My experience w/Midas was average at best. I had a shimmy in the steering wheel of my '06 Accord and figured that my tires had to be balanced, plus I needed an oil change. I took my car to Midas and they performed my requested service. The oil change was fine as expected, but for the price, my balance issues were not resolved. The shimmy was gone at lower speeds BUT at high speeds it was still there. As a result, I returned and explained my situation. They rebalanced the tires but the issue still persisted. It took 3 trips to Midas to resolve it.

I was going to Midas for about two years for air conditioning issues with my vehicle. I took it to them for a total of 5 times and they were never able to figure out the issue or fix it. I feel like they weren't completely honest with me. They diagnosed the issue, told me it was fixed, then a week later the air conditioner stopped working again. This went on for a while, Midas diagnosing an issue and the repair not working. I question their original diagnostic test and question the qualifications of the mechanic. After the second service I had done at Midas, I took my vehicle to an air conditioning specialist for a diagnostic ($80). They told me what was wrong with it, which was something for which Midas had just serviced it. I took it back to Midas and they told me I should have just brought it back to them. After the fourth service, I tried contacting a district or regional manager of Midas. The person I talked to was quite unpleasant on the phone and told me that there was nothing he would do. I would not go back to Midas unless it is just for an oil change.

"I spoke to the customer regarding his car and the current service provided by another company. The service the other company provided does not have any connection to the part installed on his car by Midas. It has been a year since the customer had any air conditioner problems regarding the parts installed to Midas. The customers statement regarding returning to Midas to have a part on his air conditioning system warranted is correct. He did have to return to have the Condenser warranted due to a manufacture defect on two occasions. This is why Midas has a strong warranty Policy to help customers. The Technicians that serviced his car are A.S.E. Certified in air conditioning and followed proper diagnostic procedure. I did apologize for the person that the customer previously spoke to regarding his service experience. This person only frustrated the customer and made his service experience. This person only frustrated the customer and mad his service experience less pleasurable. This customer had my direct contact number and if he needs any assistance in the future he can call at any time. Bryant Elliott"
