I contacted the company and scheduled an appt. for Monday, October 14th. The Receptionist was very nice and courteous. The technician was supposed to arrived between 8 a.m., and 10 a.m., with a 30 minute prior to arrival courtesy call. I received a call at 9:30 a.m., stating the technician was detained and wanted to reschedule for another day. I stated that I had taken off work for the appointment. Their reply was "you took the day off, then you will be home all day." They stated the technician would come out but they couldn't give a time. The technician arrived at 11:00 a.m., no 30 minute prior to arrival courtesty call. The technician was supposed to install a light fixture in our kitchen, above the sink. There was some minor re-wiring that had to be done in order for the switch to work properly, according to the technician. The junction box was already in the ceiling and the switch was already in place. We were merely replacing an old light fixture. The technician was here an hour total and didn't even install the light fixture. The technician spent approximate 20 minutes figuring the bill and giving an estimate for another job. (The estimate is for a light in my closet, nothing fancy just a regular ceiling light. The estimate is $857.00. We received an estimate from another company that we have used in the past for the same ceiling light for $200.00. We will be using the other company for our next project.) My husband ended up installing the light fixture, above the sink, himself. When all was said and done, I paid a total of $202.37 and the light fixture wasn't even installed by the company. I will NEVER use True Tech Electrical again and will not recommend them. I should have checked Tru Tech's Better Business Bureau rating before purchasing the coupon. The approximate cost of service referenced above is what the company would have charged had I not had a coupon,which does NOT include installation of the light fixture, only repair and rewire existing devices and connections ($452.37).

We haven't had an electrical storm since it was put in. It seems to be what is the standard install into the breaker panel. The electrician was very professional and left good documentation.

Did a great job, but was not on time. Had to reschedule because I had to go to work.

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List and their services turned out decent. I had a problem with them regarding the cost of the work. I paid extra other than the big deal purchase. They charged me another $250 other than the big deal purchase, but then I struggled with them and I got a $125 back from them. I would say to other members that their work was fine, but their cost was too much and I had trouble getting through to somebody in the office and working a price with them.

I needed all outlets rewired for my rental, with resets installed in two. The technician was punctual, quick, very knowledgeable, friendly, and explained how everything worked. He installed the reset style and explained how easy it was to install the others myself. So great!

I called them for plumbing involved with a bathroom remodel. Their whole house service contract sounded like a good idea, so I signed up for that. It did save me on the plumbing job and at the time I was dissatisfied with my heat and air company, so I was happy to have them do my seasonal tune ups. They pretty much insisted on doing an electrical inspection. They told me I needed a new breaker box which was very pricey. They also pointed out a problem with a non-grounded plug on my heat and air unit which was put there under the supervision of the electrical inspector when he was with the previous bheat and air company. My regular electrician told me none of the issues pointed out we're necessary fixes. The final straw was when we were ready to have more plumbing work done on the remodel around the holidays they had NO plumbers working. Guess my service contract would have been useless if I had a plumbing emergency. The service contract was a monthly deduction by credit card that could not be terminated until in service for a year. I ended up with that for 3 additional months when I called to cancel and was reminded that the contract stated I must cancel in writing 90 days in advance. Not a happy customer!

True Tech was both punctual and polite. They called to let me know they were on the way, showed up right on time, and installed the surge protector---just as advertised. They were very professional and I'd call them again without hesitation. Great job!

Joe installed the switch quickly and was extremely accomodating with our curious kids. He was very professional and I would use again.

Joe, the electrician, arrived at 12:40. He looked at what I wanted to have done - ceiling fan replaced - lights in living room replaced and loose connection of ceiling light in bathroom. Joe took notes made a master list with some details about the job. He gave me the prices. Asked me to pick.

FABULOUS SERVICE! I called in a panic. Josh called immediately we assessed options and he completed the job in just over an hour. Family is happy again. Thank you.

Barbara was punctual and did a fine job. My problem was with the prices the company charges. Since I bought the special offer of $75 for $150 worth of work, the price came out ok and I would probably use them again if I had that deal. Having bought the special also brought their service call price down to $44 instead of $88. Maybe I just don't know what to expect to pay for electrical work, but I thought the $150 value would cover a call and one light fixture. I wouldn't want to use them without the discounts.

They were really good. There is supposed to be a green light to tell if it's working but mine isn't working. I haven't followed up to make sure it's necessary. He did a really thorough job of checking the electrical system.

I was actually a trutech preferred customer which was basically a mistake. The biggest issue was when i had electrical issues at my house. One morning I woke up with part of my electricity was working and part was not it was really hit or miss one light in a room could be working while another one was not and same in other rooms. I called TruTech electric and a man came out to survey the issue he told me I had bad breaker boards and he's not sure if he will have to replace one or two. He said if it's one it's 2500 if it's two it's 3600. The amounts might be off by a few dollars but pretty close. He pulled out his sheets and showed me the cost. I actually told him to fix it but then I took a deep breath and decided to get a second opinion. I asked a friend if he knew an electrician and he recommended one to me. I called them up and even the lady answering the phone told me it's very unlikely the case. They send out an electrician apprentice out letting me know if it was a major issue the electrician will come out. The man starts scanning each outlet with his equipment then he opens a box in my bedroom twists a wire and then everything started working again. Apparently it was a loose wire. My cost for him coming out and fixing my 3,500 issue 75 bucks a saving of over 3,400 by not using truetech electric. I recommend you get a second opinion before you use them.

Technician arrived late...seemed confused about what she was supposed to do...was surprised it was whole house surge protection and didn't have the part with her to install...had to go get it. Process took much longer than anticipated. The price was fair, yet the service was lacking.

It was satisfactory. He was prompt and efficient. He tried to sell me something I didn’t want or couldn’t afford at the time but I think that was part of his job. Overall, the service was very satisfactory. He was very friendly and very competent about what he was doing. He came prepared. He did the job and he did it within a timely manner but as far as doing a hard sale, I didn’t appreciate that. He was here on time.

I was not impressed, the call cost me $45 to get an estimate. Julia on the phone was super helpful,and the tech seemed nice enough, showed up on time and wrote up a good estimate. His estimate was over $5000 to replace a CB panel and install two ground rods, estimated time to complete, one day. Really, I know electricians are expensive but $5000 for a days work. I got two other estimates for less then half the cost. True Tech could give me a discount if I signed up for thier maintenance contract. I felt like I spent time with a used car salesperson.

I feel badly that I cannot remember the technician's name ... but he was prompt, friendly and got the job done quickly. Also, with regard to cleanliness, I couldn't even tell he had been there. Great job; great service!

Tech was late showing up, then when did looked at what I wanted done and wrote up a HIGH quote. She had to go purchase stuff and come back days later to only do the USB plug as everything else I wanted done they were way too High on. Found someone else to do for 1/2 the cost they were asking, even with Angie's List discounts.

Tech (Barbara) showed up as scheduled and did an excellent job of replacing the ceiling fan.

Very pleasant, very professional. The only problem I had was the serviceperson was not notified it was on the Angie's List coupon for the discounted price. He was ablel to contact the office and verify without any problem.

My only complaint is that I think they should have had the motor they needed when they arrived. Barbara spent an hour trying to track down a motor, otherwise excellant job. It was extremely hot in the attic and Barbara did not finish until around 1 pm. I was concerned for her in the heat. She never complained and was very professional. I would use them again.

We were very pleased. Julia was very helpful on the phone. Very pleasant and informative. Carl arrived timely and explained what was needed and what the cost would be, then set to work. He was very nice and mannerly. Drew is also very friendly and mannerly. He came to our house on a Saturday morning because I called in a panic with a house that was at 85 degrees. He was here in about 1/2 hour and in about 10 minutes had us on our way to cool.
