+ 0 moreThe technician disassembled and reinstalled the new pilot assembly. In addition, he vacuumed out the air filter, which I had not done, and he explained a common issue with the gas valve on older units and showed me what they do to try to fix that. The gas fired right and up and stayed on and I had hot water back for the price of a one hour service call. The technician was quick and professional.
Description of Work: I attempted my own water heater repair. I got the gas going again, but it kept going out. I called Freedom Plumbing out to see if they could diagnose what I might have done wrong.

Advice given over phone solved the problem, still had them come next day to service unit. Performed a more thorough service than company I previously had set up on a annual maintenance plan, i.e. they took time to check duct work and taped where they thought was necessary, checked and changed back-up batteries in thermostat, in addition to other checklist items. Called before coming to make sure someone was home, was prompt, polite and professional .

+ -1 moreFreedom Heat, Air, & Plumbing has been our go to for all our HVAC needs for years. We haven't had a need for a plumber, but they will be the first we call should the need arise. Terry Troxell has handled the servicing of our air condition system for several years. When we decided we needed to have a new HVAC unit installed at our son's home we called Terry. At the time we thought he was going to be about 2 weeks out, so we tried another company. That company came out and did an evaluation, then told my son that it would be October before they could install the system since "it was too hot" to get into the attic. Terry came to the rescue and had the job done within a week. Since our daughter-in-law is pregnant, time was of the essence. Thank you Terry, and Freedom for another job well done!

Description of Work: Freedom Plumbing installed a disconnect switch for the air conditioning unit outside. Over the years, they have also performed annual HVAC cleanings, replaced the HVAC unit and condenser coils, replaced a hot water heater, and installed a new shower pan in my master bathroom shower.

He was also very good at diagnosis He went above and beyond all expectations. The only negative was being hit with a steep charge just for coming out to the property, even though it was a scheduled weekday visit.
Description of Work: He came out and diagnosed and fix a problem with our A/C. We had previously been dealing with another company that charged us a fortune and failed to fix it despite 7 repeat visits. In addition, he also fixed a fireplace, fixed a toilet, and checked on our solar fans to ensure they were correctly set and operating.

+ -1 moreI have had them out a couple times. They came out and I was really impressed. They were clean and efficient. They even called and said they were finished with their other job and wanted to know if they could come 15 minutes early. Which I appreciated that heads up because I have 2 little yappy dogs and I was able to get them squared away before they got here. There were just as polite and came in and fixed both showers and was out of here in 30 minutes. There wasn't any wasted time. They asked me what the problem was and went out and got their tools and got it fixed.
Description of Work: The first time my water in both of my showers the hot and cold wasn't mixing correctly. I have a single control.

+ 0 moreIt went very well. The plumber used pex pipe which they all use now. The only thing I would have had specified differently is that the tub spout be connected to the fixture with hard pipe rather than pex. Pex pipe has some flex so the tube spout has a slight amount of flex, but it is not a problem. The owner of the company recommended that we use a certain delta fixture that is especially simple for my 90+ year old father-in-law to use. It was an excellent recommendation.
Description of Work: Installed new tube/shower fixture and riser into new tile on a remodeled tub/shower at my father -in-law's house.

+ 1 moreI have used Freedom a couple of times for our air conditioner repair. This last time they swapped out the condenser fan motor that they had installed 2 years before. I found out that the motor was the wrong size for the unit and was loud. After 2 years I called to let them know and they researched it and let me know that the motor they put in was bigger than what should have been installed. They came out and swapped out the motor at no charge. I really appreciated their honesty and integrity. They have done good work every time they have come out. They are honest, fair, and do good work. I would highly recommend them!!

In fact he came and the last time he was here which was about three to four months ago he took me outside to the water and showed how to turn that my water and that's all that needed to be done. I didn’t really have anything that needed fixing and he didn’t charge me. I think I found them on your list. They are just super. I recommend them to. They are so nice, bright and respectful of your home. They are just really great.

+ -1 moreI now have hotter water than I have ever had in the five years I have lived here and the setting is the same as the previous water heater! No matter which faucet I turn on, hot water comes out of the spout quicker than before ( I replaced with the same size as previous).
Description of Work: I found my water heating leaking badly on Sunday evening 11 Nov 12 when I was preparing to leave the house. I aborted my shower since the water was so cold and that was what prompted me to check the garage. I found water running on the floor. I immediately checked Angie's list for help. I called several companies that had good reviews and listed their availability for emergency hours. I also called Freedom Plumbing Heating Air-conditioning. They did not list emergency hours but I have seen their truck parked in my neighborhood. Kelly Troxell returned my call within the hour and agreed to take a look since he lives in the neighborhood. He stopped the leak and hooked up the hose for draining out the water heater. He said the water heater would have to be replaced, gave me a verbal estimate if I wanted Freedom to replace, and suggested I check around the next day for options. I thanked him and asked what I owed for his timely help. He said that's what good neighbors do, essentially. I was very grateful for his help. Before he left he said I should check the room on the other side of the garage water heater. I did and was shocked the carpet was soaked. He gave me advice about pulling the padding and placing fans to dry floor and carpet, which I did I immediately. I spent the rest of the evening online researching pricing and installation options (and tearing out wet padding!). The next morning I received two callbacks from the other companies I called and left messages with. I decided to go with Freedom since they could assure delivery and installation that same day. They were price competitive considering time is money to me. I already liked their willingness to help me during the emergency. I think the delivery, installation, cleanup took about two hours that cold afternoon, Veterans Day. Kelly even installed a drain pan under the water heater and connected the unit to the drain located on the floor beneath the unit. Thus, any future leak should not have a repeat performance of leaking into adjacent rooms. All in all I am very satisfied with Freedom's service and would consider using Kelly again for any of the services they offer.
