They also have a shuttle service.

They did not verify the work order with me when I left my car there, so I had to wait an extra hour while they performed the oil change they had forgotten to write down. They did not check my first name when I dropped off the car, and so they assumed I was another woman with my last name. So, assigned my VIN number to her. That also meant I waited an extra half hour because they couldn't find me in the waiting room because they were calling the wrong name. When I dropped off the car, they assumed that my car was another Honda that we own; rather than simply looking at the car sitting right in front of them. So, they could not find the recall notice on the car, until I looked at their computer and saw that they were looking at the wrong car. How many wrong things can they do in one visit? I just pray that they fixed the car and changed the oil correctly. I'm never going there again!

I am a loyal Honda owner; I have owned (5) Hondas previously. I did not feel the dealership was upfront with me on price and fees. Fees that I thought were out of the deal showed back up in the deal, but were hidden. Finance had to re-do the paperwork (3) times to get the numbers even close to what I agreed. They were not willing to negotiate much on price. Fairly responsive to phone, not very responsive to email. I felt that the "next" customer was more important than the "last" customer. Car was delivered with chipped windshield, but at least the dealership pointed it out (and will fix it). Car had other problems as well, included a malfunctioning door that made the car un-drivable the first day. I did not walk away feeling satisfied; I will not use the dealership again (I had used them in the past).

THIS DEALERSHIP IS UNTRUSTWORTHY AND SLIMY. THEY LISTED A USED NISSAN ON THEIR WEBSITE, SO I CALLED AND SPOKE WITH THEIR LEAD SALESPERSON ABOUT WHETHER IT WAS ON THEIR LOT. HE SAID IT WAS. HE EVEN TOLD ME HE HAD DRIVEN IT JUST THE PREVIOUS DAY. I DROVE ALL THE WAY THERE, WITH MY KIDS, AND IT WASN'T THERE. THEY EVEN TRIED TO CLAIM IT WAS MY MISTAKE, AND THEN SAID IT WAS THEIR MISTAKE. THEY TREATED ME LIKE I WAS A FOOL AND TRIED TO GET ME INTERESTED IN OTHER CARS. THIS IS AN OLD BAIT AND SWITCH TECHNIQUE. THE TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME WAS HARD TO SWALLOW. ONE OF THEIR SALESMAN EVEN TRIED TO CLAIM THAT THE CAR I SAW ON THEIR WEBSITE AND THAT THEY SAID WAS ON THEIR LOT, NEVER WAS MADE BY NISSAN. I RECOMMEND YOU STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DEALER.
