Hardware & Home Improvement Stores, Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel
Lowes had more variety, good quality items. Better, able to purchase right in the store - they have a good stock, Prices reasonable. Excellent customer service. Home Depot I went to did not have any of vanities i wanted in stock - also mostly generic , basic design. Will shop Lowes more! Wish they had locations near cleveland Heights, South Euclid, Lyndhurst . . .

They've done a couple of other projects for us and we've always been satisfied. It was good to have all the different components managed under one person who helped us with making the best options for us. We probably would use them again.

You go in there, you look and they give you something. The quality has been really good, we haven't had any problems with them. They were pretty good. They are always quick to come over and ask you if you need help. We went there and my wife picked out what she wanted, the features and all that. We have bought other stuff there too.

The service took forever to get the countertop in from the manufacturer. It was horrible. They kept giving us different dates and pushing it out. They kept giving different measurements and there was a bunch of conflicting information. The installers were contracted out by Lowe's and I don't know who they were. Dealing with Lowe's was very difficult, but the contractors did a good job.

I regret choosing Lowe's for my fence installation. Before I signed the contract the rep told me it would be 2 or 3 weeks before the fence would be installed. This was the promise up to the signing of the contract on 5/17/14. It took a while for my order to get from Lowe's to the contractor and for the contractor to contact me with an installation date, as I was calling rep to get a copy of my credit card receipt from Lowe's rep and an installation date for some time. Instead of scheduling within 2 or 3 weeks as promised, it was almost 9 weeks--7/17/14. I complained to the store manger who was told by the rep that no mention of installation date was made at signing of contract. That was not true--it was of utmost importance to me as I was coordinating the removal of my hedges by a landscaper. When I told Lowe's rep that I asked landscaper if I should wait until hedges were removed before signing Lowe's contract, rep said it was a good thing I didn't because I would be looking at a 5 or 6 week wait for installation as opposed to 2 or 3 weeks. Best Fence assured me that nothing would prevent installation on 7/17 except a torrential downpour. So the fence is scheduled to be installed tomorrow, and I'm following up with Lowe's manager and the contractor because no materials have been delivered. Lowe's manager says their one flatbed driver is out and they are trying to get another driver. I can't imagine that would be a problem for Lowe's. Also, before signing the contract, rep said installer would come over to look at the job before the installation date. Installer said they don't do that, and they did not. So far following up with Lowe's and contractor has cost me a lot of time and waiting for a fence far longer than promised. Personally, I feel service would have been much better if I were not a single woman, and if there were a man present in my home when the rep was here. I am 52 years old and have done a lot of business with companies, I can tell what's going on.

The front storm door and the two patio doors were replaced with new doors purchased from Lowe's. When I saw the front storm door at Lowe's, I told the Lowe's worker, Nick, that the handle for this storm door didn't have an outside key lock. Nick said he would contact Larsons (door manufacturer) and order a locking key handle, if I approved the extra cost. When the handle comes in, I would then be contacted to schedule an appointment for installing the doors and the additional repair work.
Shortly after the installer arrived, there was a problem with the front storm door handle. What the installer had was a dead bolt lock, not a door handle key lock. At this point, I feel the Lowe's worker, Nick, should have made sure I had the correct handle before the Install Dept. called me to schedule the appointment.
As not to slow down the installer, my husband went to Lowe's to buy a locking outside door handle. It was a long day, but the rest of the work went well. He did a good job.
My last comment has to do with business signs. I have underground sprinklers and I wish contractors ask before they put their business signs in the yard. I told the installer about the sprinklers after I saw the sign in the yard. My husband hasn't brought up the system yet, and hopefully, there's no issue with the sprinkler line. If so, I will be contacting Lowe's and there will be another report.

i will not use lowes for door installation ever again. these are suspose to be professional installers that do this every day. we are dismayed at the time it took to get the doors installed. 2000.00 for labor approximately. are you kidding me!!!! the worst thing about this experience was that neither installer came forth with any of these problems we had to inquire on our own to why these happened .

Had problems with workmanship as well as inferior products. Plumbers were not of the quality expected of a retailer the size of Lowes. Some of the examples are as follows: When you turn on the cold water from our new sink faucet and you get hot water, that is a problem. Numerous scratches on our new shower enclosure. Gouges on wall where they hit carrying product up the stairs. The biggest problem is getting our defective counter tops replaced, it took two visits from employes to report to the Mfg. that we had a bad top. I am now into almost the fourth month of waiting to get this resolved.

We ordered the fixtures at the store and scheduled an installer. There was some confusion when ordering regarding what would be installed by the installer. They don't do faucets. Some items were discontinued but we were never notified. We were reimbursed after a discussion with Lowe's service department. We think the prices of special ordered colors, for the sinks and toilets, are too high. The plumber, Bill, showed up on time, as scheduled. He was very friendly and professional. He completed all of the installations in a timely manner. All the work was done extremely well and he cleaned the work area.

Door Service
It was not that great. The door was ordered wrong; they ordered the wrong glass. They delivered the door then had to come back and get it and send it back to the factory. It took about a week to get a new one. There are some visible scratches on the door.

The contractor that they supplied was punctual, very polite and clean. They did a nice job. We were very pleased with the result. The customer service form Lowe's was great.
