They gave me an estimate first and then did the work. I spent about $800 on the job. The job went very well. They came out right away; I did not have to wait for a long time. The estimate was what the actual cost was. It was all done very well. The person that did the work was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me. It definitely was a good experience. I would use them again in the future.

I had contacted 3 other companies for estimates so we had a good understanding of what the work would entail. Two companies had the same make of heat pump and the other two were different. Three different makes of heat pumps were represented, which included the one from Mill Creek. One other company's estimator was very unprofessional appearing and in demanor, which totally made me decide against them. Another company's estimator was a bit arrogant, in that he just eyeballed the current system, didn't do any measuring, suggested more metal work and was gone within 20 minutes. From my original contact, Mill Creek Heating and all representatives were highly professional, pleasant and helpful. Toby was the estimator and thoroughly went over every detail with me. He explained why things needed to be changed, if necessary. Realizing we had a very old system (one we hadn't used in many years due to a faulty compressor), there were quite a few elements that did need to be changed. He measured everything, then gave us a complete estimate on a Trane sysem. There were several estimates, one for a lower capacity model, one for a higher capacity model and one with an air filtration system. I liked that he sat down with his estimator and within a relatively short time was able to complete it and leave it with us. We went with the higher model and air filtration system. Work was able to start within a week, unlike a couple of the other companies who couldn't begin much later than that. One other company didn't get back to me for more than a week; another didn't get back to me at all until I emailed several times and then received an apology from someone else in the office. That really put me off their company. Mill Creek didn't waste any time in coming out to give me an estimate and was respectful of our desire to get more than one estimate. They worked with us to keep the cost as competitive and low as possible, giving a bit of a break for paying cash up front and a senior discount. When the work commenced, they were usually here even a bit prior to the time they said they would be. All workmen were clean, respectful and professional. I was amazed at how clean they left the area each day they worked. It did take a couple of days to complete, but we were very pleased with the result. We were going to apply for the tax credit on the system, so it was necessary to have it tested to comply with all requirements for an energy-efficient unit. It did take a bit of time to do that, but the fellow who was doing the testing just kept with it until it passed. All follow-up work and inspections were done in a timely manner and very professionally. We will highly recommend them to anyone needing either a complete system, or work done on an existing system. We felt they were competitive, willing to work with us and have installed a very good heat system. They offer a one-year free membership for care that includes free filters and changing, as well as checking the system to be sure it is operating efficiently. The membership is approximately $140 for a year, which we think is very reasonable for not having to worry about any of this ourselves. There have been a few times, especially during colder weather when the system would kick in on auxilliary heat, that I called to be sure it was working correctly, not understanding that it would do that at a certain temperature, and they were very polite with my questions/concerns. They even sent someone out to "tweak" it so it wouldn't kick into auxilliary at such a high temp. All in all, we are very pleased with everything. The only concern we have is that it is noisier than our older system. We know every time it turns on, but for the job it does, we accept it.

We got several estimates and most of them said we should stick with the same size heat pump that we had except for Mill Creek. Toby said we needed a little bigger system for the size of the house. He came out several times and we felt he was the one most interested in our business although he wasn't the cheapest. I think when the first system was put in it was fine, but the former owner added a den and family room. It always seemed to take a lot to heat the house. They did a very good job. We paid a little over $7000.00,but with rebates we ended up paying about $5000. We have been very happy with the new system and would recommend Mill Creek to anyone.

It went well. They were punctual, did the work in one day and did it well. They were clean and they followed up afterward to make sure everything was working fine.

After getting two or three quotes on Central A/C I contacted Mill Creek. Since I already had others come out to the house for an estimate I was prepared for the questions they would need answered from me. They were able to give me a lot of information over the phone. I offered to send them photos of my existing furnace. We did al of the estimates and bids over the phone and by e-mail. It felt a bit awkward without them coming out, but it worked well due to my busy work schedule. If I wanted them to come out I?m sure they would have. They sell Trane products and their prices were less than other Trane Dealers. I was told the model that they normally install for jobs like mine was on back order, so they offered to give me the next model up for the same price. On the day of the installation they showed up on time and got the job done in a reasonable amount of time. They did a great job! I have no complaints and would recommend them for your heating and cooling needs.
