The service technician was very professional and personable. When he arrived it was raining so we postponed the repair work. He returned as promised and completed the repair work timely.

Explained on the phone exactly what the heating unit was doing (or not doing) and what brand. The technician that came out on time was very responsive and appeared to know what he was talking about. Inspected the unit and immediately told us that the part he needed to repair would have to be ordered and would have it the next day. The following day, he came back as scheduled, and replaced the part. Unit still did not work. Technician claimed that the blower unit and the motherboard were bad and needed replacement. Total cost would have been over $1000, but recommended a total replacement of the unit due to age (11 years old). He was really pushing a new unit instead of repairing this one. I decided to wait to decide if I wanted to repair or replace the unit. I decided to call another company for a second opinion. Glad I did. Only cost me a 2nd service call to find out the unit is working fine (blower comes on a little slow but that's all) with the part the 1st company installed. I don't think True Tech is a bad company, just didn't like the sales pitch for a new unit.

They are very dependable and they come when I need them. I only use them and I have good experience with them.

Difficult to get the tech to come to the house, the deal wasn't what was advertised in Angies list

Very impressed with the company and my technician, Joe. Prompt and courteous, he didn't try to hard-sell me on more than what I needed. All the work was done as promised, I felt like money was well spent. I'll definitely call for Joe at TrueTech the next time I have electrical work to be done.

The breaker that controls our living room blew and would not come back on. We found an Angie's List coupon for True Tech and called them in the afternoon, and they were able to have a technician out the same day! Alan and his trainee were very professional and informative, talking us through every step of the process of finding the problem and replacing a breaker. After they'd replaced the breaker, they checked every switch and outlet to make sure they'd fixed the problem.

They did an excellent job, hanging the fan on our vaulted ceiling. It has worked wonderfully.

They did quality work. They were a little higher than most plumbers, but they get things done right.

The service was fine and they did not charge us anything other than the big deal price but the service might have been rescheduled one time. My husband was the one who took care of the actual person who was there.

The fires electrician sent out was rude and when I refused to pay him more money, he said, "I can't help you" and then left. I wanted an electrical outlet replaced and a ceiling fan put up. When I bought the fan there were signs all over the store in the ceiling fan area that said installation of ceiling fans for $99. The first electrician wanted $179. The second wanted over $200. He also said he would have to get a city permit to install a ceiling fan. Which I thought was a lie as I have had friends that had ceiling fans installed by a licenses electrician and nothing was said about a city permit. I just felt like I was being over-charged. It might have all been correct, but I felt like I was being over-charged.

They did a good job in all three items. The ceiling fan repair took some trouble shooting and were up to the task. Thanks.

First tech found blown fuse and replaced it in air handler board. This caused the transformer to blow. He worked hard but did not find the true source. He called in expert elec help who found the problem and corrected it. I was quite satisfied with the work they did.

I called True Tech to ask if the deal they offered on Angie's List could be used for installing a garbage disposal. The lady in the office said she was not sure and would find out when they had their next staff meeting that week. This was over two weeks ago and no one has called me back. I have since called Cherokee Plumbing and have was told the price. I have set an appointment for them to come out next week.

I called the company to set up an appointment within two days of deal purchase. The work was performed on 4/18/14. The appointment was between 8-10 am. The company scheduler called me at 8:40 am to let me know that the technicians were on their way. The technicians arrived at 9:45 am. I showed them all the circuit panels I knew existed in the house. There were three. The two technicians systematically tested each electrical outlets and labeled the circuit panels accordingly. At the end of the project, the lead technician explained to me his recommendations for the electrical system in the house. I had a few questions and he explained to me in language that I could understand. He also advised that I should call for service if I observed instability in the electrical system such as light dimming. I am happy with the service. I recommend having clearly labeled circuit panels. The company also cared about customer service. I was contacted shortly after completion of the project for feedback.

The service provider showed up on time and spoke to me about briefly about any concerns. I explained that this was just preventative maintenance. I showed him where the units were and allowed him to work. Maybe 15 minutes later he asked me to come check out the air conditioning unit and explained that my refrigerant was low and (long story short) that I had a leak, which was a pretty bad thing for various reasons, the biggest of which was that it would need to be replaced or repaired. He spent about 15 minutes writing up two very detailed quotes with several options for each. The two quotes were for repair and replacement, respectively. $368 for a leak search, $338 for new R-22 (refrigerant), $231 "pressure with nitro," $154 to vacuum system totaling $1,091; three additional steps in the repair quote that he recommended included repairing "with Braze if possible" ($187), new a-coil ($2,383), and new line set ($895). The replace quote ranged from the low "Angie's List" special for a new a-coil and condenser for $2,997 to $8,609 for "the second best unit [they] have." I am not against spending money when needed. I'm not against being thorough or exploring potential avenues of repairing or replacing; however, this is my first negative review due to the fact that at no point did the service provider offer any option to add refrigerant now and see what happens to assess if the leak is as severe as he had described it. I didn't feel comfortable moving forward with the costly repairs since the system has never had any problems other than a replaced capacitor a couple years ago. I called another local heating/air company, and they came out the following day as a courtesy to offer a second opinion. The technician asked me a few questions, walked me through the process that he used to measure everything, confirmed I was in fact low on refrigerant and had a pitted contactor. He asked how long I'd lived there (9 years) and said that it could have been leaking the entire time so it was most likely a small leak. At that point, I showed him the quotes from True Tech, and he simply smiled. He acknowledged that sometimes technicians from larger companies feel pressure to push services that may not necessarily be needed; out of respect, he said no more. He didn't deny that those services would fix my problem, but he recommended that we add some R-22 and replace the contactor. He'd come back in the middle of the summer to see if there was a significant drop - then we could go the repair or replace route. Furthermore, after a thorough inspection while charging the unit with refrigerant he noticed the shredder valve was leaking and replaced it. He said there may be another leak somewhere and we may still have to replace, but confirmed that a slow leak like that over the last 5+ years was likely "the leak." But we'll know for sure when he comes back out (free follow-up) later in the season. Oh, and the cost...for everything...$152 (half of what True Tech was going to charge for the R-22 alone). To top it off, the technician for True Tech never even told me what he did for the $130 "tune ups" for my units. I was also supposed to get a couple filters, which never happened.

Appointment was made to correct problem with kitchen faucet and spray and to replace my existing garbage disposal. Tech looked briefly at faucet and said he could take it apart but didn't know if he could fix it. He did try blowing thru the spray hose. It didn't fix anything. Then we asked him to just replace our disposal with the one we had already purchased. He said it would be no problem. Then he wrote up an invoice for us that it would be an additional $210 to replace the unit. That was $366.00 installation fee plus $44.50 travel for a total of $410. Minus my $200 coupon, another $210. We told him to never mind. I called another plumber who is going to install it for $65. Anyone doing business with this company should first ask for their price list.

Chris of TrueTech called about 30 minutes in advance and let us know he was picking up a new garbage disposal unit from Locke's Supply. Chris was courteous (picked up my mail) and friendly and professional. Work was done quickly (about an hour) and left with a clean work area. Checked for leaks which Chris did also and found none - well done.

We went to Angie's List and got an air conditioning unit. It was one of your offers that I got an email on. It was a special offer because I paid you whole. It was a wonderful deal, money-wise. We didn't need it but we couldn't pass the offer. True Tech Home Services didn't try to haggle us for higher price. They did tell us their prices and their options were up-to-date. They didn't argue when we said no. They didn't try to high pressure us. It was fair value. They were here right away and right on time. They were very professional.

They came out to give me an estimate, and he tried to sell me a bunch of other things I didn't want, and gave me an estimate for much higher than the deal I had purchased. I only wanted a couple of plugs done, but he insisted on quoting me for many other projects throughout the house.

They wanted 500.00 labor to replace a kitchen faucet. The service guy was very nice. Paid him $44.50 trip fee and had him leave. So I'm out $89 for the deal plus the $44.50, has to be the worst deal ever. Thanks Angie

I purchased one of Angie's deals. 200 dollars worth of plumbing for 89.00. I had to pay $156.00 more. I don't know anything about plumbing prices..True Tech Home Services sent Carl out . He was professional and explained every thing he did and was right up front about what it would cost. He didn't try to sell me a lot of extra things, he just listened to me and what I wanted done he figured up the cost before he started and I made the choice to get it done. He had to make 2 trips to get the right parts he needed, He worked fast, but it took him from about 1:00 p.m until a little after 3 p.m.. The inside of the toilet had not been replaced since the house was built in 1966, it was in very bad shape. Everything works really well now and we are happy with the repairs Carl did . He is a skilled plumber.
