I called Brian from Fabulous Floors to come and give me an estimate. He was able to work around my schedule to meet me at the property which was a plus for me. I was very pleased with the cost savings of refinishing the floors opposed to redoing them completely. The floor was old, stained and unattractive. He scheduled the work to be done on June 2nd. The crew arrived in the morning and before I knew it they were done. I thought for sure there would be some clean up for me to do...but to my surprise they entire place was cleaner than before the work was done. FANTASTIC job fellas. i think the floor didn't look that good when it was originally installed in the 1950's.I have several properties that Fabulous Floors will be doing for me in the near future and I am contemplating putting hard wood in my residence just so I can have them do the finishing work.

Overall, I was very pleased with them. They did excelllent work and my floors look way better then I thought they would come out. I set an appt. got the quote and then they showed up on time and finished on time. They where very professional and polite when I asked questions about the process too. I already had them do a 2nd job for me.

I received estimates from 3 companies and my first choice, who was local, was not available in my necessary time frame. So I went with Fabulous Floors and was told that my time frame and the distance would not be a problem. Well, apparently it was a problem because both factors contributed to me not receiving the kind of service I was expecting. In the interests of full disclosure, my floors did turn out to be a real bear to do. They were a mess under the carpet and the two rooms that didn't have carpet had been refinished poorly before and the previous owner used a wax to cover the problem for sale. This wax and the varnish on the floors under the carpeting made the job take longer because they had to be stripped. I am giving a lot of leeway in my assessment based on that. If that had not been the case they would have an even lower grade from me. Originally Brian estimated that the floors would take two days. That sounded like a very reasonable time frame that I had expected based on previous experiences with floor refinishing. Also, it made sense, based on the fact that they would be removing carpeting and didn't know what awaited them under it. When Jeff arrived with his crew he told me they would be done that day. This surprised me because of dry time between coats it didn't seem reasonable. However, he assured me that because he had a third person on his team that they could complete it in one day. Well, then they found that the floors were a mess and it was going to take longer. So the original two day time frame ended up being more accurate. As it turned out later, on top of the floors being difficult, one of his guys became sick so he was down to just two people. Whether this was more the problem than the fact that the floors had to be stripped I don't know. He moved a job the next day so that he could return and finish. It took him late into the night to complete. When we came to the house on Friday, after the necessary dry time, we were devastated. The floor had soaked up all the polyurethane and were like almost bare wood. The rooms that did have a noticeable coat on top where very rough. We were moving in the next day and it was too late to cancel both the movers and our new furniture delivery. When I contacted Jeff, he was out of town and couldn't come look at them or do anything about it till Monday. Consequently we had the new furniture put in the garage and we had our bed and most of our belongings moved to the finished basement, where we lived until the floors were completed. Due to this, we later had to pay movers to come back and put everything where it belonged. The whole point of getting the floors done before moving in was to not have to pay movers twice.Brian called on Sunday and was apparently unaware of the problem because he asked if we were happy with the floors. Well, of course not. Later Jeff called to say he would be by Monday evening to take a look. Monday afternoon he called to say he was on his way to complete the floor. There had been no mention of actually starting the job on Monday in our previous conversation and afternoon is not evening. Again, a communication problem. I said I thought he was just coming to look at it and put together a game plan to finish. He said that he was too far away to just look at it. Again, a distance issue. We were not ready for him to start because we had been given no advance notice that they were actually going to start it that day. So we had to set it up for Thursday. He did come on Thursday and he did complete the job. For the most part, the floors are beautiful in comparison to what they were before. However, as we have unpacked and begun living on the main floor I have discovered several signs of sloppiness. Things like spots being missed with the last coat of polyurethane. Luckily these will not be noticed because furniture will hid them.More importantly is the sloppiness in the care of my home. There are polyurethane drips on my kitchen's stone tile floor, and what looks like a small spill on a windowsill. There is stain way up on two of the doors, and I have to replace a door knob to one of the bedrooms because it is smeared on both sides with a a dark brown substance I can't figure out and won't come off. I feel this is all a result of being in a hurry due to over booking. With all of that said, Jeff did work very h****** these floors and in most areas did a wonderful job. I think Jeff is very good at what he does. However, I think they should stay within a closer radius to their location and not try to cram so many jobs in. Also, there was very poor communication in all aspects of this job.They did try to make it right and I did tell them that I was happy with the floors after. This was really because I had to lower my expectations so I could get on with moving into my house completely. I'm sorry to say that even after all of Jeff's hard work, I would not use them again.I chose them as one of my top choices because of their reviews on Angie's List. However, most were jobs done closer to them.I think for the sake of their business and their reputation, they should stick closer to home and improve their communication with both the costumer and each other.

I needed to find someone who could work quick, be professional and perform the job right. I needed someone who was affordable too. I am out of state and wouldn't be able to oversee the project. I didn't want my daughter, the gift receiver, to be stressed either. I didn't want her staying home to over see the job and over see the people working on the job. The company was great. We got everything expedited.

They were on time. Put up plastic in doorways to keep down the dust. Removed the old finish on the floors...they could of sanded a little more, as there were razor cuts from where old carpet was cut up before, but they were not deep and they stood out when the stain was put on..Jeff finished up the first coat of polyurathane about 2:30 pm and said it was walkable that evening. Jeff left the front windows open to ventilate, but it got down in the 30's so we had to close them in the middle of the night. Next morning at 7:45 Jeff was there to do the second coat. The floor only dried about 17 hrs. or so from the first coat ( i believe it should of been at least 24 hours) After the second coat dried, (Jeff said only needed 2 coats), in 1 1/2 days, we moved the couch, well we probably should of waited longer, as it scratched the floor. We admitted to this BUT there were bubbles, alot of bubbles (approx. 8-10) in different parts of the room, and that is what the couch scrapped as it was being moved..the bubbles were about 1/2 to 1 inch mostly in different parts of livingroom, either from the window being left open and it was so cold or because the first coat was not allowed to dry thoroughly, or both things..We only moved the couch, we didnt create the bubbles in different parts of the room..Well, I called Brain and he said he never heard of that, and he called Jeff, who came out 2 days later and scrapped all the bubbles up with his fingernails and recoated. In my opinion should of all been sanded and done over . I believe the whole process was done in such a hurry that it didnt have the time to dry and it could of used the 3rd coat. The bedroom floor only had 1 or 2 bubbles, but it did have pieces of "dirt" that was coated over that made it all rough and bumpy..Jeff said that would go away in time..(dont know how that would work)..I believe this all would of been a very good experience if done correctly and not in such a hurry.

I called and they came right out for an estimate. The job started on time and went exactly as they said. I trusted them & gave them the keys to the house. I wouldn't hesitate to ask them to do another job.

The two guy that did the work called ahead and showed up on time. The job took a total of three days and turned out great. For old floors that need a new look this is the place to call.

These guys are really good. The do a sanding/polyurethane finish. They did not go to bare wood and stain again. Our floors were very tired being 10 years old. The previous owners had dogs and there were many deep scratches they could not get out but the floor do look 90% better. We actually had some bare spots from the kids riding bikes in the house (yes, we are bad parents). Overall, I highly recommend!

Brian came out and qouted (for free) and he was very informative. They showed up on time and did as they said they would and finished the same day. Professional, clean and great price.

I was glad to have them and it did work and I do need it done again. I would've liked for it to last a bit longer.

They did a great job! The floor and stairs look amazing! Brian came out to the house and looked everything over, gave me an estimate and did the job the next week. He was professional and meticulous. I was a little worried they weren't going to turn out well because they were not in great condition but to my surprise, they turned out great. I would recommend them to anyone.

brian made the initial visit and gave me a price on the floor then. his price was very good so I didn't hesitate to set up the job. he measured my floor at 95 square feet. I had actually received another price which was much higher. they were all a pleasure to have work in our home. I would definitely recommend them.

They were prompt with the quote, easy to get a hold of and completed the job in a timely matter. The end product was a Superior product at a great price!
